You are right. This behaviour is ridiculous and any attempt to defend it is a joke. Remember what the outcome was in CMx1 when you had guys sprinting in the open and a german squad opened up from hide on them ? they IMMEDIATELY hit the deck with casualties and tried frantically to sneak to cover, like they well should ..... now you got those GI Joe Übersoldiers and the Germans feel like syrians with cooler uniforms .....

This is annoying - in a PBEM game from four german "half squads" under fire, it is the leader who dies first in three out of four instances (all in buildings) ....... and you bet everytime a rifle man will be the last man standing ...... no SMG, no LMG

Killing goat herders for being in their OWN country and doing NOTHING apart from being in the way ? Sure. Some kind of Special forces that get themseves compromised by goat herders ..... This discussion clearly shows why it is so hard for the US to win hearts and minds anywhere in the world ..... because it breaks down to OUR boys are allowed to do everything because you know it's war, right ? The other side however should let themselves get killed easily and can get slaughtered for daring to fire their MGs on OUR boys ....... but some of you guys do know better and that gives the world hope ......

Played my first battle with germans - they hardly say anything in german or at all ......... hope they get more eloquent in other battles ...... that not yelling or talking or cursing doesn't really add atmosphere and immersion....

Forget it - it works - installed in wrong folder

Downloaded and installed NATO on 1.21 - had a bit of trouble getting E-license (2 times I got error not connected to internet ?) but on third try it did work and i got to the "launch now" screen - did check this box, but it didn't start it - showed only NATO symbol in the lower left corner, otherwise black screen and freeze - reboot PC and start CMSF but NATO is missing ..... restart and reinstall NATO - no E-license code was asked this time - after launch NATO is STILL missing ...... damn

I substituted the awful starting music with "Loaded" from Primal Scream - and the loading sequence has "Gimmie Shelter" from The Stones - works for me

I played the Blowtorch scenarios PBEM and those are fantastic scenarios/OPs! PS I seem to remember my opponent advised me in this one that my "sleighs" were restricted to move only on "Move" not on "Fast" I think it is in the rules ......
