  1. Congrats sburke, I think... Last time anybody made it to knight in this place was when Emrys was a young lad chasing the damsels. And that was eons ago. Talking of damsels, where is Emrys. We know he survived his little accident, so what's his excuse to not show up here? The smell of Joe's armpits? Talk to us, Emrys!
  2. ASL, sigh. I have it sitting pretty on a shelf. I am looking at it right now. I bought the Rulebook Binder, Beyond Valor and Paratrooper in 1993. I have not played it once. All mint, no counters punched. I bought it on impulse. Silly me. If anybody is interested send me a PM.
  3. Yeah, I don't understand this either. What made it horrible to play, DasMorbo? And like LukeFF said, which titles are abandoned? CMBN gets a new pack and CMFI will even get a new module. There is no end of support of these games in sight at the moment as far as I know. Please explain what you mean.
  4. The list is endless. CMBN is so much better IMHO. I loved CMBO, but it had it's day. Play the demo and see for yourself.
  5. And your 2 cents are probably the only ones that BFC will make off your release strategy I am afraid... But I could be wrong.
  6. Good luck, kch001 and enjoy the ride. Making a scenario can give great satisfaction. If you need tips and tricks, just ask here on the forum. There is a sizeable group of scenario builders hanging about that are willing to answer any questions. And the ultimate prize is of course sharing it with the community :-)
  7. You could make a donation to someone using PayPal. Say a dollar or so. Not mandatory, just as a sign of appreciation if you liked the scenario (it IS a ton of work after all). Not sure how many people would actually do that though. You probably will not get rich this way
  8. The nudy bar? Ow wait, wrong thread
  9. Mastering the editor is not that hard. It is somewhat cumbersome, I agree. But once you get to know it, it ain't that bad. If sburke can do it....
  10. You mean this I presume: http://community.battlefront.com/topic/111955-the-forgotten-battle-for-overloon/ He shelved it AFAIK, choosing to wait for the Bulge game instead and probably redo it. Bulge will contain the proper units in the proper timeframe.
  11. You're welcome. Perhaps the obscurity is partly due to the fact that it was mostly a British, Canadian and Polish affair. The US 7th Arm Division and the 104th "Timberwolves" Inf Division were active in Holland in the fall, but that was it basically. And of course the 101st Airborne on "The Island". But especially Overloon was gruesome.
  12. There was lots of fighting in the south of Holland during the fall. Most of it is not very well known though. Market Garden was of course a spectacular battle. After that it was more of a slogging match to reach the river Maas. Perhaps the battle of Overloon is the exception. That is somewhat better known. Ow JonS, looking good.
  13. The cesspool? In the Red Thunder forum. Sure you want to go in there ? Edit: Ah, Jeckle beat me to it.
  14. Playing around in the editor is fun
  15. Cut out a piece of a Master Map and create your own scenario on it. This is what I did in CMRT Gates of Warsaw. I treated the cut out as a somewhat raw map. I made considerable changes to the cut out (adding flavor objects, but I also added a few 100 meters to one side of the map that I needed and were not in the original). By starting out with a cut out of a Master Map and adapting it to your needs (if that is even necessary of course), you save a LOT of time compared to making your own map from scratch.
  16. Heeeeere Croda Croda Croda Come here, boy! Come on! -Whistle- Excuse me, have you seen Croda out anywhere? He seems to have slipped his chain in the Cesspool and is running amok outside somewhere. If you find him, don't get too close, as he is quite rabid. If you have any Barbra Streisand music, it will calm him down and make him flatulate a little less. Also remember to hide your stuffed animals and don't mention anything about a dalem thing as that will drive him round the bend. -Whistle- Heeere Croda! Come home, boy! - Crickets chirping be here - Hmmm, Croda seems to have been missing for 9 years now. Interpol?
  17. I liked Ambrose's books a lot, warts and all. Let's not forget that he gave us Band of Brothers. He must have done something right for that to be turned into the greatest TV series ever :-)
