  1. Hello Mistsz. Welcome to the forums. Someone can correct me if I'm wrong, but as I remember it, there are no Special Forces/Rangers modules planned at this time but they may make an appearance on both sides as "operatives", in other words, small teams behind enemy lines well hidden and used to spot enemy forces.
  2. I assume additinal plans can always be devised and added to a scenario by some one other than the original designer? If so It'll mean a whole new category of files at the Scenario Depot.
  3. My experience as well. Perhaps exit zones can be reduced so they don't take up an entire edge of the map.
  4. I would assume, with the exception of perhaps a very few abandoned vehicles left by some really bad procratinators, the only parked cars left in a potential battle zone would be those not in working order as any one else would have the sense to get the cars out of there before hand.
  5. If we get the British do we get the Supacat? Now there's a fun vehicle. http://www.supacat.com/mod%20cat%20page.htm
  6. I want to see Germans but I want to see them in France 1944. Will we see WWII before ALL possible CMSF modules are released?
  7. I can't speak for Battlefront but they have implied that since the Combat Mission games sold better in the UK then anywhere else in Europe, a British Army module would make the most sense after the USMC module. But I suppose that it all depends on how well the initial game sells overall.
  8. Since Europa Univesalis III is in stores now I assume we'll see CMSF in stores soon after release. A big change for Battlefront.
  9. Whenever I read about Paradox and Battlefront coming together, I'm reminded the Paradox holds the Squad Leader computer game license. Combat Mission is now a familiar enough brand name that it doesn't need an association with Squad Leader, even though that's sort of where it began. I wonder however, given this partnership, if any more could be done with the "Squad Leader" brand name.
  10. I think the Continental Europeans still have it in them. Notice the recent uproar about the release of a Bader-Meinhoff murderer.
  11. Okay, I was trying to resist mentioning this, but I'm giving in to the temptation. Was it this post (originally from a 2004 thread) that got your minds turning or had you already thought of the idea yourselves. Perhaps other games have had something similar. I don't know.
  12. Yeah I was reading it again myself yesterday. Some foreshadowing did take place.
  13. I sent an email to Tom last spring and got a reply. He said his life had gotten very busy but he still played CM (solo) from time to time and maybe if things calmed down he'd return to modding. Let's hope things do calm down. I'm still hoping for that excellent Greek terrain he showed us a preview of.
  14. Not a big point, but I assume with this the AI will be able to move in column down a road effectively.
  15. I'm still wondering if it's been confimed that the main campaign will have the U.S. Army coming out of Iraq and if the USMC and the Brits will be coming from the same direction or a different route.
  16. But does this mean we'll never see a amphibious landing game, say in the Pacific someday?
  17. Okay, Thanks Mikey. Maybe this is a subject best laid buried.
  18. Maybe there's no real way to answer this but this is really just for fun. Say the CMX1 engine was more versatile and you got CMBO and CMAK done by Spring 2003 and were going to do at least one more game on it. Would you have done CMSF anyway?
  19. So would you say the difference is not that great and may be insignificant in the release version of Vista?
  20. Nah, there's been a flood of news compared to Combat Mission Campaigns.
  21. How significant is the speed difference? I will soon buy a new computer and plan on playing CMx2 games ALOT.
  22. I tried a CMAK mod again and it worked for the most part-I must have made a mistake with McMMM the first time. The end of the gun barrel is wrong though. It looks painted over, so there must be a difference.
