Hmm I got curious for the needs of a Russian mechanized infantry battalion, so I made a spreadsheet with all the weapons and ammo and personnal and vehicles they have kinda like in an orbat.

Yeah also in the video description you can read:  "Enjoy our work with Slitherine Games"

Nevermind I have solved the issue - the jeep is sometimes driven by the hq, sometimes by the snipers, but they are both there always.

I have almost the same setup:
    3600X + 5700XT + 32GB RAM + MLC SSD

What helped me with reducing load times is: setting the two (texture and model) quality to balanced. Anything more will significantly affect the time to load the battle.

the other thing is setting the triple buffering for opengl in the  radeon settings (its off by default).

This way my average load time went down to 1 and a half minutes instead of 5.

I left antialiasing on as it didnt have an effect on performance. Vsync is off since I use freesync and it works.

Wow... sounds like the old days when I played close combat and ultimately discovered people could cheat...
What a sad world, but I guess just humans being humans, always looking for an edge...

    1. Buy:
    a) infantry with highest quality settings (elite, leadership +2, fantatic, fit);
    b) expensive tanks (for example king tigers) with lowest quality settings.
    2. Disembark tanks crews and hide them somewhere (or use as scouts xD).
    3. Divide infantry teams to squads (5 soldiers) and put them on the tanks.
    4. After short moment they will go inside the empty tanks.
    5. Remember to close hatchets (to hide the new commanders with helmets instead of Schirmmütze - that's how I realized).
Result: elite +2 fanatic king tigers for half price.
Current opponent units: about two platoons (don't know exactly yet) of elite (he admited it) king tigers, scout units and artillery.
My units: 5x SU-85 veteran, 2x 45mm AT gun regular, 2x 57mm AT gun regular, two platoons SMG veteran, 2x ATR regular, foxholes.
    Map: Angriff.
    What are my chances? xD
Battlefront please do something with it in the next module/patch.

You will feel more at peace with the trees if you (smoke a joint and) consider that their effect on gameplay is not represented 1:1 by their visuals. I find that their leaves conceal less than one would expect, but their trunks more so.

    Hey,
so i got the following problem, the game takes about 4-8 minuts to load in to a battle, it does not really matter if its a small battle or huge one, it loads really fast till 25-ish% and then stops for about 4-8 minuts sometimes i even get a CTD,
also the ingame performance isnt the greatest on lowest settings small quick battle i get around 30-70 fps on max settings and again small qick battle i get, funny enough, ""stable"" 25-35 fps
now i dont think my pc is not good enough got:
    win 10 64
    Ryzen 5 3600
    RX 5700 XT OC
    32GB ram 3200
and game is on 1tb SSD evo 970

If you have any idea how i could make the game run better, it would mean a lot to me so thanks a bunch !

Sometimes there seems to be something seriously wrong with spotting in this game.

These two Sikhs walk right up to a firing german tank - without ever noticing it!

    As I said:
If I had the team selected during the entire sequence, you wouldnt have been able to see the tank that is the centre of the discussion. Excactly because they dont see it!
I select the team in the end of the video to show that they still havent spotted the tank.

It is a PIAT team I sent out to engage the tank, so they could have done plenty - if they had only seen it.

Excuse me for mentioning a non-grognard RTS game BUT,  Steel Division 2 (operation Bagration) is a lot of fun.  It manages to throw enough "semi-realistic" attributes to keep ones interest.  I am enjoying the Army General portion of the solo game.  Passes the time between Combat Mission releases!
I'll duck now and prepare to be YELLED AT.

