  1. Yes. Latest example is that I had dismounted my guys out of a halftrack so they could use the PIAT, soon an AI King Tiger trundled down the road and fired 2 rounds into the empty, dismounted halftrack until it caught fire.
  2. Select a crew and give them a movement order into the AFV in question...If it's still usable, they'll hop back in...
  3. Alrighty, if you delete the music folder you will get the vanilla music clips playing again...My farfetched theory is that since you're apparently on a Mac, the music clips might be in some format that the Mac version of CMBN doesn't support...
  4. You need to have a "Sounds" folder in your "Z" folder that contains the mod files...Also the "Music CMBN" folder should be renamed to just "Music" EDIT: I've been using 2.0 of this mod and I notice a lot of sounds have changed in 3.0! I need to adjust to this changed soundscape!
  5. Hhmm, I'm not sure since I'm not using those music clips, only the sound effects in the mod. I think for it to work it should look like: YourCMBNFolder/Data/Z/Sounds/Music/ My guess is that you need to have the music folder you want in Z/Sounds and named only as "Music" without the CMBN or CMFI after. EDIT: I tried installing like I guessed it should go and it's working...Well, atleast the bagpipes in the menu are working, aaarrggraahhgg aaaaaarrrrr that drone in the background is like a drill only it's a hammer and it's both drilling and hammering at the same time asdfasfsfdafdsf
  6. There's a lot of really weird pictures to be found on the internet, but a Stielgranate 42 attached to the barrel of a Pak38 sure isn't one of them. It's easier to find pictures of naked midget luchadores wrestling on the hood of a Schwerer Ladungsträger.
  7. Extra points for Zardoz. I was rewatching it not long ago, funny to bump into it in this context.
  8. I have went through a lot of different sound mods but I've currently settled on Oddball_E8's mod. It has oompf in the ratatatata and blaka blat blat department but the most important thing is that it is easy to discern between different weapons systems. It's also Swedish so it's trendy, chic and vogue. http://cmmods.greenasjade.net/mods/5016/details
  9. I wonder how long Emrys will keep playing the censored version of CMBN before he realizes he is missing out.
  10. A bit more digging up reminded me why I felt a bit funny, all my earlier spigot memories got blended into the very recent 37mm gun usage which is a new addition in MG. There was also a Stielgranate 42 for the 50mm PAK and it was a bit more obscure than the 37mm one. It's working as intended, they're wee bit inaccurate rounds but when they land it's lights out. (in my first test with the 37mm ATG I took out 3 Churchills with a single gun, all with Stielgranate 41 rounds. Not so much knocking on the door but instead bringing the entire wall down)
  11. Atleast for the 37mm it is not a bug, it is a 150mm spigot HEAT round (the warhead is outside of the barrel) I have taken out a lot of tanks with those rounds. Not sure about the 50mm PAK having spigot rounds, that is news to me and I'm unsure if they existed. Need to do some googling. (apparently they've been in since vanilla CMBN since the manual picture shows 150mm HEAT rounds for it) EDIT: (Quick googling resulted in no hits about a stielgranate for the Pak38 and I don't see anything resembling it in ammo charts. Paging resident grognards) EDIT: Nevermind the 4am brain malfunction, I completely forgot about the Stielgranate 42 in addition to the 41. Working as intended.
  12. If it's a scenario, usually any extra handicaps aren't necessary... If it's a QB, the fresher the map the more refined AI setup zones and plans usually are...I got burned many times in the vanilla CMBN QB maps but since I've been mostly playing on CW QB maps or MG maps and they seem have less "AI clustered into a single action spot in the far corner" type of setups... I also buy the AI Crack or Elite troops with high motivation to make it more challenging... (maintaining FoW is troublesome but you can buy troops for the AI while drunk or high or concussed or whatever a night before)
  13. Inspired by recent events in this thread, I decided to check if AT weapons could be fired from Jeeps in 2.10. (I've tried it in earlier versions and it didn't work) I couldn't get them to fire from Jeeps, Carriers or Halftracks but did it look glorious seeing a swarm of Jeeps full of PIAT teams circle around Kingtigers like hungry vultures. It would have been even more glorious had those panzers turned into smoking wrecks, alas... Nevertheless the men would have made Ken proud.
  14. That's a bit strange, bridges are working fine for me. Apparently it might be graphics card related. If you can post system specs, that will help the people in the know to diagnose this better.
  15. There's a wide spectrum of different effects...Occasionally an entire squad will flee from the building when a Shreck goes off...Sometimes there's no noticeable effect especially from Fausts or Zooks, often there's suppression and it's not at all uncommon to see injuries from the backblast, especially in confined spaces.
  16. There's two campaigns, "The Road to Nijmegen" and "A Moment in Time" Neither these MG campaigns or the CW campaigns have prefixes, but you can see that they require a module when you select them. The module icons in the bottom left corner should be lighting up.
  17. I don't think many people here would enjoy playing the game H2H if everyone started doing all the tricks possible with that bug. I'm not saying the slight LOS adjustments are gamey, but it was possible to do extremely lame stunts...
  18. I have gotten a Total Victory from that battle. I didn't even play particularly well there, just basic stuff, fire and movement, plenty of suppressive fire, "find, fix & flank" and spreading out your men a bit so they don't get all wiped out by a single machine gun. You have plenty of men and ammo, 2x HMGs and 2x light mortars, that means you can throw tons of lead at any para that pops it's head up. I don't know if I'm in the majority or minority, but I'm of the opinion that in order to have contrast there needs to be easy battles and hard battles. Sometimes the campaigns have battles that you don't even need to win in order to proceed. (you don't need to win every battle in a campaign to win the campaign, so there isn't a need to bash one's head into a wall) I did suffer abysmal casualties, but the AI didn't have men left and had to surrender. C'est la guerre.
  19. When I select the Market Garden module in the store with Mail Only or Download + Mail delivery, it says "No Printed manual" for both. For what it's worth.
  20. Sorry to hear about your trouble. From what version is the PBEM save game? As a general rule of thumb, always finish ongoing games in an earlier version before upgrading OR keep the old installation and continue the games in progress on that while creating a new installation for the MG/2.10. (Atleast on my setup, when installing the game on the same computer, it does not ask for the license key. I have had 4 installations of CMBN simultaneously.) http://www.battlefront.com/community/showthread.php?t=107758
  21. It is an epic campaign, a work of art. Unfortunately due to the sheer colossal size of it and the fact that it was made by one volunteer man in his especially limited free time due to RL constraints, some errors and mishaps may and apparently have slipped through. (I'm not entirely sure of this but I think those mortar reinforcements were working as intended earlier, something may have changed between builds or in the final compile. Or it was something that was missed entirely!) Thanks for bringing this up and thanks to Paper Tiger for all the great campaigns he has made. (if fingers need to be pointed, blame me for sloppy testing rather than blaming PT)
  22. In a patriotic from the Russian point of view video game about the Winter War, which side would be the aggressor and what would the casus belli be?
  23. Sorry to hear that, wishing him speedy recovery! Thanks for the AARs.
  24. A German 88 says hello to a Firefly: A scene of carnage, the handiwork of M18 Hellcats and Challengers:
