  1. I had a crack Stug hit an Achilles with 5 full penetrations at point blank range and the Achilles then KO'd the Stug...maybe some passed right through?
  2. Brits are a blast, yes Typhoons and PIATs from buildings!
  3. Wonderful thread great reading, thanks to all contributors
  4. Seems to be mostly a useful and revealing test on the AI aside from anything else.
  5. Hmm, I think you're right, I seem to recall downloading some building mod at some point but must have been something else
  6. Getting a bit tired of tank crews with pistols routing entire squads...after being ambushed...and in no cover...
  7. Mine is very close to that, using all the lastest mods and especially the HD terrain mods by Aris, and Tanks a Lot buildings, also running 32xAA and 16xAniso. The HD mods and new buildings make it a new game, visually. I'd suggest going through the BFC Repository or GreenAsJade's site and downloading as much as you can. The game can look, and sound, stunning. I have about 3GB of mods installed so far.
  8. I played Rise of Flight WW1 flight sim with a bit of Mr Charles last night. It was great! I became super-aggressive and confident and my kill rate went way up.
  9. Sure worked in WW1... Definitely agree about the low hedgerows!
  10. I use a 55" Samsung HDTV, and the latest LED versions do some pretty interesting image processing that gives 2D pictures a very nice depth that is almost 3D-like.
  11. I just received a max-spec M18x (processor overclocked to 4GHz, 2xGTX580m vid cards in SLI (OK SLI doesn't seem to really do much in CMBN), 16GB RAM, 2x256GB SSD). I can say right now that, to my surprise, CMBN with a large scenario (on max video specs) is more demanding than pretty much any other game using the same video options, including latest-gen flight sims such as IL2 CoD and Rise of Flight (SLI doesn't do much for them either). It certainly seems to chew on the CPU very hard.
  12. Your best bet is to do some research on tactics in the real world. Typically they translate into the game well.
