  1. hmmm.. seems you would all just sit with your tail between you legs or run back to friendly lines...
  2. You have no tank or smoke support. If pined down by enemy mg far away, would you rather have troops crawl into a house avoiding all casualties and go through their exhaustion time (5 min or more!) or move them fast across the field into the house risking the men to the mg fire, but not being exhausted when they get there?
  3. Which do you prefer. For me small to medium scenarios are best because if the battle gets huge and stuff gets hot, I have a delayed time panning miles over to the other side of the map to prevent a breakthrough. I know I can ctrl-click the area to get there faster but I can't manage the battle without constant pauses if it's a huge map. I would rather just control a medium force breaking into or defending a smaller area. Casualties rise and vehicles become destroyed if i can't manage the area. Lag, I also have a problem with the scenario if it is huge the game gets some massive frame drops but still playable.
  4. Many infantry problems I have played more than half the battles that came along with the game. The Us infantry for most of these battles have pathetic skill set. As US side most curl or flee if they come under fire. The troops seem to spend more time fleeing or laying down curling then they do with completing objectives for the battle. In many battles the axis always seem +2 and it is rare that you see a veteran or elite on the US side, most commonly a -2. Axis always see the us troops first even if they are in the 2nd story windows and they are in the street running at the house. I had 15 plus US troops in a house complete with an mg team only to be forced out by an enemy command team of 4, with mp40s. Enemy MG 42s still shoot if they come under fire, Us mgs will cower or flee. panzerfausts will fire still if they are under tank or infantry fire, yet US bazookas will curl to the ground if fired upon instantly.... I don't understand why battlefront has decided to go this route with the infantry. A veteran m4a1 76mm I had, pumped 3 rounds into a mark iv panzer and not 1 member of the crew was hit all fled. That's 3 76mm rounds all penetrating.
  5. Getting only city battles as allies on this setup, no open terrain or anything like, one right after another city battles
  6. vehicles or units getting lost or separated in storms small rivers more easy to cross now that they are frozen HE rounds don't do as much damage more duds especially from mortars (hitting soft surfaces slush deep snow etc) ice or snow buildup on tanks makes some rounds slide off or hit being ineffective ricochet fuel economy became really bad trying to wriggle out of the land many vehicles running out of fuel or just stuck waiting for a tow hard to repair damaged stuff in that weather can't see mines on the road or offroad or mines don't work right now trees are bare except evergreens easy to spot things moving in or near them
  7. ideas plus unsure if in the game but coldness hinders: tank/vehicle engines cooler and quieter possibly? triggers freeze with ice not sure if it was an issue easy to tell where enemy was and has gone with tracks in snow things rusting? sound travels slower when it's cold extreme exhaustion and mental fatigue from fighting in this cold hot water vapor can be seen a long distance away on cold clear days viewing glasses/para-scopes and binoculars = fog and frost builds up on them or snow and ice buildup. weapons freeze up, barrels get clogged with ice or snow tank hatches freeze shut possibly if sleet ? Carbon monoxide buildup in tanks, from hatches being shut?
  8. I have a feeling the reason battlefront made these sounds is just a placeholder, so you can modify them, they will probably fill them in sometime in the future with their own unique weapon sounds.
  9. Mine are above, also on the normandy screen shot forum.
  10. well fall/winter of 2017 is near where are your blitz screens?
  11. I have not found an instance where I can successfully use the rear .30cal gunner in the half track. I have tried reverse, to a hull down position but the back of the half track, where the doors are is so weak firefights do not last long. Moving the HT side ways they rarely engage targets. I think the guy back there is more for really limited rear defense if you get past enemy lines. Also I don't think he can swing his gun 180 degrees back there more like 90 degrees. Pretty pointless. I think they should have put the 50 in back and 30 in front. But I didn't design the vehicle
  12. Anything in the open is easy pickings for the planes. Stay away from plowed open fields and open roads while moving your troops or light vehicles. Look at the field manuals for WW2. https://www.ibiblio.org/hyperwar/USA/ref/FM/ * FM 5-20 Camouflage, Basic Principles * FM 5-20A Camouflage of Individuals and Infantry Weapons * FM 5-20B Camouflage of Vehicles * FM 5-20C Camouflage of Bivouacs, Command Posts, Supply Points, and Medical Installations * FM 5-20D Camouflage of Field Artillery
  13. It's not jeeps at all.. This guy is taking multiple 50 cal shots. i think it's tied to the state of the soldier or skill maybe.
  14. Looks like an invulnerability bug in panic mode for the driver.
  15. 4 wheel drive and mgs not hitting the engine or driver...
  16. That is neat, the commander can even use his eyes to scan with it half open.
  17. I found on another site and not sure if true but, that the panther's commander cupola can rotate 360 degrees giving the crew and good view around the tank a design later added to shermans.
  18. Whenever I try to sneak up on a tank more than often I get nailed by enemy infantry just trying to get to the tank.
  19. Not sure about axis but, there is something in WW2 called an offensive hand grenade could do it. It had more TNT in it compared to a regular hand grenade, and regular grunts carried them.
  20. How did you find this out?! That is going to be a lot safer from small arms when radioing strikes. Do they need to be unbuttoned to radio it in?
  21. I think you should be able to acquire other items demo charges, rain gear, tarps, flashlights, binoculars, mortars, mortar rounds, radios, rifle grenades, tripods, regular grenades, smoke grenades, maps, pistols, spigots, illumination flares, carbines, pistols, garands, mines. Maybe have other vehicles able to carry other items as well.
  22. Preferably before the battle starts, let's say you want a crew of an m20 to have a bazooka, un mount a half track then un mount the m20. Mount the half track with the crew of the m20 and use the s button then acquire button to get a bazooka with rockets. un mount them from the half track and put them back in the m20. I think you can even give anyone from tankers to jeep crews a bazooka. You can have tankers acquire extra ammo such as carbine, mg, .50cal and rifle rounds if you fear running out during the game. You can do the same thing with a truck in the game only it won't have bazooka or rockets, instead .45 ammo. You can un mount the crews to deal with armor, the bazooka and ammo will always be acquired by other troops if your original team goes down with it to deal with armor on the map when you don't have the firepower left.
  23. wow that is a long day! Anyone know if the stars are accurate thought I saw some of the dippers also.
