  1. hahaha! @vencini The colour of the setup phase made me suspect that the snow lightens the setup colour. In non-snow settings I think it looks like it always did, unless I misremember.
  2. So this is just a question and not in any way meant as criticism - are these camo patterns based in any way on real ones from the Eastern Front?
  3. Well done, Bil; A kill that didn't cost you much. It's a pity to have to pull back already, but that is an important thing to develop: a sense when it's time to not overstay one's welcome. It can be a fine balance that is easy to misjudge.
  4. Don't you love how the muzzle brake shows in the circle of the "O"?
  5. If he stood still while being shelled by either side, he's not the guy you want leading. You're just clearing out the deadwood. Trust me, I did the same.
  6. Speaking of buying stuff - did you look at the Bulge comic I recommended by Wayne Vansant for the Kindle? Some nail biting stuff ahead, folks. Good and bad. But we are already past half way in this 30 minute battle...dare I hope I can hold onto Liefrange?
  7. Europe is gorgeous. Try La Roche-en-Ardenne, another US tank there along the river I stumbled upon while travelling; there is a King Tiger in La Gleize. It's unfortunate the more exotic stuff is only seen in a museum.
  8. Reading CM stuff like Bil's Battle Drill blog, or AARs, or the various excellent threads on how things work, is a much healthier way to spend one's day at work. Not getting paid for it keeps it a hobby. If I was getting paid to make these comics, there would be pressure, instructions on what to show, schedules, deadlines....ugh. No, much as it would be fun to monetize it I'm quite happy I don't have that anvil dangling over my head.
  9. Well...this is a comic, so I'm taking a real CM battle that is not staged, and wrapping a story around how it is turning out. So I can give medals and so on to my heart's content. But the game does not do that, no.
  10. Impact is there too, but I think less so as the war goes on. Their presence appears proportional to historical/doctrinal usage.
