Nope, this does not work with Vista/Win7. The only known way to take screenshots in-game of CMSF is to use FRAPs. The print screen button use to work like a charm in XP with CMx1 games.

Just saw a Brig. General(? forgot his name) on CNN talking about this video. He said ground forces were receiving fire for four hours prior. They also observed insurgents being dropped off and picked up by..... guess what.... minivans.

This is not as bad as it appears. First off, it sure is nice having text-pointing over the video telling us these are cameras strung over their shoulders and not weapons. Is it really that discernible in the video these are not weapons? No it is not and considering that two clearly have AKs and a third with an RPG, understandable these are assumed weapons as well. Whats most disturbing is engaging the unmarked minivan, certainly seems overkill. Also very disappointing is the pilots unprofessionalism and their eagerness to kill. I know it is not popular to say since the Iraqi journalists are dead, but it's not very smart being that close to armed insurgents. Especially if there's fighting going on in the area. Speaking of which, we know very little of the big picture here, how hot was it? Was there small arms skirmishes going on? Was a convoy indeed ambushed at all? How close was the ground element? As it is now, it's somewhat out of context.

I don't see why you guys are getting so bent outta shape over this. It's just a matter of the way its worded. Somebody calls it a "design failure" fine whatever, another way to describe it is an "odd omission" or "a step back". But we all agree it should be in the game. After all it's just a minor tweak to improve the UI. Besides look at the rest of the RTS market, many of them have great UIs due to the genre being so old. Love it or hate it, the CM series is very similar when it comes to incorporating a UI. There's really no need for BF to try and reinvent the wheel.

Ok so it's the Survivor show meets the SpecOps show. Looks pretty cheesy to me.

Basically bring back the way it was in CMx1. I have no idea why the CMSF UI doesn't give an immediate headcount of your unit. There's times when I have to actually count the weapons to know how many are left in the unit.

Also when using the shift-left click and drag box to highlight multiple units and give a group move order. All the units move waypoints get clumped together. They don't maintain their spacing like in CMx1 games. It defeats the purpose of using group orders, especially with the inability change/edit waypoints. As it is now I end up giving waypoints for each unit separately, very annoying.

Anybody else notice the difference in reaction between the visual bone and QB bone thread. The screenshots really do get people excited and get the blood pumping. I mean that Priest shot makes you wanna just jump in and start lobbing shells somewhere. Since we have Steve here for the time being, I can't help but get greedy. How about some pics of the krauts and maybe some action pics? How about a MG-42 rocking & rolling?

I was surprised to hear it took you this long. Why isn't the BF blog used much? We could use mini-bones, quick PR shots of like a few sentences every now and then, only takes a minute. This would shut us all up and put a smile on our faces.

It'll take awhile to get to know the characters a little bit, at least the ones that don't die. We've all probably seen BoB at least a few times through by now. I recall a bit of who's-who in the first few episodes of BoB as well.
