  1. I know that I sometimes before has had arty missions "disappear", but always thought it was due to broken communications or either HQ or arty unit moving.
  2. Maybe this is common knowledge, but I have never noticed. If you have an on map mortar that a FO has called in a mission for and it is "preparing" - if you as much as target directly with that mortar (and cancel), the entire FO mission is scrubbed. Which is annoying. Some kind of warning message would be nice or unable to target directly for the mortar as long as it is for a arty mission.
  3. IIRC, ChrisND even did a Twitch broadcast with that zombie mod in case someone wants to check it out.
  4. I wonder if this bug might be related to the one where MG units refused to move (reported) as it happened in that campaign (can't look up the thread now)?
  5. I long for the day when all bridge bugs are gone. I recently had (prior to 4.0) in RT a HT drop down below a bridge. The bugs must be really hard because they have tried and tried again. Persistant little buggers. Too bad you lost the entire campaign because of it. That sucks.
  6. Yep, I get that too, both on PC/Chrome and iPad/Safari. Not minutes though, but occasional time out.
  7. Wasn't FI itself released without any "warning" or AAR? I seem to remember it so - or has my brain gotten all old and foggy
  8. Thank you I have already downloaded your scenario as the praise got me interested. I find just looking at well made maps to be a source of inspiration. I don't find much time to play BS but I might give it a go later on.
  9. Sir, it is the enemy trying to shoot the sun down to impair or spotting. Knew the Jerries had secret weapons, but THIS ...
  10. I did. Check the thread below. I have two guys who do the first major playtest and I do adjustments as the provide feedback. When they are done I will make some final map adjustments, a proper tactical map and then release for tests at TPG. If you want to build a campaign and in any way use my material, PM me and we can discuss your ideas.
  11. And now the review is here: http://www.armchairgeneral.com/combat-mission-final-blitzkrieg-pc-game-review.htm Not the best set of screenshots to promote the game
  12. From what I can see, churches are pretty much in the same style as in BN, right? The pictures I have seen so far of churces in Belgium/Ardennes is that they differ in style a lot from the Normandy look. So a question for our Belgian (or tourist) members - do you agree that it is so IRL? Ought churces be changed to fit the style better? I find the small church to look particularly out of place, at least if I compare with the one in Ouren/Peterskirche for which area I'm making a scenario.
  13. A shout out to the maker of Chaumont Part 2 which was a great H2H battle. The map offers a lot of interesting situations and decisions for both sides. Good job and highly recommended!
  14. I usually pull them out of harms way until the tank threat is gone and then move forward as a mobile MG pillbox vs infantry and spotting in general. And if a H2H battle it may confuse the other player into thinking it is a new tank. Another solution would be to make the game remember which units one for which one has clicked on the damage tab - that way you can have a reminder for all subsystem damage.
  15. As it is now, you have to check the tab for system damage to see if the main gun works. Problem is in large battles with a lot of tanks is that you can lose track of which tanks has had their main guns knocked out. I usually want the tab for ammo open and find that sometimes I put a tank into a attacking position only to realize that its main gun is out of order. A feature option I'd like is that all ammo (MGs too) that can't be used is indicated with red color, crossed over or something like it.
  16. True dat. I was just going to suggest what Michael says. Researching a historic or even semi-historic scenario can take a long time. And for a campaign it is even more valuable. Locations, forces, conditions, period maps etc. all need to be "read". @DougPhresh you are more than welcome to participate if it comes to a community project.
  17. Cool, I'll keep you in mind if it comes to a community effort. It would be fun to do as a collaborative effort. Workload can be distributed: map team, research team, AI plans team and so on and of course if someone wants to do a whole scenario all the better. Doing a campaign single handedly is a full time job. Kudos to those who do.
  18. Actually, @LiveNoMore and I have already discussed doing something around Task Force Butler and has begun preliminary research. Will wait until next FI module to see if Dragoon is included or not. If not, maybe a community made campaign can be put together? I'd be more than willing to do maps. @DougPhresh, will look at case study later on. Thanks
  19. I have it, can PM dropbox-link later today.
  20. Another interesting thing about the 103S was that it was fully functional with only a one man crew (not ideal of course), that had control of driving, optics and main gun. Not too many designs can do that.
  21. @John Kettler: I guess you know this already, the Saab J-29 was nick-named "The Flying Barrel" due to its distinctive design.
  22. I think the simple answer is that we were not involved in any military conflicts during its time. Don't know if we exported any. Also, its main intention was in a defensive role as it couldn't fire on the move. But it could get a hull down position in a puddle of water due to its low profile
