  1. I don't have the game, although I tried the demo. I'm still hooked on playing the three CM1 games, just got them all patched to latest.
  2. I am just wondering if in combat mission the tanks select armor to engage based on threat to own self? example: a stuart tank sees two targets, a half track with only an mg and also sees a half-track with a 75mm inf gun Does the AI go for the half-track with the inf gun instead of the mg?? I hope so.. It would be the logical thing for any tanker to take out the highest threat to self first. aka priority targets. Does the game do this or no?
  3. Enemy armor hides itself in the tree cover near the objective. High ground fire on the right side proves to be ineffective for the sherman, half-tracks take a beating on the left and troops get stranded with little cover at center. (I thought they were smart enough to stay down in the wheat field.)
  4. ^ No wonder a jagdpanther turns into a hetzer and tiger is actually a panzer iv. I don't think they knew one enemy tank from the next and what they were up against in the war. Tons of Drafties.
  5. just applied 1.3 patch found off the web, had to do a little finagle unchecking read only in properties and extracting it into folder was a bear works great though.
  6. Which version of the 76mm gun? There was a 76/L52 and 76/L55 The 76/L55 APCR has a penetration rating of 160 mm of armor at 500 meters and 181mm at 100 meters.
  7. Garands being semi-auto would suppress the k98s and eventually win. No matter the skill of the German side, just too many rounds coming in on them.
  8. Somewhere in France, You have 6 US guys with Garands and 6 Germans with K98s. They are in a firefight at 60 yards distance on even ground both have the same amount of cover this being a stone fence. There are no other weapons or grenades being used just pure rifles soldiers on soldiers. Who would win and why?
  9. I wonder what speed you would have to be going for gyros to be effective?
  10. Another talks about tactics https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iMTjcU-kmNM&feature=youtu.be
  11. Here ya go if you like Shermans. Really neat video.
  12. sitting ducks for air attacks, many broke down in Italy sherman can outrun the turret at close range easily it was so slow. Open field is where it was deadly.
  13. Could have been Italians motorcycle helmets as well. Interesting Idea to transfer it to a tank crew. The US had football helmets and France I believe had horseback helmets?
  14. What's the story on the Italian tankers helmets? How did they come about? Are they leather and why the flap?
  15. ^ airbursts would work in town areas or over trenches or low lying areas. How difficult would it be for the soldier to achieve this with appropriate training? Arc follows tip of barrle bring it in and fire for closer enemy and move barrel away for distant, although I don't think this weapon was for distance just a high angle of fire weapon.
  16. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0u3IHwIMYmE\ 17:20 talks about them the airburst kind can be used like a mortar as well as the impact type. The time fuse requires good timing skill on the soldiers behalf to ahchieve the burst
  17. I am thinking about buying this game, do you guys have any sales? I noticed the US use the AT rifle grenade called the M9A1, which just doesn;t have to be used against armor and works against sandbags or houses. I noticed these other rifles greanades are not in the game whilst playing the demo anyways In ww2 the US had a regular grenade which could be shot be either the m1 carbine or garand -1st one is impact fuse -2nd one is time fuse airburst above ground These cannot be used against armor.. More for troops and light areas. why are they missing? Will you add them?
