  1. It says playable from both sides, but certainly not winnable from both sides. Ok you admit it is fictional. There is an awful lot happening for the time limit to be less than 1 and a half hours. It almost like shift select all the units and click past the tracks with no tactical planning expected involved. I don't know if this was better before the update or something in that update broke the scenario. On my 15th try as allies making it past the railroad track even a few feet proves impossible. The British leaders in this battle are almost all in the negative numbers while axis yet again +2 veteran. If not veteran they are all +2 as regular. The sherman IIs are terrible the dust takes over 15 seconds to disappear (recent patch problem?), and by the time the greenhorn British shermans spot a mark iv, it already has a shell on its way down range, toward that sherman. Here is the ending of the first time I played as Axis. Extremely off balanced and can really only be won by the axis side. They have the high ground advantage, terrain advantage, cover advantage, leadership and experience advantages.
  2. Absolutely a terrible scenario design.
  3. your post was pointless, there is only one for optics..
  4. New suggestion: In weapons damage area optics is too broad, I guess this is the main guns scope? There should be one for vision windows and parascopes if hit and damaged, internal spotting should have spotting reduction if damaged. Maybe call it 'view'.
  5. If that's the case. Might as well put a radio on all their kits then.
  6. He was the only surviving crew of a knocked out HQ armored car with no one near him with a radio that is alive for a about 1 mile over a hill away and no radio on his gear, the ability to call and then adjust fire from a mortar is very unrealistic.
  7. I call BS on your landline idea. Let's just call it what it is, a MAJOR BUG.
  8. It could be a specialist machine gun team, you can choose specialist teams for quick battles if you have mix selected and sometimes battles already have them set in.
  9. someone has to have noticed it... It's a large bug.
  10. On possibly why gun crew and spg had paratroop helmets : from wikipedia After mid-1944, Fallschirmjäger were no longer trained as paratroops due to Nazi Germany's deteriorating strategic situation and fought as infantrymen. This probably included tankers and the Fallschirmjäger just filled in gaps.
  11. Bailed german HQ armored car crewman calling in mortar strikes without radio. He has a headset but I doubt that counts as a radio. I double checked his gear just binoculars and his armored car is far away from him destroyed.
  12. grapevine / stone wall bug - Seems you get teleported a few feet away if you go through a grapevine wrong or near an odd stone wall.
  13. Oh come on guys it just hit the tire, crew should be fine!
  14. minor bug wooden bunker is listed for kills for a unit at end of game but concrete bunker is just labeled as a bunker
  15. The guys (both gunners) feet and legs hang way out of the bottom of the m2 halftrack. Even standing the front gunners feet are seen via sides. this bug was probably already posted.
  16. As the poster above me said, I have used the target line to target other light armored cars with the half track .30cal. It is powerful enough to go through some axis armored cars and hts, if not it makes them retreat. Don't forget you can also use the target line for indirect fire while moving. I make a slow forward then back reverse to starting point using my half tracks, every time you press open up the gunner will fire at that spot, if not he will stay hidden. The halftrack can withstand rifle/ mg42/34 fire from the front as there is enough armor there, just don't turn and expose rear or sides.
  17. Time table on when beginning of Barbarossa units/weapons/vehicles will be made? Since I don't own red thunder which has the years of 1944-1945, I am guessing the newer would have TO&E of 1941-1943. I also highly recommend watching the documentary Soviet Storm. WW2 in the East
  18. For battles and campaigns a way to determine if you beat it or not a check mark or dot and for which side. I had a tough time and used notepad to keep track of different ones I had played and beat versus the ones I needed to beat. So some mark showing this would help make it more distinguishable Also there is something messed up when you want to select multiple units an old unit is still highlighted and you have to click off the unit so you can then select another.
  19. Guys, do you ever notice in some battles all your troops do is cower or run away and you spend the WHOLE clock time moving them back into the house or pushing delete to cancel the withdraw for the ENTIRE GAME? So guys the scale goes: typical elite crack veteran regular green conscript The green and conscript just cower and take pop shots or run into line of fire. These are way below human mindsets, I believe the game would be WAY better played if the scale via game designer shifts these closer up the scale to regular! Green and conscript are almost like drunks or animals running around (chickens) and no where near any human common sense even on that level.
  20. Yeah i didn't think the mortar with leave a HEAT hole like that. 2 crew got out. The jeeps were high on the hill. It was also hit by a chafee tank. Then the chafee was taken out by a stummel. Maybe a case of mis credited kill? It happened in ww2, especially with the planes.
  21. I see that a Jagdpanzer IV was taken out by a 60mm mortar team(credited), here are the screens. Round hit flat on top of turret, but this could be 50cal bullet hole since jeeps were shooting at it as well, what do you think?
