I would say that the early setbacks in North Africa against a British force that they ought to have been overrun must have left a lasting impression on many Italian soldiers as to the state of their equipment (basically being outdated, due to Italy's early rearmament and their industrial and design inefficiency) and woefully inadequate leadership.

I have downloaded and installed the newest patch, but I haven't had a lot of time to play. I'll have time to do some proper testing in the Christmas holidays and report back if things are better with the new patch. Improving fire support options would be nice as well

I would like to see a weapons toggle system, like the one in the Wargame series, so that you can choose which weapon to use in a given situation. This would be a way to improve the game's current problems with units not using the correct weapon in a given situation (like BMPs using autocannons against MBTs rather than their ATGM). Fire would be awesome. Currently the game does not do justice to the power of the RPO.

Well, the M107 is actually not a sniper rifle, it is an anti-material rifle. Also its semi-automatic action means that it is quite a bit less accurate than a dedicated bolt-action sniper rifle. This might explain the lack of accuracy, even for an Elite team.

As you very well know there is little correlation between what politicians say they are going to do when in office, and what they actually do when in office. Obama is the perfect example of this. Possibly the worst president in US history. So you would rather have crooked lying Hillary for you president? A woman who has made hundreds of millions of dollars doing favours for foreign powers while in office as Secretary of State, and who has leaked hundreds of classified e-mails due to 'negligence'. No matter how bad Trump would be, he could only be better than Hillary. She will sell out the American people just like Obama - a man who has done very little, yet promised to do a lot and has taken credit for a lot (I still crackle up when I read that he received the Nobel Peace Prize, thanks to him the Middle East is more FUBAR than ever.).

Trump is not going to abolish NATO. What he has said is that he wants the members of NATO to pitch in a lot more than they are now - in terms of spending and responsibility/capability. He has rightly pointed out that the US does a more lot of NATO's heavy lifting than they used to during the Cold War Era. I believe that his rhetoric should be seen as an intent to pressure NATO members to do their part to free up US forces to focus elsewhere.

I can't help but think that NATO's encroachment into Eastern Europe played a big part in driving Russia towards a more aggressive posture and it's decision to intervene in Ukraine. Ukraine literally means 'borderland' and that is the role it has played historically, separating the western powers from Russia. Ukraine's leaning to the West, and the sudden and tumultuous fall of the elected pro-Russian government must have made Putin sweat, and perhaps jump the gun. It is equally important to understand how important Sevastopol is to Russia's national security being its only warm water port. Losing Sevastopol would be like losing the Pacific islands for the US.

Indeed. Would absolutely love to see the Armata series in the game. Also, it would be nice to see the VDV equipped with small arms like the AK-12 or A-545 for flavour.
