  1. would the crew even hear the shot bouncing off? I think not.
  2. I'm surprised he fit in there tankers were tiny manlets, made them easy to hide when bailing and fast moving hard to spot when running away.
  3. They do it at will, if under fire they may not. You do have to move your troops next to them.
  4. another reason why I would like to see which components on a tank are damaged or out out of service when crew bails or game ends.
  5. Wouldn't the bazooka shot distance matter? Far away = lowered velocity = no penetration?
  6. would be better for a move with vehicle command causing vehicle and soldiers to move together but then what mode would they use hunt, move, move fast, slow etc
  7. What exactly did the British do after bulge in ww2? Headed back home.
  8. Looks like they do not look for weak points based on experience level ran a single test 3 times, sherman III elite vs panther regular. Test 1 Sherman turret mg gunner tried to hit panther commander before firing it's main cannon. result Sherman hit by panther = destroyed Test 2 Sherman 3 destroyed by Panther 1 shot Test 3 Sherman 3 destroyed by Panther 2 shots even after being destroyed the first hit
  9. Not sure if anyone also notices but, veteran or crack tankers show signs of aiming for weak points in the armor or exploits in the tank itself when engaging? There has been instances on normandy and blitzkrieg where I have noticed this happening. Also then, Is it true green / combat training tankers just aim and hope to even hit the target?
  10. Interestingly, i tested all rarity drop down items from strict to none and chafee was available for purchase on all of them
  11. Are you saying ai is not picking it for your quick battles? I know human chosen forces it's there under single vehicles but will test to see if ai ever picks it, it may take along time
  12. Sorry for the first post it was misleading, I mentioned ring but it's wasn't like the ring wicky posted, what I meant was the cupola ring (what it's called I don't know) around the cupola just as squarehead mentions and that's the pic I was asking about. Was this cupola ring standard on shermans?
  13. @ michael thanks for the reply. I have also seen pictures of these instances in books, that you mention. So with the pintle mount (still do 360 can't it?) they would just have to move with their bodies 360 degrees around the outside of the tank if it didn't have the ring? Talk about exposing yourself to enemy fire! I notice later on they put 30s in front, and still kept 50 in back for for the anti aircraft role, which they probably kept until the end of the war. At 3:18 of this video you can see it move, but it is not a ring setup like in those pictures.
  14. thanks for the links guys, who wouldn't want a ring mount on their tank/vehicle you can engage different targets at once even if they are behind you, and if you didn't have one the whole turret would have to turn in order for you to get a bead on the target. I read most were designed so the crew could fire low inside hatch as defense when plane flew directly over the top of them in a strafe run, maybe the 360 was later put on when they realized it could be used for ground. It's too risky for me to use on troops and hard to hit htem. I just let them spot and engage with rotating scopes and use the hull and turret mgs.
  15. I have never seen my sherman fire it's .50cal to the side or back in the game(always some off degree to the front). I recently saw a video of a sherman tank hatch that had a rotating .50cal ring on it. The rotation was smooth as glass. Can they rotate the .50cal 360 degrees in real life? Does this reflect in game? Is this ring also on other vehicles and shermans with .50cal? half tracks, priests, m8 scott? OR did they come out later in war?
  16. did some more tests, experience didn't have anything to do with it -1 and +1 guys were doing it all the same.
  17. too much fussing for 1 unit and clock was ticking away
  18. There is a +1 experience, US Heavy 30cal MG team in a building that I try to set up. They see an Mg-42 team before they setup. Instead of staying quite and set it up to even have a chance, 2 team members take pot shots at the mg-42 team with carbines WHYYYYY? I try to hide them (cease firing) so they can setup the big gun and they come out of hide mode to take pot shots at it again resulting in 2 out of 5 casualties and the team moving from the upper to lower floor.
  19. From 3.12. So much smoke and enemies everywhere, what are they shooting at? Can ai get confused in smoke? Or so fatigued they think enemy is friendly? Believe it or not they both made it out alive.
  20. Since v4.0 came out normandy has just about all of blitzkreigs features such as visual gunfire, fire effects and more, I am very glad they did this. I would say get them both. You won't be at a disappoint. Best value! This complete edition bundle contains it all: the base game and all Modules and both Packs in one go, all up to date with Game Engine 4. CM Battle for Normandy BIG BUNDLE ^ that's for all of normandy packs complete 4.0
  21. configure your pop up blocker to stop them. It should already. . I don't have a problem with any pop up ads there. The reason it's not over at cmmods, is I don't agree that begging to become a member/author by email is the right path.
