The secondary thread spinning off that talking about the possible implications of Ukrainian forces breaking Russian IFF codes due to these captures is fascinating.
Hope they can pull something like that off.

I saw in a post somewhere else where they called it "The Putin War".
Which seems better than calling it the "Russian-Ukrainian War" - it tells everyone who started it and who for.

You'd have to wonder how Russians ( in the army and in the political circle ) would respond if Putin threatens to nuke their "brothers" because they just. wont. listen.
There's got to be more than a few that would realise that isn't any kind of rational act - even if Putin's cracked up a bit, they can't all go mad at the same time. 

I cannot get my head around the value of the equipment the Russian Army is just throwing away !
Just that Tunguska and Tor-M2 together have to be $30 million plus 🤔 
( I assume the Tor-M2 DesertFox showed being towed is the one we saw a still of earlier ... because if they've captured 2 my head will explode ).

They got the attacking AI right though.

After all the worry about how Western supplies were going to reach the front, it turns out that most of the supplies are coming from the east ! 🤣🤣

Jamming and/or bad radios might explain some of the more bizarre "abandonments" we've seen - You've been ambushed, you've lost a few vehicles, not sure where the enemy is and even if you did, you're not sure where you are, taking more fire and the comms hookup you cobbled together stops working so you have no contact higher up... - low motivation troops might well just leg it and leave everything behind.

I'm wondering in similar fashion how safe Lukashenko is with some of his army being deployed to Ukraine and no Russian troops available to bail him out again if the population decide they'd rather see the back of him.
 
( "if the population decide they'd rather see the back of him." - of course, that would never happen without the "West" organising a coup and Soros/Bill Gates/other boogeyman financing it. Because no population ever just decided they were fed up with a corrupt leader by themselves... )

Apparently, if we look at Russian results so far from video, traffic bunching and jamming on roads ala CM is also, indeed, 100% accurate.

Problem is that every time Putin has been allowed to get away with something, he's escalated.
So if everyone says "let him have Ukraine or he'll nuke us", what do you say when he decides he'd like a land-bridge to Kaliningrad ? Or that some other neighbouring country is "historically Russian" ?

Any territorial concessions from our side are impossible. Our army and society got courage and will not allow such deals. I assume possibility of neutral status only. Ukranian society pleased to NATO for a weapon, but dissappointed because of "deep concerning" policy and fear in front of Russia. Year ago Putin also either prepared invasion or just trained it, but B-52s in our sky, British paratroopers in Kherson some colled him. If NATO would send some troops for demonstrative purpose, maybe Putin will not dare to invade and thousands of lifes would be saved...

If you know this, how is it that you don't see that it undermines the whole Russian demand that "Ukraine must not join NATO" argument as the conflict in Donbas prevents Ukraine joining.
( probably why Russia started the whole "separatist" thing in the first place, but that's a different thread )

1. Russia achieved that in 2014. NATO was almost completely moribund when the Crimean invasion took place and galvanised countries.
2. Strange, Putin is supposed to be so smart, yet fell right into their trap. Still, he could take the wind out of their sails by moving troops away from the border. I wonder why he doesn't.
