  1. Thanks a lot. Is it safe to update while having games in progress?
  2. I might have a look at it, though no promises as I have a lack of time right now.
  3. IIRC I did some tests with marshes in CMRT vs "hard" ground and came to the conclusion that there was not a major difference. The tests were not extensive.
  4. Two minor things I've noted. First concerning shadows (may not be unique for FB): As you can see, the shadow of the soldier on the bridge is cast on the front of the bridge X-ray style (to the right). The other minor thing is that usually in the beginning of replay of turns I sometimes get a minor freeze/stutter of the animation for about 1/10 sec. I don't see this in BN that I play with the same settings as FB.
  5. Excellent mod benpark, really adds immersion to the "Baraque du Fraiture" mission. Is it tagged for snowy conditions?
  6. We're in for a treat. I'm running out of superlatives. Art, plain and simple.
  7. I'm helping poesel with mapping CMFI+GL base scenarios and campaigns. Work underway - stay tuned.
  8. Well maye something has changed. In the Lanzerath Ridge scenario I first defoliated and then destroyed a tree from continuous HMG/rifle fire (some 20 turns) and a Panzerschreck round.
  9. One observation I made (just one so far), was that German HMG set up in a house in about 1 1/2 turn. Something that usually takes longer, if succeeding to deploy fully at all. New coding for this?
  10. If that is your entry level to snow modding - imagine what some practise will achieve Good start man!
  11. That's to the point. I micromanage a lot and when a unit just sits there for a long time I always feel the urge to "do" something.
  12. In "Lanzerath Ridge", the FJ units have regular infantry unit portraits. Arn't there FJ portraits in FB?
  13. Seen that with snow also. Especially when toggling trees on and off.
  14. Yep, restores my faith in humanity. It has been taking a heavy toll by world events the past year especilly. This is what makes a community work, people helping each other out.
  15. This is a really cool idea. First of all for the overview and for context, but also if you read about a battle and think of making a scenario - it is not always easy to tell if it has been done from the scenario titles alone.
  16. Second that re uniforms - the ones in "la Patrouille" are splendid. And the small action scenario is top notch as well. Yet again BFC delivers
  17. Wow, you're really good looking Chris Awesome release - "Gentlemen, start your Sturmtiger engines..." Enjoy. Have a lot of fun. I know I will.
  18. Too bad if they have that kind of attitude My impression though was that vechicle models are WIP.
  19. A promising looking game that is planned for release in Q3 17 that aims to combine aspects of CM, Close Combat, strategy and tactics. What do you think? http://www.wargamer.com/news/the-tactical-art-of-combat-the-next-catch-all-combat-king/ http://www.tackom.com/news.htm
  20. In my tests the first HE always defoliated the tree, so that seems like a pattern.
  21. Test two: aimed at the canopies and the result was pretty much the same. Once defoliated the canopy seemed a bit harder to hit. Again, the test needs to be run with AP. Also, this is for one type of tree. There might be differences. Test three: a field of bushes (C). Really hard to get a hit with a low enough trajectory, but the one hit I got eliminated the bush instantly. What will AP do? IRL would it just pass through. Edit: test one and two were at 450 m and not 250 as stated previously.
  22. I did a first test. Three Shermans (75 mm at about 250m) two "D" trees, HE shots (aimed at houses). Shots aimed low to hit trunks. Both trees defoliated after first hit and both disappeared after third hit. I will run the test again and aim at the canopies to see if the result is different. And then try the test with AP.
