  1. Thanks, I'm glad you enjoy the 3 tone camo (as I do). I decided to make the plain green version for all those you don't like the camo, it's little effort to do so it's not a big deal (such as a completely different camo would be). The 3-tone versions are downloaded a bit more, but I guess many just downloaded both to see them in game prior to choosing. I'm taking a look at the BMP-3 now. There are 4 modern versions, 2 different versions, 1 AT, 1 recon. BRM-3 BMP-3 BMP-3k BMP-3M BMP-3M (shtora) BMP-3M (arena) BMP-3M( ERA) So, I thought about this: a 3-tone version for the BMP-3M and its 3 variants (yet to see what to do with the big ERA bocks) and for the recon variant. But only the plain green version for the BMP-3, BMP-3k and Krizantema.

Kieme CMBS T-90AM This mod starts with BTR 's research and conversion of russian vehicles into a realistic green color, so all credits shall go to him as the author of the original texture, which is in my opinion a great digital version of the original modern russian green, therefore special thanks to him and his work.   4. I belive it's quite hard to model this. It's virtually impossible to settle the AI for any kind of situation you can have (a building, a ditch, a deperession, a wall, whatever it is it will Always be different, depending on where the shooting come from). Besides, the Whole idea of paniking is mainly that your input is completely impossible.

  7. In a quick test I hit an M1A2 with several 152mm strikes. The shots Landing on the turret caused a "top hit" warning message but nothing else (can't say about the subsystems, will need more tests). The only penetration was a "top rear hull penetration", which immediately destroyed the vehicle.

  9. Any ETA on .02 patch? Map creation is on hold now due to the elevation bug (creating elevations without the automatic system is a horrible task).

  11. I would definitely like a NATO module. NATO does not mean Great Britain only, there are a couple of dozens countries only in Europe that could be used as an expansion. So saying no to NATO is quite extreme in my opinion, even foolish. Marines, yes I would like to see them added in game. Their organization is quite different from the Army and given the new amphibious vehicle feature we can finally have real landings in game.

I decided to try the most famous russian 3-tone camo. Mixed feelings about it, it's quite hard to get the right sand color and this is only an attempt; besides, the game textures are not really camo friendly, you can't get exactly what you want, some compromise is necessary... Speaking of compromises, the side skirts should be Painted as well, I left them in black rubber because my techniques do not allow me to get the same sand/green colors on them, so note this as a necessary compromise.   16. I know the america under attack has a lot of appeal for the american audience, and there are many reason why. Reminds of old wars before and right after the country was born, it's something that never happened since, despite the many wars fought and enemies had. It has a somewhat less appeal for us european, because we obviously can't have the same feelings if we look at a strategic map showing movements such as the one panzer reported (encirclement of soviet forces outside Portland has a huge impact on an american reader). And you people can get a good chunk of immersion seeing roads and houses that could be yours by the look and disposition of it. Anyway, it would be a perfect (huge) mod/conversion. And I would be extremely happy to play that.
  17. I saw that secondary kill of front crew in the other BMP-3. The explosion of the first BMP-3 was extremely huge (that's the largers modelled by the game), so it has to show extreme consequences at a short radius. The game shows this by Killing the people in the front compartment, in truth you might see the second BMP-3 loosing the entire front part, just like a car crashed. The second BMP-3 could even be flipped by the explosion.. that's just not modelled by the game. Look at the hummer killed by a 125mm round on top, with that hole you are pretty sure the kinetic energy could have made the entire vehicle filp on itself. Anyway, that BMP-3 event? Pretty fantastic in my opinion. first event, first reaction (first shot BMP-3 killed), second reaction (troops still alive leaving the vehicle) second event (secondary explosion), third reaction, troops nearby killed, fourth vehicle nearby hit, fifth reaction crew hit A very extensive list of cause/effect modelled by the game, and all with a single input by the player (or even without, if the shooter was the AI).

  20. Wolverines makes me wonder about a big conversion of the game, a tribute, something like the "americanization of the conflict"...

Work in progress for something different, a 3-tone camo on the T-90A (still missing the smaller black patches): Not easy to add camo on the T-90, as for the T-64 Bulat, the ERA blocks are not one different than another, and some texture bits are used for both elements of the couple (example: shtora emitters), so, unfortunately, I can't paint only one of them. I am sure to release both the standard green version and this camo one. Both with the same weathering.
