Can log in to forum, but not repository . . .
Gpig replied to Gpig's topic in Combat Mission: Shock Force Tech Support
I'm experiencing serious weirdness with my "log-in" status. I can log in to the forum, but when I get to this page (and this thread), and hit "New Reply" to respond to Elmar's helpful message, the error page comes up telling me I'm NOT logged in. Odd. When I try to register a new Log in name and password at the Repository page, it tells me login name and password already in use. Yeah, no kidding. By ME! Then I try to log in a NEW password and get this error message: "Login has been refused by anti spamming system (securityimages)" Whatever that means. A little strange. Any ideas? Cheers, Gpig -

RAMADI (Iraq): Mother of All MOUT Maps
Gpig replied to LongLeftFlank's topic in CMSF Scenario and Mod Design Forum
Now that is dedication to a task. Amazing map. Artwork, really. Cheers! Gpig -
Just wanna say, that shot you got of the Hummer turret gunner going to town with his M4 is awesome. It's like a shot from a "Zapruder" type film. The man on the grassy gnoll, or somefink. On a more serious note, does the turret gunner get a cover bonus while in that position? He's even "hull-down," so to speak. Love it. Thanks for doing this AAR Snake_eye. Gpig

Yeah, I imagine it would be a tough to implement. Fun to imagine. What would you do if the medic also got shot during his buddy-aid-run? Then you'd have to do it again, and again. It's sort of a "beyond-the-scope" of the game, type issue. Gpig

That WOULD be awesome! I picture is roughly like this . . . Covering fire . . . By brzzt at 2010-05-25 Medic/buddy sprints short distance . . . By brzzt at 2010-05-25 Grabs wounded soldier by pack/foot/nose . . . By brzzt at 2010-05-25 Drags him to cover . . . By brzzt at 2010-05-25

So . . . hows Normandy coming?
Gpig replied to Chad Harrison's topic in Combat Mission Shock Force 1
It's almost ready, but will only be sold in the Pas-de-Calais area. There is already an aggressive marketing campaign underway for local consumers. -
Excellent, thank you. Love seeing the FN-FAL with scope in the hands of the fighters. M-16 as well. Really cool. The desert hats w/brims on the airmobile troopers (SF?) are cool as well. Gpig

First NATO screenshots are here!
Gpig replied to Battlefront.com's topic in Combat Mission Shock Force 1
It flies UNDER the map, it's Nap Of The Earth is SO extreme. So no need to model it. Well, I guess you have to model the fountains of sand and rock as it's missles erupt from the ground on their way to the target. -

Heh heh. I thought I'd leave the first replies to the experts. ;-) Excellent pics. Can we get some hockey sticks in the stowage areas? *kidding* Gpig -
Woah! Nice. Are these images / models works in progress? Or are the the final textures/skins etc.? Cheers, Gpig

Any way to trade RPGs from one unit to another?
Gpig replied to noxnoctum's topic in Combat Mission Shock Force 1
One way is to find the dead RPG gunner and do buddy aid on him with the squad that's missing the RPG . . . they might just pick up his RPG and viola! Ready to rock and roll. This *might* work if your squad with an RPG launcher and no rockets performs buddy aid on a man/men with left over ammo, but I don't know. Good luck, Gpig -
Hello, I'm having a whirly-gig with the map editor and trying to make a couple scenarios. I've got a couple dim-bulb questions... 1) What is the biggest map size you can create? Was it 4km x 4km? 2) Has anybody created a "mini-campaign?" Small maps. Small number of forces. Kind of like a "byte-battle" ala Der Kessel's website, but more of a "byte-campaign." Is it theoretically possible? 3) can you get U.S. troops (Army or Marine) without Javalins and AT4s and other shoulder launched weapons? I tried to reduce their equipment and quality, but they still come loaded for bear... Cheers! Gpig
