  1. Masters in the arts. The course sounds like a history course. From a liberal arts faculty you would get a Bachelors (BA) or Bachelors with Honours (BAh) then a Masters (MA) followed by a Doctorate (PhD). Similar for a science faculty Bsc or Bsch, Msc, PhD.
  2. Yeah but with 2.1 my work around is gone again. I realize it was for a good cause. Just a bummer that there is no longer a workaround. There are only a few things left in the game that cause me grief while playing on a regular basis. This is one of them.
  3. Post #13 Some of us have our page size turned up to the max so describing things based on pages does not work for us.
  4. Speaking of which I would like to be able to target walls, windows and doors on buildings that my tanks can see even if they cannot see the centre of the building.
  5. Sorry I totally spaced on the link. I had it on the clipboard and everything... http://www.battlefront.com/community/showthread.php?t=105660
  6. In deed more point options would be fun. But it can be done if you are playing with a trusted opponent. The first post from my 20 000 point "QB" DAR has a link to a 2km by 2km map by Pete W that is really good and instructions on how to setup a QB with arbitrary points.
  7. A comment I would add would be to me it looks like the crew do try to run away. They take about four steps and then find themselves standing over cowering Germans. After they shoot them they look like they are turning to run again. That part seems reasonable. I guess the issues is should the crew be cowering on the ground too. The thing is, don't forget the crew know that they need to put some distance between them and the burning tank. Hitting the round running seems like a good plan. And then if running meant you had to step over the enemy I think shooting them so they do not shoot you in the back 5s later is probably a reasonable idea as well. +1. The vast majority of the time I have seen crews try to run away and get chewed up. Occasionally the fight back briefly but usually not very effectively. I am talking about post uber tank crew fix here obviously. Any time I have managed to have multiple fire teams engage a tank the crew has not come out ahead. What I mean is one team assaults the tank while the other one or two cover them. In those cases tank crews have just died trying to escape and usually it is the covering teams that take them out. I think this is an outlier example where the tank assaulting team is no longer in a good state after the tank is destroyed. Therefore they are not able to defend themselves.
  8. Correct if the enemy is outside your cover arch your guys are not likely to fire at it. They might but don't count on it. I would suggest that once the element of surprise is lost just remove any covered arcs and let you guys go weapons free.
  9. I love the "Stop, stop, stop" over the radio as the pilot is blasting away. Amazing. Oh it will happen again but the next time it will be the enemy that will get away Scott free
  10. Same here. I like that the CAS can chew up the enemy's rear area. It makes it hard for them to move around too. I use area targets all the time but I make sure that my men stay way back from the area. Way way back. I have not lost any one since I ran a few training drills to see how easy it was for friendlies to be mistaken and targeted.
  11. You can tell how many rounds each mortar team actually has in their position as well as the number they have access to. With the mortar team selected the number of, in this case, 51mm HE that appear on the left hand side under the unit information is the ammo the team actually has in their position (10 HE). The number in the centre under the title Ammo is the number they have access too (in this case 13 because they have access to the three I left in the carrier). So if you separate your mortar teams far enough that they will not share they will only have access to what they carry with them and the two numbers will be the same. Notice that the ammo count on the left only has room for four entries. This can sometimes mean that an ammo type or two might not be visible. This actually happens with Commonwealth mortar teams often. In this case if they also had WP smoke rounds something would drop off the left hand list.
  12. Regarding gun elevation. I have not seen that over the top look but what I have observed is that tanks tend to keep their gun elevation steady until they need to change it to target something new. For example if a tank is on the down slope and fires at something the gun will be at its max elevation. It will then drive around with its gun that way until it needs to shoot at something else. It looks a bit odd I know. Most of the time we don't even notice. It is only at the extreme edges of up or down that we notice this behaviour. This picture does look like something is off with the way the model is setup / behaving.
  13. I thought the FO did need an working radio. But the one on the floor counts so if the FO team buddy aids the radio you are good to go or if you stay where the radio is you are also OK. Alternatively the FO can also be near or in a radio equipped vehicle.
  14. Yep, I verified it. The carrier: The team acquiring (note three soldiers with brens and a rifle): The team now has a mortar (note one of the soldiers now has a mortar):
  15. LOL you might but then instead of wish list threads we would get a combination of "are the crazy x is much more important than y" and "but the promised z in the last game". I am pretty sure that would make my eyes start to bleed
  16. Wow, I would have sworn that I did that once. Gee, memory is an odd thing... And by that I mean mine:D
  17. Target light means "fire the lessor weapons not the big gun", but your Panther now only has MGs so there is no big gun or lessor weapon. Target will do what you want.
  18. Because that work is not "free" and it takes time. Further more having two patches takes even more time. Remember by having one patch be a little after MG comes out allows BFC to fix a few things that were in the MG module as well. So once the work on MG is done BFC could release it and start making a return on their investment or they could wait while they prepare the patch and only make money after the have that patch ready. And then they would need to factor in another patch to address any issues in MG. This is what is called a no brainier. On top of which you can play your friends right now - just install another version of the game.
  19. I understand the frustration. However I doubt people would be willing to wait to pay MG while the patch for the base game is done. Plus that patch will have few fixes for things found after MG went out. That means that under your plan there would have to be more patches. But there is a solution you can do now: In stall CMBN + CW + 2.0 your self. Do it in a separate directory. Now you can play your friend and you no longer care how long the patch takes. Granted this time around the DRM bug that forces you to reactivate MG each time after you play the 2.0 install is a bit of a drag. I have taken to launch the game via the activate link with the key copied to the clipboard.
  20. November scenario of the month is starting over at the blitz: CMBN: MG: Devils Hill CMFI: Clearing the Niscemi Highway Forum post for signing up Again all are welcome.
  21. That sounds interesting. I have not heard of that before - entering research mode. Are you happy with the disk arrangement?
  22. Interesting, thanks for the heads up. Can other teams acquire the mortar? By that I mean can other teams that never had a mortar still acquire the mortar from the carrier?
  23. Yes, the call time for air support along with the high chance of hitting your own forces even outside the target area mean that you need to setup the area as far away as possible from your troops. I usually use air support to harass the enemy's rear area and setup a delayed call during the setup phase. Once in a large and long scenario I actually had an FO make the call but I got him to the highest ground I could and still kept the call area as far away as possible from my troops.
