  1. From the sounds of it they have the first eastern front game, the new modern game plus the refresh of the first modern game, the 3.0 upgrade plus a pack for CMBN. Not to mention a few patches along the way. I think that will chew up 2014 pretty easily.
  2. Looks done to me. What's left :-) Thank you Morda Claus
  3. Oh, yes please. +1 to both a new larger point setting for QB and a display of unit points purchased in the scenario editor.
  4. Indeed. The addition of the map overlay for example took scenario creation from no way to possible for me. Not that I have done much but I do have another one on the go. Yes, that would be nice. Copy and past across maps of map elements, units and even plans. I am not so sure about this. If the have a stable of people creating scenarios and campaigns for them that can keep up the pace of game and module creation then they are good to go. So far I do not see the scenario content for their published titles lagging behind.
  5. I know of no actual behaviour differences when both games are patched to their fullest. Which is 2.12 for CMBN and 1.12 for CMFI.
  6. Sounds like a tech support question. My guess is that since MG needs 2.0 then yes install on top of your 2.0. However my understanding is that if you already added the 2.12 patch you would have to redo it and if you have not you should patch after installing MG as well. So, summary install MG then (re)install the 2.12 patch.
  7. Upon what do you base that conclusion? I am curious. I see no reason to assume such a thing. I am not sure exactly what your point here is but remember that many maps we play on are not big enough for the long range capabilities of AT guns to shine. Not to mention that the terrain has lots of LOS obstructions so many maps do not have a location that could dominate the entire map.
  8. Oh, that would be so nice. When ever that happens I always think "wouldn't the tank commander tell the drive to stop so the gunner can get the shot before continuing". Actually I usually yell at the driver to stop
  9. I have seen this as well. I chalked it up to the fact that it was in an upgraded game and ignored it after that. I have a new game starting that is a fresh 2.12 game - I will keep my eyes open.
  10. Oh that would be so nice - I trip my self up several times a week with that edge sensitivity. Google's site keyword has been very helpful in finding things in the forums. Just type "site:battlefront.com" followed by what you want to search for in the search box. For example to find out what has bee posted about armour cover arcs: https://www.google.ca/search?q=site%3Abattlefront.com+cover+armor+arc
  11. Oh, I actually really like these! They look awesome. Question for you: just what are the available portraits to mod? Is the total number of portraits in game branch of service times nationality? I realize that you are working on variations for divisions but that requires swapping mods in and out to change them. I was wondering about what the game provides.
  12. I see your number 2 is not getting any love... Because they do is the answer (and there have been requests for changes so it might happen). What you can do about it is split the squads and give them separate move orders running parallel. Also the longer the move order the longer they spend lined up because when they start they are spread out in the action square (AS) and then they get up and start moving the begin to line up. If you give them move orders that are two or three AS's apart they will separate at each way point and therefore spend more time spread out overall.
  13. If he downloaded it from BFC's site or a site they recommend he has nothing to fear no matter what "sky is falling" message his anti virus software shows. If he downloaded it form some where else - well don't do that. Anti virus software is really paranoid - which is usually a good thing. But same as in real life if you trust the source - just trust the source.
  14. Gustav Line is an excellent module that adds a lot of good things to the game. As for mods I like to get all of Aris's work but I personally like the terrain and vegetation as is. The only mods I think of as indispensable are Vin's animated text (for CMBN, for CMFI) and a mod that changes the thing that looks like a compass but isn't into something that clearly shows what direction the camera is looking (sorry can't find the lnk). Juju's UI enhancements are also very very good but he does not have a version for CMFI
  15. Correct. The assumption is that you would need different AI plans for each of the battle types.
  16. It was not meant to be unkind. It was meant for a laugh - hopefully Jason can laugh too. I know I laugh at my self when I do that kind of thing. It certainly applies to many of us. My point simply is that when any one of us decides to right all the wrongs we have a big job on our hands. And we should all have a laugh at ourselves from time to time. Now just wait I'll discover that you were joking too...
  17. I like how you are describing the effect of the comm friction - very interesting. Thanks for the explanations. Sorry to see "you" got hit early on, bummer. So, I take it one of you guys created the German AI plans this time.
  18. Now that sounds interesting. Are you saying you have a system that can simulate the plasticity of the round and the armour to determine the final ricochet path (if there is one)? It has been a long time since I did any finite element analysis and then it was all fluid dynamics, so deforming mesh.
  19. A single vehicle added to a platoon is part of the platoon just like any of the ones that started out there. Yeah, that is not possible. The way BFC have created the editor is start with a canned formation and modify. If you add single vehicles to a platoon then double clicking a member of that platoon will highlight them all. If you add them to the company then it will work for the company HQ.
  20. Running circles around the AT weapon - that would be interesting! Good idea. BTW @poesel71 testing samples with around 30 shots might not be quite enough to decide which is more accurate.
  21. I like that oval cut out of the hit tank. What are you using to create that black and white border on it?
