  1. I did not like the head-dress for the fighters so I swapped it for the one the Combatants use. www.cmmods.com
  2. I bet Abdul is thinking... "I can learn to do eye-holes but you guys will always be ass-holes"
  3. MadMatt will be chapping at your door, with his shotgun in hand. You have been warned!!
  4. Combat Mission: Atlantic Wall or too lengthy?
  5. I have seen it once. Red to yellow base, and that is in countless battles. It may have been my eyes playing tricks but I am 90% sure it happened.
  6. The enemy AI does in fact use it's artillery and air support albeit in a first turn dump but only if the scenario designer has placed target areas on the map during the creation of the map.
  7. I feel it's a worthwhile pass-time. Tons of mods, scenario's and campaigns out there now for download.
  8. Some Scots troops in Iraq were ambushed so they fixed bayonets and charged. Killed and wounded over 30 assailants with gunfire and bayonet if I recall. The ambush was very close. I am sure an account of this action is available on wiki. Maybe that's where I read it in the first place.

  11. It seems that buddy aid is only dished out if the unit is in good condition. Pinned or suppressed units won't administer buddy aid till the threat has cleared. Then they will pick someone, possibly at random, possibly based on usefullness of there kit and take a couple of minutes to apply a band-aid or three. Making off with there kit in the process. Tank Commanders with RPG's can happen and so on. This is all based upon my experience of CMSF and is probably wrong and totally unreliable and should not be read by anyone, ever.
  12. The molemen make an attempt to capture a bigger target....
  13. In your set up phase you can paint a zone and give Hide or Ambush 150m orders, put the start time and finish time to a few minutes. This means the enemy play hidey for as long as you wish. Then after that you don't paint an order on the map but just change the AI settings for order 2 to active or ambush 1000m with Max Assault. This tends to give the AI troops about 5 mins or however long you wish to hide them for then they pop up all guns blazing. Vehicles it won't work so well as they get spotted easily despite the hide order. It's a little trick that you may find useful in planning your defence AI.
  14. Thanks, Sgt. I am dabbling with some mods for Syrian infantry uniforms and it's not easy to come up with something realistic yet different enough to warrant a posting at cmmods.com and when I looked at the files for modding a vehicle my eyes almost popped out my head. So BIG cheer to all the modders for there expertise. Scenario and campaign design is a frustrating thing at times but immensley rewarding if even one person enjoys what you have crafted. I am still a novice at it but hope to improve as I go on.
  15. Yeah, PT To do it properly I was planning something like 9 battles that might never be seen by most players. So a 5 battle mini-campaign would be 14 battles to ensure all the possible changes. Was a lot of work for a very small minority of players to ever see. Pity but maybe there might be dynamic variable parameters at some point in the scripts.
  16. Thanks! Hope you enjoy the rest of your battles
  17. Dynamic parameters...not sure if it is the correct term but depending on the victory or loss your supply and refit etc etc are varied. Yes, this micro-campaign is very easy. I wanted to give the players a simpler time of it after the Operation Campsite was deemed unwinnable. I think this campaign is quite fun to play and, believe it or not, I dithered over the amount of armour supplied to BLUE. I went the whole hog for the simple fact it's fun to sometimes just rampage. Thanks again for all the positive feedback, next time I might just get it spot on
  18. Fair point. It's trying to find a balance between challenging and non-challenging situations.
  19. A US tank company heads onwards to it's fate and destiny along an advance route plotted for it. Strong leadership is needed to see the final objectives taken. This is a 4 battle Micro campaign with one diversion set with dynamic parameters. Check it out at www.cmmods.com This is playable in about 90mins from start to finish, depending on your aggressive nature

  21. Do you try the scenarios that people make or the campaigns?
  22. Improved QB experience please, Steve. Or the puppy gets it
  23. I suppose you get that everywhere really. Some nice, some bad. Scots are very solid and reliable people usually. Make friends with a Scot and time and tide will not matter, they will always be a friend. Most of the time quite literally give you the coat off there back if need be.
