I had marksman training on the M-14 i quite liked the trigger on it (not that i have much to compare it with though). Getting the bolt to go back to it's place when field stripping it was a fun minigame as well...

I guess for any army of this size getting marginally better performance for a much higher price tag simply isn't worth it, as i recall that is reason why the FN SCAR was rejected by SOCOM. Unless something revolutionary happens in small arms design i assume this might go on quite a bit.

A look at the new US soldiers in Black Sea

That is indeed a metal detector desgined to find buried command wires used to detonate IEDs. Had a bit of training on that at one point... -
CM Black Sea - Beta Battle Report - US/UKR Side
kuri replied to pnzrldr's topic in Combat Mission Black Sea
A little googling and picture matching suggests the suppressed rifle might be a Remington MSR (Mk 21). Sadly game overview page does not specify the which sniper rifles are depicted in game on the US side except for the M 110 and M 107. -

All pictures fine here on 1920x1080 resolution. Great read pnzrldr, looking forward to the next one! -
Here we go again...

I like the RT clips on youtube where their news presenters publicly refuse to present stories they've been fed and quit. Also found that ARES document pretty interesting. Lots of T-72 in them military surplus stores...
-
This game really needs a sticky thread that includes the correct update sequence...

I hope BMDs will come with tank riders, would love to see the 2S25 in action as well

I'd say the more the merrier, won't shun any NATO countries, though Poland seems like the most likely candidate to be added given that they are militarily the strongest alliance member in the region and right next door to Ukraine.

I'm sure they don't broadcast BBC in Soviet Union, where ever that is nowadays... Given that the conflict depicted in Black Sea takes place in 2017, without current events ever taking place, i'm sure they would have sold their stocks of servicable T-72 by then (as i understand they were actively selling them before the conflict) and scrapped the rest/or left to rot. So i won't cry if they don't have any.

After Black Sea I will be at a loss for Battlefront's next step

I thought that meant version 3.0 of the CMx2 engine. -

Fulda Gap would be very interesting indeed. -
Maybe NRF as a module and all the multinational goodness it involves?

Lawyers don't get that much of a say in conventional warfare.

Especially with the defence budget cuts, such as the Dutch selling all of their tanks etc.

that is the M1200 Armored Knight

Probably advisors/liasion embedded with Ukranian troops.

Awesome! Would love to preorder but i had to pay huge shipment fees for RT physical copy last time, i really wish there was a download only pre order.
-
I play it from time to time, i really like the campaign mode. Looking forward to Mius front.

It should penetrate unless it is a BMP-3 or maybe the target was angled so that the bullets would ricochet off?
-
As far as ordering goes, i hope there will be a download only preorder for the next game, got huge shipment fees for my RT preorder (US to EU).

T-90MS "Tagil" manufacturer's stellar vid
kuri replied to John Kettler's topic in Combat Mission Shock Force 1
I wonder if this tank will be for export only? Supposedly the are going to show the new Armata platform to the public during next year's victory day parade. -
Wonder where the rebels got that T-72 from when the Ukrainians are using T-64 exclusively (rethorical question btw). Also amusing how the rebels claim to have plenty of disposable RPGs, guess the local gun stores had a huge surplus.
