  1. I have wondered what causes the TOW "missile gymnastics"/"acrobatics" - why does it fly in a corkscrew kind of way instead of more of a straight line? This is seen in live footage so I'm sure it modelled in the game correctly.
  2. I usually play on next to highest but put it on highest because I thought that keeping the camera still with highest settings would be the most ideal for max draw distance. I actually think that the highest setting has a tendency to make things look to sharp and thereby "unnatural". I know very little about all the settings one can make for the graphics card and sort of only copy what others have said works. Is there a particular setting that is most closely connected to draw distance?

  4. Cycling settings with hotkeys does change in game look but never to a satisfactory level. I'm starting to think that there are texture files missing.
  5. I have updated all my games to 4.0 (not RT) but for BS I now get very short/poor draw distance despite highest graphics settings. The frame rate is not a problem so it is not due to load on the CPU. I have the same Nvidia control panel settings as for the other games. I uninstalled the game, but noted that all files were not removed so I did that manually. Installed the complete 2.0 package newly downloaded but get the same poor draw distance. It is not running on integrated graphics card but the Nvidia one. No mods installed. It has never looked this bad before and I can't figure out which setting is causing this. Vertical sync off and antialiasing on.

  7. Could it be because the usual CM scenario is too short range for them to function as on-map indirect fire? Their arc of fire is too flat?
  8. It was the first pc war game I got hooked on. I would buy a sequel in the same vein in an instant.
  9. I just discovered this in FB, which was an issue prior to 4.0 but was patched out. It's back I'll look for it in other games as well.
  10. This is about as good as it gets (AFAIK). You can view and download 1GB maps (TIFF format) of the Normandy sections, as well as the rest of France and Belgium.
  11. @exsonic01 what vehicle mods do you use, doesn't look like the ones I have.
  12. The mortar team can fire the mortar if area target further away than bazooka range (175m), even though the target line reads "out of range". The coming turn I have placed a shorter area target to see if they use mortar/bazooka or regular weapons.

Upon closer inspection, one turn later, the team has deployed the mortar but when trying to direct fire (even though no LOS at the moment) the target line states "out of range" after 175 m which is the bazooka max range. Also, the bazooka is shown in the picture rather than the mortar. @Vanir Ausf B do you still want me to send save? It is a PBEM game started in 4.0.
  14. Update: The scenario development has been on hold for a while. The guys I had pegged for pre-TPG testing has too much to do, so I'm going to test on my own in hotseat mode to find tweaks to gameplay and map.   15. I noticed something that might be a bug. I have a US light mortar 60 mm squad and they buddy aided a bazooka. Now they can't deploy their mortar despite having ammo. Does the bazooka overtake as the main weapon of choice?

  17. Thanks a lot One design flaw in the editor is different objects represented by the same icon, like trees sometimes. This helps and I can confirm it works for FB as well.
  18. I'm really keen on a CMSF v 4. Was almost going to buy the existing big bundle but I'll wait until it gets updated. Then I'll buy it on day one for sure.
  19. I started making a scenarion in 3.0 intended for H2H only. If I understand this I will be able to continue making it in 4.0 and players with either engine will be able to play it, right?
  20. That was the way CMFI was launched pretty much - no "warning". Also, work on a module for FI has been mentioned for a long time despite lack of details. Otherwise they could have just launched the update for FI with the other ones.
  21. That way they can showcase all the new AI features of the 4.0 engine in all new scenarios and campaigns.
  22. My guess is that the 4.0 engine upgrade for FI will be launched together with a module.
