  1. I did a quick battle for August in Normandy. An hour and a half battle and it was still light (twilight) outside at 10:20 pm, what time does it get dark in France?
  2. "Couple of tanks ahead of you," Maj. Hendricks radio-telephoned the tank commander. "How about us bombing them?" "You're too close. You might knock us out, too," was the reply. "Then swing your guns about 45 degrees left because those tanks are set to come out shooting." check them out http://www.lonesentry.com/gi_stories_booklets/9thtac/index.html other stories http://www.lonesentry.com/gi_stories/
  3. This is my goal. I have already taken out a tank with my half track by hitting the back of it with the .50. My next goal is to take out a tank, with the .50cal jeep. You can do it with a veteran jeep crew, and 50 will knock out a tanks engine if you are close. Hope they don't back away from armor like regular jeeps do.
  4. what about aircraft from CAS relaying info back to armor or troops via radio? There's armor or a column spotted at map grid #######
  5. Wow never new you could do that. So you are saying I can take a scout team up a hill, get info on the armor and pass it to the tank destroyer at the bottom of the hill. Does the enemy icon show for the TD even though they are at the bottom? The scouts need need talk to the TD commander so It has to be unbuttoned? I think BF should add a talk icon or something to tell when that happens would be cool.
  6. Forgot to mention both vehicles were close together. Easily within talking distance 20 ft apart.
  7. I had 1 m20 and 1 M15 CGMC halftrack just over the peak of a hill facing toward the enemy unbuttoned, 6 min later the guy in the m20 ducks inside and the CGMC starts turning it's guns toward the enemy and fires. This is the first time I have seen this happen, were they working together to spot the enemy? Unbuttoned voice commands simulated here? There was no incoming fire on the m20 or CGMC before it fired. Would it be simulating trying to bait the enemy out into visual site in real life using something reflective mirror (m20 commander) then he ducks for the half track to nail them? Weird huh?
  8. it could have stuff from CM:BO plus resistance
  9. This has probbly been discussed before but how many would be interested in a Free France module? Not from 1940 but 1944 with equipment lend to them plus their own equipment, armor, fighters and arms. It could be a small module for CMBN like the vehicle pack was. I would buy this for sure.
  10. The reason m20s and m8s were attached to TD units was to protect the flanks. I like to put bazooka teams in my m20s in quickbattles. Don't drive them inside cities keep them on the outskirts because of the open tops and speed/hiding is key to their survival. Try to keep them hull down behind something if defending. The game gives them less armor then they should have so keep them at a distance from enemy mgs and rifle fire as it will go through sometimes.
  11. You have to know how to use them right. all the troops survived enemy was fleeing under suppression, jeep survived was hull down in hedge...
  12. Churchill AVRE if the randomizer gave me one. Has anyone tried to set a breach near the bunker door with a charge? You know the same kind to clear hedges.. I have to try this.
  13. yeap fragile for sure, this books talks about polish troops taking them out with AT rifles
  14. still it's an auto 20mm... wouldn't want to get in front of that thing and will penetrate more than a inch and 1/2 of armor. That could take on a stuart tank, which had about that.
  15. Post war meaning Korea? I will try to find some photos of m10s and m36s with the tops on in Korea.
  16. send pz1 or 2 against some troops armored cars, jeeps or half tracks and you would see that it wasn't obsolete.
  17. The PzII Luchs is in the game The panzer Is, 2s were left in normandy as training tanks and were originally used in 1940 to invade france, poland and then used in italy and mostly the eastern front. I believe there should be panzer I's in the normandy game because even though they were training tanks the axis had to have put them (the training tanks) to use against the allies. They had to use whatever they had in the area.
  18. I heard somewhere that both the late M10s and M36s productions had an armor top to cover the turret, is this true and if so why is it not in the game? I have not had time to check the makers of both tanks to see if they were released. If you say that it was a field modification, well so was the culin cutter and that's in the game.
  19. You have to tick the drop down to single vehicles. It's under the suggestions button. That's because you have mech selected... If you wanted tanks you should have selected mix or armor only.
