  1. Thank you very much! Wonderful to see the campaign „alive“ Unfortunately, the last mission seems to be a little bit unsatisfactory.
  2. If I had known the reaction, I wouldn‘t have asked for these units So calm down everybody, please. If I remember correctly there have been Police-Units available in the good old CMBB. So, it has been a normal and unspectacular question and not any obsession - because the campaign, I am working on, will actually includ parts of such units...because these units did fight at the Frontlinie during this period and because the campaign should be historically correct. No more, no less. I apologize for feeding Trolls. This forum should never be used for any political discussion.
  3. @ Kraut: Sorry, I don‘t like any political discussion considering the fact, that we are playing a PC-Game. If you prefer this moral point of view, you should not buy any game including WW II. And if your historical horizon is based on Wikipedia, your intention should be to read more serious books. And for your historical Information: In July 1944, parts of the KG von Gottberg and parts of KG Hannibal (consisting of Police- and SS-Police Units) were forced to defend the German Frontlines in the Belorussian Region against the Red Army. These units had only partizipated in the (so called) Partisan War before and suffered high casualties due to their poor equipement, training and skill-level.
  4. Persistent question : will SS-(Police) Units be included? I am asking because of my campaign project.
  5. A question about the units: will German (SS)-Police-Units be included?
  6. Thanks for the Info. Is there any more modul planned? Or do you mean some kind of extension for CMFR (like a battlepack, vehiclepack etc.)?
  7. May be, this question was asked before: will we see Romanian and Hungarian Soldiers?
  8. Some more impressions of working progress.
  9. I hope, you won't be disappointed. In 2011, the Bloody Ride Campaign was (if I remember correctly) the second user made campaign. Much bocage and only limited capabilities to create AI plans. I am not sure, if it is still playable with the current CM-Version. But some of the maps were quite nice...self praised
  10. @Boche: I made three campaigns: A Bloody Ride - CMBN 2011 - 7 to 8 battles with Panzerlehr-Division Welcome to Sicily - CMFI 2013 or 2014 - 3 battles with allied Troops in July 43 Zawiya Uprising - CMSF I 2014 - 8 battles, Red vs Red These are available in the repository. I have never made much Promotion for my work. And from 2014 to 2020, children, work and Real Life stopped any ambition to create more content.
  11. @dragonwynn: Where can I download your campaign? Is ist in the repository?
  12. I have created 3 campaigns from 2011 to 2014, but this is the hugest one. It is a beast. And making Master-Maps sometimes is a feeling like working in the hell There are Four Maps of around 2 x 2 km, one Map of around 650 x 650m and at the moment, I am struggeling with a map of 3 x 1,8 km And still two more maps waiting...
  13. 8 Master-Maps, 11 Battles...enough action with Totenkopf
  14. Some impressions of the working progress. South bank of Njemen River in the town of Grodno.
  15. If not said before, Panzer-Lehr-Division (with attached Funklenk-Kompanie 316) used some of the earliest Tiger II (I think, 5 or 6 tanks of this type). These Tigers all had the „Porsche“-Turret. Most of them were abandoned in the Paris-Area due to mechanical defeat while retreating from the Allies in August 44. None of these Panzer-Lehr Tigers ever fired any shot at the enemy. Regards
  16. Wood is ok, many interesting pictures and some detailed info, but interestingly Wood‘s story partly contradicts the story, Schneider is telling. Not sure, who is wrong...Schneider has more Knowledge of German Language, Wood seems a little bit more precise...optimal for scenario-designing The best divisional histories of Heeres Units I have, are these: 1. 4.Panzer-Division 2. 129. Infantry Division 3. 5. Jäger-Division 4. 3. Panzergrenadier-Division Regards Frank
  17. Yes, Aragorn, Schneider also belongs to my mini-library. Also Michael Wood's book about the 3rd SS Tigers. My main source consists of: Vopersal I - Vb Schneider and Wood specifically for the Tigers History of SS Pio-Battalion History of 4th / SS-Art.Reg.3 History of 1st Cp/SS-Panzer-Regiment 3 Hinze, Collapse of Army Group Centre 1944 M.Yerger's books about the personal of the Division History of the "Panther"-Abteilung of 3rd SS There are more interesting books, especially personal biographics of former Totenkopf-Members and the superb book series about the SS-Totenkopf-Standarten 1933-39 by M.van Dijken. With the help of these sources, I try to make the campaign halfway historical correct, but priority should be the playability. Regards Frank
  18. @Aragorn: Nash‘s book is indeed very good - have bought it two weeks ago - but I think, its story starts at the end of July 1944 with the fighting around Siedlce. Because of my grandfathers I own almost every book about „SS Totenkopf“, from the beginning to the end. The best material to use for CM is the impressive huge work of Vopersal. Regards Frank
  19. @ danfrodo: Our almost dead friend ist only at the age of 20
  20. I wouldn‘t agree, their heart is not on CM2 anymore... They released SF II, CMFB, CMRV...such a huge amount of work (especially Rome to Victory) one doesn‘t invest for a „dead patient“...
  21. After about 6 years without CM (real Life, Children, work etc.) my motivation seems to be reborn So, the idea of this campaign is indeed resuscitated. No promises about the date of release...but there‘s some time left until the new Modul is out...
  22. I made this campaign long long ago...I think, it was one of the first user made ones... Not sure, if it is still playable Regards Mr.X
  23. Never finished this one no Waffen-SS Module...no Time... may be, I start again making campaigns during november... Regards Frank
