Hmm, bsides water and AT guns there's also on-board mortars, flame throwers, guys riding on tanks, guys jumping out of halftracks... Can anyone else thing of more MUST HAVE things needed for the WWII first game (US vs Germans in Normandy 1944)? And do try and keep it to must have.

We know the second game will be Normandy/France summer 1944, with the initial release containing U.S Army vs. Wehrmacht. First module will probably contain Brits+Canadians and the SS. Second module my guess is Airborne forces both sides (yes I know the German airborne were just elite infantry by then). Steve once said the only two of first five games will be WWII and he said Eastern Front is out for marketing reasons at the present. I don't think they've decided themselves what the third game will be. It be interesting to see if the third game is Pre-twentieth century. Horses at last!

What we don't want to expose soldiers to pictures of blood and gore? Sounds like mother hen to me. Cutting off this access is bad for morale too.

Yes, not only can you play either side but you can play against your own side with Nato vs Nato and Syria vs Syria so expect to see some interesting scenario combinations.

I suppose we'll have air power attacking friendly forces in CMSF just as we did in the CMX1 games, though supposedly they should be less likely with better communications. Reality shows it's not full proof however.

Maybe well get East Front if a Major League baseball player takes interest in it and funds it like what happened to Advance Squad Leader.

I'm reviving this topic because I'm curious as to whether Battlefront has even decided what the 3rd game will be. No need to tell us what it is. I'm just wondering if you've decided. Also is the projection that only two of first five games will be WWII still the plan?

Unless it's on your own troops in training. Man I can still smell that stuff.

The US will have trucks but no fuel trucks, as far as I know, and fuel is not tracked so there's really no point in them. Ammo is tracked per vehicle/soldier but as far as I know no ammo resupply during a game.

I don't think anyone got mad about Hand to Hand not being in the game. As for me resurrecting the thread, I'm just fishing for bones about things, to my knowledge, were not stated if they would ever be in the game or not. I think we got a very good bone from Moon and I am quite content.

Seeing grenades fly and simulating their effect is certainly good enough for me. Is the amount of grenades each soldier carries tracked?

Well it's certainly not a game breaker for me but I'd like it to be at least considered for the USMC module.

I thought I'd resurrect this thread to see if Battlefront would comment as to if Hand to Hand Combat was included in CMSF. As you can read there is a debate as to if it was necessary

I too would love France and the Low Countries 1940. My summary did not necessarily reflect my own opinions. I would love East Front too, but I recognize were in the minority there.
