  2. I played the campaign when CMBN came out so don't recall it. But, you can't do better than Total Victory. After that you'd want to be taking less than 10% casualties, (as few as possible of course). The problem with CM2 game scoring is that it is very "unstable." Many times when I play a CM2 scenario, I find the difference between a loss and a big victory may be only a few men.

  6. You make a good point that one should make an "support philiosophy" before one starts. I found I was wasting a lot of support ammo by starting on a target with 81mm and then getting heavier and heavier as it seemed like the Taliban were "indestructible" to smaller calibres - even when simply being in trees(!) As I mentioned, I had F16's drop big munitions creating two massive holes in a treeline only a couple dozen meters apart... and there was still Taliban left alive between those holes - and they shot two of my Brits in the back as they carefully hunted from one hole to the next!

  9. DLH is a v good campaign. The trick to make games hard is to set yourself low casualties (<10%) as your primary goal. Courage & Fortitude is probably the hardest of all.

  12. In CMSF and CMA you have to find the savedgame folder and delete files manually. Do you not have CMSF Game/Game Files folder on the Mac?

  16. You could also try putting the waypoint in the center of the space. Sometimes the pathing is very sensitive as with bridges.
  17. That is interesting. The question for CMBB is whether that above is modeled. It makes the 76.2mm T34 and KV1 look useless. However, they were successful in RL, so what gives?

I have been experimenting with this phenomenon multiple times in a scenario and certain units definitely can see/target whatever you want to call it further (through fields etc.) than regular inf equipped with binocs. I encourage anyone who is interested to simply TRY it for empirical evidence. If you don't care, then, don't. Saves a lot of hot air.
  19. womble, the LOS issue is also true for FO's and HQ's (and I think snipers) etc. When in the same spot, they can definitely TARGET further than regular troops (all with binocs). Since there is no actual "line of sight" command like there was for CM1, we're talking semantics. And like I said, anyone can easily test this for themselves if they care about the issue.
