  1. Battlefront should develope a realistic "body-damage-system" with nice graphics and audio effects to reach the highest level of a simulation.... Regards Frank
  2. Thanks sfhand everything is perfect...a little sunshine...
  3. Hi eniced73, can you send me your e-mail adress per pm - then I will send you the campaign tomorrow. Regards Frank
  4. After a long break (caused by the birth of my daughter ) I could return to my CM activities yesterday and have almost finished the mini-campaign. Before uploading it, I would be pleased to find some volunteer for the final playtesting. May be, during the long period without working on it, I have forgotten some things, which should be improved for the final version. Regards Frank
  5. Hi Nachinus, I hope to finish the campaign this week but I am not sure....I´ll send it to you as fast as possible Regards Frank
  6. After spending my time with some other important things during the last ten days, the release of the campaign will be 1-2 weeks later. And before release-date, I would need somebody, who could test the whole campaign. Anybody out there? Regards Frank
  7. Quote: "Perhaps we should all start to make scenarios and campaigns. Personally I'm experimenting with it already. Still would like to have a campaign about the 12th and 1st SS in Normandy, but also about divisions like the 116th and 21st Panzer. If only it wasn't for those damn maps...That's why I was moaning about a number of standard maps like Villers-Bocage, Hill 112 and Carpiquet Airfield for CMBN some time ago. Would make it so much easier to launch new scenarios and campaigns." I totally agree with you Aragorn. I wished to have some more of these really huge and fantastic campaigns like Montebourg, Scottish Corridor etc. BUT, it is really a massive effort to create such "monsters". I have made two campaigns, each including 8 battles and it took me hundreds of hours. At the moment, I try to finish a mini-campaign of CMFI and I am able to give it 1-2 hours per day....and it doesn´t come to an end. In my opinion (and I told this to Battlefront ) , it is the time, to hire designers and to pay them for making campaigns/scenarios (which BF could sell as extra-packs for example) - otherwise, the lack of this stuff will be bigger and bigger, the more modules are released. Regards Frank
  8. Of course not tracks of enemy vehicles had to be handled like the vehicles theirselves. One could not spot them by overlooking the map - only, when these vehicles were identified. Ok, that´s not an easy task for a graphics designer
  9. What I have never read during the discussion about new features is the aspect, that vehicles in CM (since CMBO) never have left tracks behind. I think, this would improve the graphics very much. It is the same with destroyed walls and fences, when these are over rolled by tanks.
  10. Ah, and @db zero: I got your message but have been to stupid to answer so, I would be pleased, if you would like to playtest one of the battles. Can you send me your mail-adress?
  11. @iMolestCats: Hi, did you get my mail? I´m asking, because of the fact, that some of my latest mails went to the nirvana - something seems wrong with my web-account - may be the NSA has stolen them And some news about the campaign: I am confident, release will be about the last August weekend - I am in a hurry, when MG is released, nobody will be interested in such stuff any more Regards Frank
  12. When I started playing CM about ten years ago, my tactic was indeed "Not only to the last man or the last tank, but even to the last crew-member and to the last Kuebelwagen!" Within today, I am responsible for the death of whole pixel-regiments Regards Frank
  13. @ Womble and Rokko: Thanks for the information. So, the battle for the Reich must wait...will this perhaps be part of the Bulge-Module? IMO, every module of CM is worth the money, it costs. I am lucky, that a company like Battlefront is able to survive with such a special product, so I am not interested, if they wanna have 10 or 30 Dollars for their developments...but I am interested in, how many CM-Licenses Battlefront could sell worldwide until today?
  14. I am forced to quote/repeat myself, because some guys here are fighting their own little war against each other, as it seems --- Will the MG Module only give us the September 1944 in Holland or will we be able tp play October 1944? And is this module thought to include the September/October/November battles along the German Border, like Aachen, Huertgen and Metz? Sorry, if the question is stupid but I couldn´t find information about that... Regards Frank
  15. Great News! Will the MG Module only give us the September 1944 in Holland or will we be able tp play October 1944? And is this module thought to include the September/October/November battles along the German Border, like Aachen, Huertgen and Metz? Sorry, if the question is stupid but I couldn´t find information about that By the way: During the playtesting for my GL-Campaign, there was again a problem with the old bridge-bug (armored cars of the KI were not able to be placed on bridges for example). I hope, this will change with the huge bridges in MG, otherwise it could become difficult to manage these ones for scenario-creating for example... Regards Frank
  16. @Jason C: totally agree with your statements. Normally, every small CM-Battle had to reach for 5-6 hours, instead 30-45 minutes. But who would be interested in such endless things....May be, players should get an electric shock for every casualty, they get? To learn, showing respect A very good example for the compressed action of CM is the scenario "Wittmanns Demise". I don´t want to be misunderstood - it is a great map and a fantastic designer´s work - but a Commander of any tank formation, who would have been responsible for about 30 losses within 90 minutes of fighting in a two squaremile sector - he would have been brought to the court martial even, if he belonged to the Red Army Regards Frank
  17. It took a little bit longer than expected, but the first two battles are ready for testing I will send them to you (Agusto and iMolestCats) tomorrow... Regards Frank
  18. I think to know, that HG units during the fighting of summer 1944 were critisized by several officers of the "Totenkopf" Of course, I am not sure, if these HG units really have performed the way, those TK officers reported later. But, obviously, most of the units, which arrived at the Eastfront and had fought in Italy or other western theatres before, got problems during their first weeks fighting against the RA. Regards Frank
  19. I like the idea of an "Iron man" mode - tried several times to play this way against the AI - the more forces you have to control the more difficult it will become. In my opinion, this mode would be fantastic for smaller battles with maximum platoon size and only few heavy weapons. May be, this mode could develop a complete new style of scenario-design? Regards Frank
  20. The 3 battles are named "Bark West Landing" "Meeting the Three Rivers" "Santa Maria" At the moment, I am placing the troops....so I hope, I can send you the first battle within the next 4-5 days....
  21. There will be 3 battles during the campaign...cause of this, I call it mini-campaign Unfortunately, my leck of time... Regards Frank
  22. Some news about the progress of the campaign.... The title will be "Welcome to Sicily" - action will take place on July 10th, in the southeast region of Siciliy - you will command small parts of... No.40 RM Commando 51st British (Highland) Infantry Division SAS Troops British 1st Parachute Brigade 1st Canadian Infantry Division ...during this mini-campaign. Regards Frank
  23. @Augusto and imolestcats - got your message - thanks for beging volunteers! I will send you the testing-scenarios as soon as possible - may be next weekend, if I work fast enough :-) @Jaeger jonzo - if you like, I would send you the next scenario, when it is ready for testing? Regards Frank
  24. I am very pleased to hear this, Gentlemen I will send each of you one of the scenarios for playtesting, if this is ok? Regards Frank
  25. While I am waiting for CMEF, I have started to play a little bit with the GL-Editor and have begun to create a small campaign It takes place on July 10th 1943 at the southern coast of Sicily. The player will command British and Canadian Forces, fighting against the Italian Army. 80% of the maps are finished - so, during the next 2-3 weeks, I´ll need some volunteers for testing. Regards Frank
