If I remember correctly, you should have two SMAW with the standard ammo load ???
-
To make a real BHD scenario, the game lacks the setting "Use Khat" for the OPFOR ...
-
Chhht! It's a surprise ...

I have the same problem sometimes with the Stryker Mk19 ... I play "Just Another Day" with a friend and he's got these nasty 40mm !

Tank Battle Observation and Questions
Clevinger replied to rogue187's topic in Combat Mission Shock Force 1
Apparently this is correct only for first generation ERA, like on T-55MV, T-62MV, T-72M1V... But the bricks of modern Kontakt-5 doesn't blow off when they are hit . I tried that with "Hasrabit" campaign, with hull down TURMS-Ts and they took quite a few hits, but the bricks were still there. -
At last, this is the first member of the BMP family that can withstand 12.7mm fire on the frontal arc...
-
BMP-2s and BRDMs-ATGM (since 1.10 patch) use the AT-5 Spandrel missile. They don't appear in the manual, because they are only vehicle-mounted in CMSF. So, for short, AT-5 are Semi-automatic LOS missile, with a single shaped charge missile.

Hmmm... Generation Kill voices would be great : "Habdaba... Habadidaba!"
-
I doubt that... Every BLUFOR soldier is able to call fire support if I'm right, but as a private the delays will be greater. Team leaders (1-star) are more effective and squad leaders (with 2-stars) are even better.
-
Absolutely, I noticed this not long ago, as I was replaying the "Hasrabit" campaign. I guess the whole C2 thing is broken if you don't have the green light, but I'm not quite sure about this...

I definitely want a SLOD Vs SLOD campaign. Made by Paper Tiger, it would be just marvelous
-
I guess you will have to wait for CMSF 2 then

Is impact fuzed artillery too powerfull against trenches?
Clevinger replied to hcrof's topic in Combat Mission Shock Force 1
Do you think they put real infantry platoons in trenches, and bombarded them to get those charts? -
In-game difference between M4 and M16?
Clevinger replied to LukeFF's topic in Combat Mission Shock Force 1
Somebody pointed out the fact that the M4A1 is (or was) in use only in Special Forces units. The standard M4 is not capable of full automatic mode like the M4A1. You may have noticed that indeed the US troopers only use 3-round bursts since 1.10. -
Yeah, very little is known of this tank, except for a few design choices. The model displayed at various shows was with a mock-up turret, so it is hard to tell what this tank will look like. The T-90 will remain Russia's MBT until 2025.

Improving the look of CM Normandy
Clevinger replied to panzermartin's topic in Combat Mission Shock Force 1
Even better than the Normande cows grogs ! -
Which weapon were you watching? Because I remember that the bolt-action animation was implemented with the Marine module, for the M40A3. That was requested by Huntarr, and BFC did it because that was obviously on schedule for Normandy. One less thing to do, huh?

Use it or lose it question...
Clevinger replied to Falconander's topic in Combat Mission Shock Force 1
Dietrich : there are two girls on the french CM site "Appui-feu" ! Mhh, two out of 200... Statiscally it is an endangered species  -
When I tried SF for the first time, I was very surprised that BFC chose to withdraw the command delays. But I was very comfortable with that, since between each waypoint you have to wait for the squad to gather. Which is a form of delay in itself. I think that reintroducing command delays in the forms of CMx1 wouldn't be a real progress.

Such a retro-fitting achievement, I would have been a shame But I bet the optics of the tank had a bit of a rough time, am I right?

What were the results of this straffing?

JTAC teams (Army) vs. Fire Control Teams (Marines)
Clevinger replied to Dietrich's topic in CMSF Strategy and Tactics Forum
What about JTAC (Army) teams in a FS3-equipped vehicle? -
The NATO module and a post from Oct 2005
Clevinger replied to Sequoia's topic in Combat Mission Shock Force 1
In fact the AML-90 have been phased out for some time now, but we still have an identical armored car : the ERC-90 "Sagaie". These vehicles perform very well in desert terrain, Africa for instance -
What about a screenshot? It was 1.08 so the ammo load inside the BMPs was increasing each turn since 30 turns... 35 AT-4 exploding with the 73mm ammo
-
During a night urban, RedVsRed scenario, I had 3 BMP parked on the same way along a large road. They were aligned and separated by 100m... A T-72M1 came at 500m on that road and performed a hat trick in a single shot
