Along similar lines, I'd like to request what weapons are to be used. Instead of heavy, I'd like to choose AT missiles or Rockets (or guns or bombs from jets, etc). Might as well be able to tell my men what weapons to use as well! ;D

I have an ati radeon x850 and I'm getting constant crashes. It had been working fine with some old drivers, but started to crash from time to time. I decided to install 9.3 and it started crapping out within a few minutes. So I thought, maybe I can just roll back... nope. So I tried 9.2 and 9.1, both with crashes that result in either a blank blue screen, black screen, freeze, or restarting my machine! I'm not sure what to do at this point! Any help would be great.

What? You didn't like the rock music with the middle eastern twist?

*MOD* US Faces by M1A1TC

All together is like the evolution of Michael Jackson. :D I do like the one in the lower right, he must be the joker of the bunch. -
Files rating - Could it be improved ? -
theFightingSeabee replied to snake_eye's topic in CMSF Scenario and Mod Design Forum
Moon, I'm not complaining too much here, but one big reason that there are less comments is that navigating to what you want isn't always easy to do. If there were some quicker way, like some type of quick list or something where you can see all of the files, then it might take less time to find a mod/scenario and therefor might have more feedback. Just a thought. -
1.20 patch seems to make the difference
theFightingSeabee replied to snake_eye's topic in CMSF Scenario and Mod Design Forum
Were you using the Target command? If you were, they may have seen a more imminent threat and decided to shoot at that. That is probably what happened. Can you confirm that they weren't shooting at someone else? -
Scenario; Red Stream 120
theFightingSeabee replied to Pandur's topic in CMSF Scenario and Mod Design Forum
I fired it up again and so far so good! I must have had something running in the background or something. It's a little choppy if I'm moving the camera while viewing longways, but really actually MUCH better than last time. I'm about 20 min in and it kicks ass so far. I already love the 3 hr limit you put on there. Thanks for that! -
Don't Let Shock Force Die!
theFightingSeabee replied to bstarr's topic in Combat Mission Shock Force 1
I'm not sure any air will be let out until cmsf2 is near release. Since the cmsf base game is basically upgraded with every patch, it continues to grow. Also, I've noticed that a lot of the user made scenarios are still using US Army and USMC, not to mention Red vs Red, so as long as they keep patching cmsf, we will keep playing and posting. -
Scenario; Red Stream 120
theFightingSeabee replied to Pandur's topic in CMSF Scenario and Mod Design Forum
Pandur, I was going to play right after initial download. I loaded it up and it REALLY made my system crawl. My machine doesn't do so well with the big maps. I mean, I was getting like .5 fps (or less!). I'll give it another shot asap. The map itself, however, is beautiful. -

I went to the Repository, the upload date is Aug 24, but it looks like the old download. Is that it? -

Thomm, how you managed to do that is a mystery to me. The time limits were always my biggest enemy in almost every mission. Did you play in RT? Either way, I'll make sure never to play you pbem! -
Impressions of the campaign?

By the way, I forgot to add that I had less than 300 dead (including MIA, I consider them dead), and less than 200 wounded. Only lost 7 tanks as well. Not too shabby considering the hellish gauntlet I had to go through to win the campaign. -
WW 2 mods for ShockForce
theFightingSeabee replied to Benlore's topic in CMSF Scenario and Mod Design Forum
They are working on it, but still have many plans for new things to implement. The beta testers such as myself won't see anything for quite a while yet, and I suspect we won't until after NATO is released. -
Impressions of the campaign?
theFightingSeabee replied to Piecekeeper's topic in Combat Mission Shock Force 1
Just finished the campaign. Wow that was extremely difficult! I lost quite a few guys, but under the circumstances, I'm surprised not to have lost more. It was like sending a unit through the North Africa campaign in ww2, and ending up in Stalingrad. It'll be a while before I can go through that one again... some scenarios seemed quite painful to play. But hey, war is hell. -
z-Bee CMSF Mod Manager Released!
theFightingSeabee replied to theFightingSeabee's topic in CMSF Scenario and Mod Design Forum
Thanks to Birdstrike (got your name right ) and Pinetree for testing. They've managed to find a few bugs that I didn't catch, but I'm hammering away at the problems and I'm making great headway. -
I like the tracers. I use the red ones, which are probably the most common. And there's nothing that says that non-Americans only use green. It would be cool to see some different colors, but for now red is where it's at.

Vinnart is on the money. I use all of those (european terrain in certain cases). One of the BEST ways to really change the atmosphere of the game is using sound mods. I recommend AKD's sound mod. I use his, but I have customized and mixed and matched many of the sounds. But it's probably the best place to start. And go ahead and check out my z-Bee mod manager 1.2. I'm almost finished with 1.3, but you can use 1.2 in the mean time and you'll be able to import your stuff into 1.3 once it is done. Not to toot my own horn, but the mod manager really does help me sort out all of the mods.

IBCT Truck Platoon
theFightingSeabee replied to SoopSandwich's topic in CMSF Scenario and Mod Design Forum
I believe the loadouts are all predetermined. Although you can (I believe) specify whether they are low on supply or not. But making them fully loaded will not add anything they weren't programmed to have.
