So, now I guess I gotta spend half a year traveling to Mordor, to throw a copy of Close Combat into a volcano...

They 'ran' with the rest of the world on their heels, so a little respect for these exceptional soldiers would be appropriate. I know you're just kidding, but still.

The whole communiction from the side of BF is a joke. People can defend it as much as they like, but their PR is not only very bad, it is almost non-existent. I don't buy nonsense like 'they must concentrate on their work', 'new information will only bring discussion and questions' and 'you can tell them how to do things once you have your own company'.
Reading this forum IS like being stuck in a time-loop and the lack of information IS causing speculation.

Utter arrogance. Technically not allowed to say that....

Just would like to say that I've played quite some battles in the past week and I'm enjoying your mod every time. I'm also changing the icons with each battle. Thank you again for a great mod, Mord!

Perhaps because there's a lot of Russian propaganda around at that side, John. They are even talking about 1:1.1 ratio losses (Wehrmacht vs. Red Army). Give it another 10 years or so and they will have rewritten their 'combat history' of WW2. There's even a law against 'belittling' the Russian war effort now.

I think allowing hundreds of thousands of refugees and 'refugees' into the country is the real problem.

Found this on Tank Archives while trying to chase down something else. This is chiefly about MOUT and is essential reading if you would understand how the Soviets dismantled German defenses via CA tactics and organization. They were meticulous.

Personally I think this has gone beyond 'funny'. Are we entitled to more information? Probably not. Would it show some courtesy to the customers to give more information? Definitely. We aren't a bunch of impatient school boys, we are people who have a passion for these games and would like to be kept informed about it's progress. Personally I  think that's not too much to ask.

I'm sorry, but that kind of remark annoys the heck out of me. Getting lots of questions is part of this business and most certainly no problem. Those guys of BF are no pushover and they can take some Flak. Besides, Steve promised to post some screenshots pretty soon. As they say where I live: A man, a man. A word, a word. If you promise something, you have to deliver.

I use 12THSS Camo mix it is a BRZ file so I can't tell if its low quality or not, I've also checked BF repository and CMMODSIII and haven't found anything similar. This was the youtube video I found if anyone is looking deeper into it

Perhaps a taller (heavier) shield would have been more difficult to rotate quickly? Not really convincing, but that's all I can think of. The way the gunner has to bend over when firing also can't have been comfortable. Or perhaps the gunner must have been able to look over the shield from time to time, in order to have a good overview at his target?
Btw, I also ordered that book, George. Thanks for the recommendation. I always appreciate being pointed to a good book, it is hard to keep up with all books that are being published.

Taking what bait? This is not about you. Why should it be about you? And why is 'seeing' you of any importance? Unlike Steve and you are the same person.  You are just picturing yourself as the voice of reason. Which you are not. People are asking justified questions and in return calling them sad or pathetic IS arrogant. If screenshots are announced and promised, but nothing happens for more than a month, than there is something wrong with communicating from the side of BF.  Time and  time again reading the same old 'information' is getting on people's nerves. That's quite normal.
And another thing. This forum needs a Young Guard, since the Old Guard is pretty decimated. So let's welcome their comments and questions and make them feel at home, so they will stay with us.
