  1. can you open any of the turns or do they all suffer? (in answer, no have not seen anything like this before and am also on Windows 10)
  2. Off the top of my head, try the VG formations. I am pretty sure they get a heavier complement.
  3. not sure what you are asking, but there is no method for you to influence TAC AI behavior in treating your wounded (or grabbing their gear).
  4. If you have no mods then you must have loaded some other game BRZs in your data folder. Check that maybe provide a screenshot and folks will be able to help. What you should have for version 2 game engine 4.0 is the following final blitzkrieg v100a final blitzkrieg v100b final blitzkrieg v100c final blitzkrieg v100d final blitzkrieg v100e final blitzkrieg v100f final blitzkrieg v100g final blitzkrieg v101 final blitzkrieg v102 final blitzkrieg v200 Check the documents user data folder for the game as well.
  5. Nice. Poking the bear was a lot of fun testing. I think I probably went through it a dozen times in different iterations. Some unique challenges. That 2nd shot is poster worthy
  6. Amphibs was confirmed by Steve in another thread. Ammo dumps am not sure of as that would probably entail a ToE change. Fingers crossed. I want it for arms cache search missions.
  7. Dang Halloween requires electricity up there? Geez a few candles and away you go. And it works much better for the theme anyway.
  8. I can’t speak for QBs, but for scenario creation yeah. He’s already done a bit of that in the Mosul scenario
  9. Just out of curiosity, why bother worrying about modding tank crews? For the most part you never see them and I don’t think you can adjust the voice files. You can still add any vehicle from any side by manipulating the forces in the data screen. I suspect even a jihadist would want a proper helmet in a tank. First time he bangs his head on a turret rim will make him want one
  10. They are equally difficult. BF first has to assess the ToE then review what that implies in the game regarding new models etc. the work for a 2008 game will have some overlap with a 2017 game, but also a lot of changes so I wouldn’t be too sure what any relationship between the two might be. The OoB battle for CMSF as Steve has noted is mostly set with some minor changes that he stated. CMSF2 is simply an effort to bring CMSF up to the 4.0 engine and to do so without expanding the scope (I.e. project creep). I think conflating the ToE as a basis of making CMSF a module misses the point that BF is loathe to expand a game family beyond a specific scope. That is the main issue with your suggestion and the ToE has little to do with that. This is no different than asking why CMFB was not just a module for CMBN. It is a non starter.
  11. Chris's campaign TF Panther starts out that way with LBOP of paratroopers coming in all willy nilly as you try to organize them into a coherent force while the enemy is starting to show up, It worked really well. JonS had a similar effect in an early version of the Sheriff of Oosterbeek that I really loved. It can be done and no it doesn't need the actual choppers, but I'd love to be able to do an Operation Anaconda or Black Hawk Down someday and see actual choppers. Probably never will, but it will always be something cool to see.
  12. Black sea doesn't have any IEDs and highly unlikely I'll get my wish for being able to disarm etc Reality bites
  13. yeah but the question might be when and if they settled on it as the target. You might have seen a kill the following turn, but if they had started on one target and it shifted in and out of site they may have not targeted the stationary one before they ran out of time to fire within that turn.
  14. watch your teams closely, if they lose their spot for any reason it takes them up to 15 sec to acquire. If they switch targets for any reason, they will start all over on the 15 sec counter. Javs are deadly but they are not a snap fire weapon.
  15. if he does I don't think N Korea will be here next week. If a N Korean nuke missile explodes above ground I expect the US military will react immediately. I think N Korea knows that and combined with some of the flak they are getting from China they have to be a bit wary. That tunnel collapse set back their testing program a bit.
  16. ran a quick test, yes Javs do shoot at BTRs. I just had one team destroy 2 and another team destroy a 3rd. The 3rd was killed at 86 meters.
  17. doesn't look like we'll see another underground test anytime soon. https://www.yahoo.com/news/north-korea-nuclear-test-collapse-093544792.html
  18. Note that is in command mode. Just to be clear that for me anyway it is more useful observing during the action phase. That is where I get to discern their perceptions while actually in action. The command phase is just that for me, figuring out from observing the previous turn who is capable of what and planning for remedying any issues observed during the previous action phase (like getting people back into a better C2 condition)
  19. It is also the nature of combat. It is repetitive. I can appreciate wanting something always surprising and different but it is unrealistic to expect that to be a constant in design. On the other hand critiques are what allow a designer to see alternative perspectives.
  20. Heh yeah that pretty much covers a lot of the forum discussions. I think in this case though it is more just finding the middle ground. Suppression is one thing, running into the open is another. I was trying out the first mission of the Scottish campaign, a couple arty rounds and the Germans crawled from behind the hedgerow, into the open and over to a shell hole in plain sight. Look at it as spotting rounds. First round was under, second round was over. Hoping the next round hits spot on.
  21. The tough part is maintaining LOS while staying out of LOF i am looking at having to upgrade to 60+ engine for life version soon and am pissed at some apparent feature loss. Bogging seems to have a greater likelihood of happening and spotting gets worse.
  22. I’d be willing to take a look but am on the road till Wednesday. How long were the BTRs in sight? Takes a bit for acquisition for the javelin.
