  1. Sept 19th is "Talk like a pirate day". Maybe if they release it for download that day it could also be "Talk like a Marine day" assuming of course there is a difference.
  2. Let's see if I can get this out of them.... So have you completely ruled out any pre-twentieth century game or is there some slim possibility of one happening if all else goes as planned?
  3. I am by no means an expert on the current Syrian inventory, but wouldn't the T-80 be a logical choice of something that can be added along with the British Module?
  4. Multi-Man publishing has had my credit card number for the last 18 months for the board game Panzerblitz: Hill of Death. It is a business model that has been succesful for them and GMT. Your right about too much growth too quickly being a killer. It almost killed the company I work for.
  5. Not only will I bet you can, but you'll be able to pit the U.S. against the Brits just as you can do Red vs Red in CMSF.
  6. Holy Speculation Batman! I doubt Battlefront has made any definite plans past: A couple of years back I mentioned the P500 system that GMT (the publishers of the Down in Flames hard copy card game for those who don't know) does and Steve said they had no plans to do anything similar at that time but he wouldn't rule it out entirely.
  7. Actually MikeyD did that for CMAK I believe. Maybe we can talk him into doing something for CMSF.
  8. That's great news. I was begining to think the module after that (i.e. the tentative German/Dutch/Canadians) was just a mirage but it sounds like it just might really come about now.
  9. I'm going by the time between the initial release and the release of the Marines. Much of that time was spent fixing the core engine though. Should we assume the Brits won't take as long, or will they be busy on the WWII game and we won't see the British until at least Oct '09. Maybe no one know yet.
  10. Is this an estimate by their staff or does somebody know something? Only someone at Battlefront can squash this rumor. Let's see what happens.
  11. Since they're saying no new terrain in the Marine Module. I'm afraid that may very well mean no new flavor objects either.
  12. I hear Moon has a big dog so I would stay away.
  13. There was some talk of the Infantry Brigade Combat Team TO&E being made available some time in the future. Any chance of that still happening?
  14. I like most of what you mention but I bet placeable casualties will never happen. I'd like to see the small vendor stalls you see in third world cities on many street corners. Maybe that's what you mean by carts. You can place a bunch together to make a market place that really looks like a marketplace. Satellite dishes also come to mind. They're more common in the third world then some might think. Edit: Posted before I read Splinties entry about satellite dishes.
  15. John, where did you find it? If on the web can you provide a link? Thanks
  16. The Battlefront team has been very quiet lately. I'm going to go out on a limb and predict they'll give us a big surprise soon such as WWII game screenshots. -Or maybe they're just taking some time off.
  17. That should be whet my appetite. (smile). Oh, and nice video.
  18. Are you sure you used the Battlefront patches as opposed to the Paradox patches?

  20. No one else answered so I'll give my guesses. I've also wondered if they'll retrofit water. I suppose it'll be possible but they'll only do it if it doesn't take a lot of time. It would be a nice addition to, say, the British module. I don't think we'll see amphibious vehicles for a very long time. Probably not until we have a game where they would be important such as the Pacific. I do see rafts and boats again however. Swimming? No, I doubt we'll ever have swimming infantry. I suppose it could be done with rifles but it's so rare it would make the game less realistic rather than more IMHO.
  21. I agree probably nothing will be announced this year but this post sounds promising.... The exact nature of the Module that follows Brits is not something we've finalized yet because we've only taken a superficial look at it. As for moving to the temperate theater, when we do this it will be a new game purchase for sure. The exact composition of forces on each side are not decided yet, but expect at least as much new content as you see in the Modules + the new environment + game engine improvements way beyond the current CM:SF engine's current state at the time. 22. We'll I'm thinking it could be called a Marine "Reserve" battalion or something like that.
  23. First of all I'm wondering if it's been determined if there will be three per squad? Next if there will be three in the normal TO&E I know it's important to some folks to also get a squad with only one so they can do Iraq and other scenarios. Since, I assume this wouldn't be difficult is there any way we can beg you guys to do this? Thanks
  24. Combat Mission: Return to France. -works two ways you know Actually "Combat Mission:France '44" would be my real suggestion.
