A question though: If there is no camouflage to applied anymore since 2012, why are there so many vehicles still seen in 3-tone patterns? Will these be repainted? Vehicles from National Guard/reserve units? Just asking becasue I don't know much about the modern stuff but always liked those Russian camouflage patterns and was hoping to see some of them in the game...

Thanks form my side as well - outstanding work! *thumbs up*

Got Fascisti tank camouflage envy?
Earl Grey replied to John Kettler's topic in CM Red Thunder Maps and Mods
I suppose you want modders to get you camouflaged RUSSIAN tanks? -
How many games do you have going at once?
Earl Grey replied to bobo's topic in Combat Mission Red Thunder
Hm... do games against the AI count? If not: NONE. Can't even remember when I saw the last PBEM turn from someone... -
What about your hemet mod update while we're at it...? I've been missing that one for quite a while now.
-
Too bad you won't/can't release those - now some guys will go ahead and fiddle with these to create winter uniforms for CMFI. And as soon as they're finished you might just release those anyway. If you're sure you sued other modders parts in your mod - why not ask for permission so you can release this? Unless of course you took bits and parts from mods for other games... That is when things get difficult.
-
You could - of course! - just make your won textures FROM SCRATCH. It's not that hard, just takes ages.
-
We're working on it - problem is Mikey lost most of his templates during a harddrive crash and everything afterwards was simply cobbled together as fast as possible to get you guys finished textures. Meaning: It'll take some time, but I think we can give you what you want - just bear with us.

Maybe Germany? We have A LOT of these vending machines over here. Would ahve to ask a good friend if she saw those while working in Japan. Vending machines with (COLD) beer usually only in places where adults work - obviously. Although I have to admit our boss would rather ban the alcohol completely because he's afraid one of us will drink while AT work or something...

I fully support your plans of releasing those icons. *hint* *hint* The more the merrier! P.S.: Do we already have enough grass mods...?
-
Now THOSE icons look sexy - which mod is that?
-
Weeell... let me talk to MikeyD about it. He did most of the stock artwork. The StuGs and StuHs should already be around somewhere in the Repository (I did those). At least one or two should be, although the textures changed somehat for CMRT so I'll have to rework them.

What's the problem? Maybe we can help you somehow?

[UPDATED] Soviet and German Tactical Icons
Earl Grey replied to A Canadian Cat's topic in CM Red Thunder Maps and Mods
I like these even more than the first version - good work! -
Hey, why walk away and start something else? There is no better game than CM and there's no better thing than to mod for it! Just kidding - can't wait to see your next uniform set!

King Tiger Henschel mod released
Earl Grey replied to umlaut's topic in CM Red Thunder Maps and Mods
Oh, I like yours, too! Just a little tease from my side. The more different mods, the better it is. I just want to help getting a new modding scene going and the current one alive. I doubt it saw very widespread use, but some units actually did it: sPzAbt505,sSS-PzAbt102, SSDiv "WIKING" to name some I have ssen photographic evidence from. The surface of Zimmerit is VERY rough, so painting any recognition symbols or tactical insignia on it is pretty time-consuming. Correct, but changing the normal map is pretty easy once you have a working one. More or less works like a standard texture. GENERATING a normal map from scratch is an entirely different cup of ta though. -
King Tiger Henschel mod released
Earl Grey replied to umlaut's topic in CM Red Thunder Maps and Mods
It's not that difficult actually: Although technically I wouldn't be allowed to upload this since I... um... borrowed that artwork. -
I was afraid I'd see those sooner or later... I suggest going "light" on the early and mid A since I threw A LOT of dust and dirt on those already. Just in case you haven't noticed already yourself that those two are different already.

[RELEASED] Kieme's Industrialization Mod
Earl Grey replied to Kieme(ITA)'s topic in CM Red Thunder Maps and Mods
Good work! Now we only need some proper scenarios for that mod. Would probably look a bit odd in a standard game... -
Now THAT is awesome. One can't have enough differrent camo smocks! Are you planning on doing all the variations of the different patterns? talking about the so-called "Oak Leaf A/B", and "Palm Tree 1/2", "3/4", "5/6" plus the fall variants...? And if you need help, don't hesitate to ask.

Damian's German Uniforms/Gear (WIP)
Earl Grey replied to Damian45's topic in CM Red Thunder Maps and Mods
A little more detail seen would ahve been nice but I like what I see VERY much. Question though: The colors of the splitner pattern in the second picture look more like what the "Sumpftarn" pattern ("tan-and-water") uses. Did you have a template or you just going for some variation in color? -
Missing shoulder straps rank insigna.
Earl Grey replied to Amedeo's topic in Combat Mission Red Thunder
I'd like the Germans to have modelled shoulder straps like the Soviets do while we're at it... And maybe a senior officer model with a closed collar? -
Ah, misread that then. Sorry. Too many threads I was reading simultaneously.
