  1. I don't completely disagree. I have no problem determining LOS in ToW. The problem I do have is determining Line of Fire... and I've lost many tanks by miscalculating in this regard. It was my understanding that there would be some LOS/LOF tool added patched in. Also, there was mention of improving cover for infantry. Any status on these issues?
  2. This already happens in the current ToW rev.
  3. While we're eagerly awaiting CM:SF, I thought it might be fun to survey the forum and find out what topics other people are most interested. My top 3 in order: 1.) Eastern Front (any period from 41'-'45) 2.) Western Front '40 3.) North Africa -Zach
  4. I agree... but I don't understand how graphics only get 6/10.
  5. Absolutely true!! If BFC distributes it, it's as much their reputation at stake as 1C. That said, I think ToW is an excellent game.
  6. ToW is a beautiful game for sure. But there can never be too many serious tactical WW2 simulators to suit my taste . Onward and upward.... bring on CMx2 Eastern Front!!!
  7. I am interrested in playing mission as well!!! Glad to hear that people are creating custom scenarios.
  8. I'm glad to here that some old CMers are enjoying ToW!!! I've been playing the CM for 8 years, but I love ToW. It has the potential to be a great game if we build enough of a community to support it.
  9. Hey MD, have you given ToW a try? I'm curious what your take is? -Zach
  10. If you played CM regularly like me, the camera will take time to get familiar with. I had a hard time at first...now its second nature... no complaints. I played a CMBB quick battle the other day and the camera gave me fits.... I kept trying to use the mouse wheel. For longtime CMers.... give this game some time it really grows on you!!! It may not be for everyone but if you give it a fair shake it can be very rewarding. -Zach
  11. Awesome armor engagements! And beautiful graphics! But the best part…..the real life squad level tactics are unlike any other game I've played. I place the MG-34 to provide covering fire and split up the remaining squad to flank the enemy position....one group tosses grenades while another assaults the trench with MP-40s.... Infantry tactics are so important in ToW. I never bring my armor forward without scouting thoroughly. I learned this the hard way
  12. I was completely overwelmed when I tried the demo and thought I wouldn't like the game. I even uninstalled the demo the following day. But after spending a few hours with the full version, I couldn't stop playing. I only play veteran difficulty and there is a steep learning curve. But after a few missions, everything clicked for me.... -Zach

I get annoyed every time i hear someone who doesn't have any kind of knowlegde about WW2 go: oh those nazis were bad. I mean not everyone, but only a really small bunch was really nazis in nazi Germany. And as said before if it wern't for the Wehrmacht i would probably be speaking russian and living in a slumcity now. WE have a saying here "The best russian is a dead russian" -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- While I'm sure there remains much animosity between Russia and Finland, this comment seems excessive by any standard....
