  1. I've played ArmA with the SimHQ folks a few times, great time indeed. I haven't gotten around to playing ArmA 2 much online yet. Details here: http://simhq.com/forum/ubbthreads.php/topics/2498856/Want_to_Play_Armed_Assault_2_a.html#Post2498856 I remember playing Red Orchestra with a sorta cross-clans meet-up night, invite only. Didn't have to be in a clan, just needed the invite. It was great since didn't have to join a clan to get the great clan gameplay/teamwork.
  2. I completely agree, this is the number one difference that sometimes gets overlooked IMO. You can usually tell very easily what mode a scenario is designed for or at least tested under. WeGo tested scenarios have much more time than RT mode tested ones. So a RT tested scenario played by a WeGo'er could be very short on time. RT player playing WeGo tested scenario tend to see loads of extra time left at the end of the battle.
  3. If you wizards can stretch the RT replay mode to a full minute. Then guess what, WeGo mode is truely obsolete or doesn't even really exist for that matter. I hereby declare this the future of CM!
  4. Virtually almost every battle I've played I wanted to rewind to see something I missed. Only 20 seconds rewind time would be huge IMO. Not to mention that it's pretty apparent that RT mode is more widely used than WeGo. At least for SP, since most MP is played PBEM.
  5. Check the eLicense FAQ here: http://www.battlefront.com/helpdesk/index.php?_m=knowledgebase&_a=view&parentcategoryid=2&pcid=0&nav=0 If no help there, then submit a ticket here: http://www.battlefront.com/helpdesk/index.php?_m=tickets&_a=submit
  6. Which is right here: http://shock.military.com/Shock/videos.do?displayContent=206735&page=1 On that last truck it seemed the guy waited for the enemy to dismount and then took it out. Why not just wipe them all out when they stopped and started to dismount. Just hate to see the bastards get away.
  7. Wow thanks JonS, this is a great tool! Makes me think there should be a sticky thread in the "Scenario & Mod Design" forum mentioning best tools to use.
  8. Right, but look how long it took them to add it in, Brits module/update.
  9. I'd imagine none would go over the sides unless the HT is taking heavy fire or KOed. But since vehicle ramps can be damaged in CMSF, certainly possible for troops getting stuck inside with no other option but to bail out over the sides. All for the open top crew animations though, that would look great.
  10. I'd be very surprised if infantry can't ride on tanks. Just don't expect some super fancy animation of the troops hopping on and off. On board field guns are a no-brainer, they'll be there.
  11. On that note, I'd say "your weapons free". Yeah you get the full printed manual in the basic edition. For what it's worth, I played the basic CMSF at 1.10 for several months waiting for the Brits mod to release in order to get the mod bundle. Then onto Marines for like 3-4 months. Then after that onto Brits which I'm still playing through. So there's plenty of gameplay in just CMSF alone. Since you never know, prices could go down or a new mod bundle change when the NATO module is released. Either way, your looking at a win-win situation.
  12. Hehe, yep, looking forward to it too. Especially that telltale sound of "Ping" at the end of a clip for the M1 Garand.
  13. I'd hold off on buying everything at once. Have you tried the demo yet? Do you have much interest in the modern war setting? I know for me, and many others, this was the main reason and not necessarily the bugs in the beginning as to why my CMSF collected dust. I just couldn't get into the modern war setting compared to the WWII lovefest. But I did start to play at 1.10 and never looked back.
  14. Pretty sure if you bought the original digital download version from BF then your download has expired. If so then you have to start a support ticket. http://www.battlefront.com/helpdesk/index.php
  15. Yeah really, I mean come on, they got it made in there. Think about it, free food, rent free, and nobody to bother and nag you.
  16. Only things I watch on commercial TV our Red Wings hockey games(NHL Center Ice package), movies on HBO/Starz/Encore/IFC, or episodes of Family Guy. The rest of commercial TV f*cking sucks, IMO of course. On occasion I'll throw in a DVD/Blue Ray. But I'm a hardcore gamer, so the TV always takes a back seat for my free time.
  17. What in the hell is dash talking about? Edit: Looked at his previous posts, new CMBO player looking for opponents, oops wrong thread/forum. lol
  18. Two things I'd like to see is the ability to put things back. So if you accidentally grab the 1,500 of 5.56mm ammo but meant to grab only 500. Well too bad, your screwed, you gotta hump it anyway. Somewhat related to that, the other thing is some kind of weight/mobility indicator of the unit. Since it's already modeled in the game, why not visually indicate this to the player. Perhaps just a colored number near the units status. Like for example a Veteran fit unit's default loadout could be like 60/100 lbs. and then a Green unfit unit default loadout could be like 50/80 lbs. I'm of course assuming troop quality and fitness directly impact loadout capacity/mobility.
  19. Not to mention this oddity in the TacAI is compounded by the low HE loadouts. I've seen my Scimitar/Warriors almost go through their entire HE loadout trying to destroy just a few BMPs. BFC, please fix or do somefink!
  20. Haha, you gotta admit though, that was a classic. I know of one person who spit out there coffee when he ventured into that Peng thread. Definitely worth the infraction Steve chucked at me.
  21. Ok Poo's Badley, I eagerly await for my opinion. By the way, hows your enima fetish?
  22. Who the hell let him outta the Peng thread? Get back in there ya dingle-berry.
