    1) Its not released yet and has been worked on for quite a while.
    2) Its kind of poor form to use a company's game forum to advertise a competitor's game.
    3) Even if you lacked the common courtesy about posting a link to the game, it probably be in the General Discussion forum
Despite that, I played the free version a lot and it has a lot of potential.  Its been in development a long time and am hopeful it is nearing release.

To be fair, Game of Thrones is an adaptation of a book series. They couldn't just end it in the middle of the series. Although, I will say that the quality of the show decreased sharply after they outpaced George R. R. Martin's writing.

You´re not pedantic but just wrong.
The term "terrorist" has absolutely nothing to do if wether a conflict is hypothetical or not but is defined by the means of "terror" someone uses to reach his goals, like specifically targeting civilian population with bombings in order to inflict fear or dissent for example. Politically of course it is often used to (incorrectly) disgrace organizations or individuals which the other side would probably call freedom or resistance fighters.
Regarding the rest you´ve wrote there. I think you got something completely wrong here. Organizations like the German RAF or the Irish IRA are also commonly designated as terrorist groups, so what in the hell has this suddenly to do with the skin color? No offense, but next time spent at least some time contemplating before posting, for your own good. Also nobody with at least minimum cultural aspiration describes Middle Eastern ethnicity with "brown people".
    Back to topic:
Yeah also hope that Combat Mission Shock Force 2 will see success (I am pretty optimistic that his indeed will happen) and see further expansions.

Personally, I agree with some of what Carl has to say, but his delivery and demeanor suck. The good points he might make get buried by his attitude and combative nature. He's rude and obnoxious when there is no need to be and this thread is a perfect example. There's a fairly defined demilitarized zone between rabid fanboy and bitter troll and an objective thoughtful person can usually navigate it without setting off the landmines. Unfortunately, Carl tends to break dance his way through...in clown shoes...on a pogo stick.

Perhaps YOU don't even exist. I don't bloody care. I most certainly don't like your malicious, paranoid comments. I just want to enjoy these great games, get some decent information from time to time from my favorite gaming company and be able to look forward to coming releases.

Actually, it is quite good reasoning. I basically abandoned/put on hold my work on Ithikial's latest project (geared towards Single player) because 'fire few rounds of 60mm and HE, slaughter battalion of rats swarming in the open' was neither challenging, fun, or rewarding as a scenario designer to see. Before you go 'but you can plan the AI now and wait on the patch...' I've been waiting on the patch for quite long enough already, when I have other ideas I want to put down (such as my H2H scenarios in Black Sea) and it makes playtesting impossible, and functionally moving ahead also.
I see no point in pumping out something that will be for all intents and purposes unplayable. Wasted effort. That's what the singleplayer and mapmaking experience is currently like in the series: un-play-able.

Apparently you are too busy being your contrarian self ("opinions that are not my own are rubbish, but do not take me to task for my rubbish opinions") to truly grasp the point being made:
AI is objectively broken, making even the most fine-tuned AI plan impossible to evaluate in testing. This is a direct result of AI cutting and running after the lightest of indirect fires; a botched, if well-meaning, implementation of additional self-preservation features. This guts singleplayer play, and trivializes it. Which brings me back to the salient point of: why bother wasting my time attempting to code AI plans in that environment? Which is a key part of single-player scenario design.
Note I didn't say I've stopped designing maps or indeed even scenarios for head to head; which if you spent more time walking around with your eyes open you'd have noticed: a map has been published and a second scenario based on another's map is currently being playtested. I don't make maps for the piss of it, I create them for a scenario, and the current singleplayer projects I was helping create are impossible to evaluate with 4.0 in its current form. Was the AI plan trash, or did the human tester fire some off-map 105 and make an entire platoon cartwheel into a MG? Do I need to draw a picture for you?
Yawn. Not when the issue is fundamentally beyond the scope of a scenario designer.
Next time you have a go at me, or decide to call something I say rubbish, make sure all your synapses are firing, your contrarian drivel is truly starting to bore me now.

Without trying to patronize that example I could see a green soldier firing a panzerfaust in a building and back blasting a comrade. Firing hand held AT in a building was implemented some time ago with penalties to condition. I've had schreks cause light casualties to squadmates when fired in a building too on occasion.

Sorry to have misled you! I see that they do in CMFB. I've been playing CMFI a lot lately, where they don't, and wrote without realizing they now had radios in CMFB.

Your memory on the Armored Rifle Platoon HQs is not faulty.  It was an error that was corrected.
Mortars have never been able to be in contact in the fire support menu by using the local, temporary C2 feature of an adjacent higher HQ.  IIRC, they must either:
    1. Have a good chain of C2 up through their normal chain of command to a higher HQ with a radio.  In this case that would be the Platoon HQ.  In other cases it might be the Section HQ.
    2. Be equipped with a radio themselves.
    3. Be located next to a vehicle with a radio.
Basically, they cannot leap frog up to a higher HQ and take over their radio for fire missions.  They either need to use their organic C2 structure to receive fire missions or poach a vehicle radio.

It seems weird if the mortars don't stay in C2 based on proximity to their company commander (voice/close visual). But the rules for calling indirect fire are different from the rules for C2--the mortars need a communications link with the platoon HQs calling the fire, not just with the company HQ. The problem here might be that armored infantry platoon HQs, unlike their regular counterparts, don't have radios. So the missing link wouldn't be between the mortars and the company HQ, but between the platoon HQs and the Company. Just a guess.
