  1. At this time, 1943, Uncle Göring was a morphinist it is reported, that he sometimes used to sleep, while sitting in the middle of the daily "Führer"Conference....may be, a reason for Kesselrings insubordination
  2. Ok, this is an argument But for example, JJ sells (what I know so far) only two book about the 3rd SS. One of them, "Like a cliff in the ocean" is sketchy and not worth the price. The other one about the Tigers of the 3rd SS is not much better, if one is interested in the history of the division....
  3. @Aragorn: Unfortunately, I am not at home at the moment, so I can´t search the parts, where "HG" is reported to for its leck of experience (means Eastfront-experience)... But may be, I´ll start to write an English Book, including the history of the 3rd SS...I am only not shure yet, if such a book would find many readers.... regards Frank
  4. The Fallschirm-Panzer-Division "HG" was equipped like any other Panzer-Division of the Heer, on average. During the Italian Campaign, it was one of the strongest divisions of Kesselring´s Heeresgruppe. When the division was transfered to the Eastfront during the summer of 1944, it became obviously, that most of its men weren´t trained enough to fight successfully against the Red Army. I got reports of the 3.SS-Panzer-Division "Totenkopf", fighting in the same sector around the town of Siedlce, in which "HG" is critizised for its very unexperienced units, which suffer high casualties. Regards Frank
  5. Thanks very much for your report Agusto! I am very sorry to tell you, that you are invited to the nice city of Den Haag, where some members of the war crimes tribunal want to get an "interview" with you the smiling old dictator
  6. Hey Erwin, have bought CMGL, too. I am not a big fan of the Italian Front but I like it very much. So, until the first Eastfront-CM is out, I will try to create a GL-Campaign. Regards Frank
  7. Hey Erwin, have you recaptured the City of Zawiya yet?
  8. Hi Erwin, I think, the problem is not to have so many CM variants but all the patches. Normally, I hate games, where players are forced to install one patch after the other - especially, when playabilty becomes worse. I will wait for the release of the Eastfront-CM, till I may try to create some new campaigns. Regards Frank
  9. Without any look at the political part of the film, I can say, from military point of view - this series is ****! If the German soldiers of WWII had fought this way, Germany would have been forced to surrender on September 2nd 1939 Regards Frank
  10. Any new end results ? I am very interested in... Regards Frank
  11. I personally would pay 20$ for a good campaign pack, too. And any designer could be working as a kind of free-lancer. He would create a campaign and offer the result to Battlefront. They would take a look at it and say "Yes - it´s worth to be sold" or "No - try again, the quality isn´t good enough" (and in this case, the designer could decide, if he wants to give his work for free to the repository or if he wants to delete it). This way, I am sure, we would see much more high quality campaigns, because there would be more motivation for talented designers to spend sooooo much time for CM.
  12. The problem of making really good scenarios/campaigns for CMx2 is the time, one has to invest. A CMx1 scenario, one could create in 5-6 hours - a campaign for CMx2 needs 3-4 month, if one really works hard. And the more modules (Eastfront for example) are coming, the more it will become difficult, to create such campaigns, because until now, there are only maximum 12-15 designers who are doing this. So may be, if I should win the 25 000 000 Euro of the German Jackpot this weekend, there will be some more campaigns Regards Frank
  13. Some months ago, I have written an e-mail to battlefront and offered them the idea of some kind of "professional" scenario-/campaign designers (including myself ) but I didn´t even get an answer. Probably, they thought I would be crazy For making a campaign, you need time..., very much time, dozens of hours. And most of us do not have enough time because of their real life (and because of their wifes ). Regards Frank
  14. I am sorry Erwin, I did not want to be indiscreet - there are better ways to get free time than to have such a heavy accident. I have worked as a traumatic surgeon for the last years, so I know nearly what you are talking about. All the more, it is a pleasure to me, if you like my few CM campaigns/scenarios Regards Frank
  15. Some allied offensive operations during autumn/winter 1943/44 ended because of heavy weather with deep snow. I have read reports of the US, in which the commanders are in a worry because of the coldness and casualties caused by frozen feet and hands. Regards Frank
  16. @Agusto: It seems, as if you will bring the uprising to an end But the resistance isn´t broken yet @Erwin: I hope you will enjoy the second part, too. You are a really lucky guy to have so much time for playing CM I didn´t have any time during the last months, neither to create anything nor to play any scenario Regards Frank
  17. Thanks Agusto, I am glad to hear this. I tried to leave the "main stream" with this campaign Can you tell me your final results (if you played till the end)? Regards Frank
  18. During my first battles, I thought it was my way to fight. which caused so many KIA. But actually, it is always the same with any tactics. And it is the same with CMSF. So, I think it´s a kind of bug.
  19. Hey, is there any possibility in "Achtung Panzer" to make own scenarios or campaigns linke in Combat Mission? Regards Frank
  20. Hey guys, had to work through the last weeks and couldn´t spend my time for CM. First of all, I am very glad to hear, that you have fun with this campaign. @ Schmoly war: I will try to send you the individual battles until the next week (but there are, of course, no briefings for the rebel´s side) @ Erwin: As a witness of many actions during the Libyan Conflict, I can tell you, that the only word to describe the tactics, is: CHAOS You can´t compare these military actions with for example American or British military operations. Indeed, it was only the colour of flags or clothes, who could make it possible to identify one´s affiliation. Even regular troops of the government often wore ridiculous combinations of uniforms and weapons. In many cases you could not distinguish soldiers of the Libyan Armed Forces from members of paramilitary forces. Regards Frank
  21. Great video ! It seems to be the real world. Very very realistic. Regards Frank
  22. I have just uploaded my new campaign, named "Zawiya Uprising". During 8 single battles the player commands mixed Libyan Forces during the First Battle of Zawiya in March 2011. Regards Frank
  23. Hey, I´d like to leave a short comment, too: It is absolutely unrealistic, to make a campaign with such a huge background. Like Rokko said, "Operation Luettich" was a German Offensive over several days with a large number of different units. Have you read the battle-History of the 116. Panzer-Division? Only about its units and their action during this period, you could make a campaign of 40-50 battles. So, if you want to finish such a work as a campaign for CMBN is, then choose a small company-sized unit for your work. You will see, this is much easier and you will get a better result. Otherwise, you will loose your motivation sooner or later. Regards Frank
  24. Hi Erwin, no problem - till December, you will get the whole campaign It will be finished in 2-3 weeks...