Do you guys also believe in Santa Claus still? 🙈
IMO it's very naive to believe, that a game release has been delayed for years because of a few new formations. Nobody is interessted in 4 instead of 8 carabines per squad, a few new textures with a different unit name if the game was all about simulation and depth in its glory days.
Either they have sold out long time ago or they are making their money elsewhere - for example developing cheap ****ty apps for smartphones.
IMO they are just milking the tiny fanbase and keep it somewhat on life support with empty promises and when the shop turns permanently cashflow negative, the shop will be closed and you will hear: sorry folks, after such a long time it's time to move on.
And the fanboys will believe that, too and say "THANK YOU!" for betraying and lying to us for years. 😍

26th of June during counter-battery fire ajustment, Ukrainian UAV spotted Russian EW stations Torn-MDM and R-330Zh Zhytel, covered under mask net in Mayorove village (old name Krasnyi Oktiabr) approx in 10 km form frontline and Ukrainain position in Hranitne. From the range of 14 km, the single 2S1 has opened fire, having targeting via UAV  and crowdfund-developed fire control system "Kropyva". The second shell hit deirectly. SP-howitzer fired 11 shells, most of them hit target area. Torn-MDM was destroyed, R-330 probably damaged. These stations usually work as pair. Torn makes express-analysys of frequencies and signal emmition sourses direction finding on the range 30-70 km and R-330Zh after it makes final type of sygnal determaination and supress it on the range 20-25 km
Torn can be identified by small square superstructure on the van - it is clear seen even under camo net.

Oh I am well aware that many Russians believe that NATO is expansionist and planning to attack them. But that feeling of persecution does not make it true. NATO did not and does not pursue an expansionist posture. The fact that countries in eastern Europe who used to be under the thumb of the USSR continue to feel threatened by the Russian government is not NATO's doing it is the Russian government's. The further fact that the Russian government has been using State controlled media to tell the Russian people that NATO and the west is some how against them is also a big propaganda campaign.
Just because someone fears something does not inherently mean it is dangerous. If the Russian government were to act responsibly and fairly in dealings with its neighbours those neighbours would not fear them and there wold be no need to join a defensive alliance like NATO. In fact if we ever get there we would no longer need NATO.

yes it has been argued here and no one has yet come up with valid data to show that it is anything more than a myth, though you are certainly welcome to give it your best shot including citing these supposedly declassified documents or leaks that you refer to.

Exactly. This myth has certainly been pointed out as such on these forums before. It might even have been earlier in this thread. The fact that people continue to say them does not make them true.
To be clear there never was an agreement about changes to NATO member ship. It just did not happen. The Russian Government say it exists does not make it true.

gawd dude  it isn't NATO sending little green men into other countries  wake up and smell the vodka. 🤢  Russian aggression will draw a response.  You know the old doctor story, "it hurts when I lift me arm - well don't lift your arm" can be applied here.  If Russia wants other countries to not feel threatened it should stop threatening.  A lot of folks want to do business with Russia.  The country has a lot of resources etc.  That they can't is a direct result of Russia's own actions.
and you clearly don't understand the balance of power.  NATO doesn't have to send a single trooper east.  Just cut Russia off from Swift and wait for the collapse.  Wave your anti shipping missiles all you want, there aren't any ships coming....
Any way this has gotten way off topic and frankly silly.  The question posted had to do with optics equipment etc, not the geo political balance.  I blame myself partly for the diversion so maybe we just go back to answering the OP.  Though I am still trying to find that article on Siberia.  The demographics issues Russia faces and the situation in Siberia is frankly far more important for Russia than the fate of Crimea.

And just for giggles  the weekly world news has the best headlines

That "agreement" is a perpetuating myth.  Gorbachev himself denies there was actually any agreement, yet that doesn't stop it coming up about NATO encroachment. Big brass bells or not.
As to the US spending money to upgrade Ukrainian ports - let me get this straight, the validation as to the value of these ports is based on the reaction of Russia seizing the Crimea illegally.... isn't that a circular argument? If Russian had not seized the Crimea do you think the US would be spending this money or dispatching units into Poland etc?
As to NATO membership - The UN charter determines that nations have the right to decide their own agreements.  If Eastern European nations feel threatened by Russian aggression and seek to form protective alliances whose fault is that?  Man you guys really bend over backwards trying to find validation for Russia's aggression by pointing at other nations reactions to protect themselves.  I should be used to that on this forum, but it still befuddles me.  I am perfectly happy to argue about the mistakes my country makes strategically and politically (of which there are many to be sure), but the stone wall of defense of mother Russia never being able to be wrong, produce bogus super military hardware that is all about sound bites but is still defended as something that will kill NATO yadayadayada….  Do you guys listen to yourselves and wonder about your objectivity?  Guess not.
