  1. I think Grabner may have mis-read the ingredients . . . It's TWO parts fire, and ONE part recon. (And less ketchup)
  2. Find them here: http://www.battlefront.com/index.php?option=com_content&task=blogcategory&id=273&Itemid=459 Then keep reloading the page til you hit pay-dirt. Gpig
  3. Absolutely. Thank you for creating and delivering so much satisfying leisure time for me. Happy to support you guys. Gpig
  4. Wow! Excellent pics. Thanks for posting them. I love how the men seem to look around in all directions. Some looking backward at their fellow troops coming up from behind. The Tank commander with his hands on the cupola is a nice touch. Pistols, men working the bolt on their rifles, awesome stuff. I spotted the TIGER tank in the background, too. Do I get a free copy of CMBN? Cheers! EDIT: In the 11th screen-shot, is that man on the far right equipped with a rifle grenade?
  5. Heya Bil, I'm not at EA, but another studio in Gastown. (Check your mail) We should start some PBEM games once CMBN is out. We can compare notes over beers sometime. Cheers, Gpig
  6. Yes. I was curious because basements would be an interesting thing to implement for game-play. I suppose it could be quite difficult to implement effectively, as well. I was reading about how the Germans, north of Falaise (in Tily-la-Campagne), had reinforced the basements and then demolished the upper storeys of the houses. Creating low bunkers in effect. Not an easy place to assault. Gpig
  7. Elvis, when you entered the town, did you happen to notice if any of the houses had basements? ;-) I'm guessing that since the CMSF style ditches/trenches are out, that basements will also be out. (The frame-rate hit on below level deformations is a big deal.) Still, I wonder if BFC will be adding basements (and eventually sewers) to CM2... is that something you or BFC can comment on? Cheers, Gpig
  8. Under the MENU button, there are a bunch of sub-menus. Save, cease-fire, conditions etc. One of them is HOTKEYS, I believe.
  9. A picture is worth a thousand green dots. Thanks, akd. Does that mean that the squad is effectively OUT of command for the battle because it's Plt HQ is no more? I see that the squad selected has no visual/voice/eyeline/radio or anything in it's command panels. Will the Coy HQ ever influence the squad from it's company? edit: I see from reading above that the platoon creates a NEW plt HQ by assigning a new Plt. leader (next higest ranking platoon member). Cheers, Gpig
  10. You could also play BLUE on BLUE scenarios and RED ON RED scenarios. There are plenty of red v red scenarios and campaigns out there. Less so of the Blue v Blue kind. Gpig
  11. They should still be able to "Mark" mines. (Make the area safe for follow-on infantry to travel through mined area.) They have demolition charges. Good for blasting bunkers, walls/buildings, tanks and men. And hopefully wire and other obstacles. They usually tote about the flamethrowers, as well. (Though not in the first release of CMBN)
  12. Hello! Would you consider making a version of this scenario for the Base game (Shockforce) and Marines? I don't have the Brit module. Gpig
  13. Congrats on the great DAR, Elvis. It was great fun to read. Gpig
  14. Congrats on the swell DAR. It was a blast to read everyday (and night). Gpig
  15. Hmmmm . . . I wonder why Horrocks' XXX corp didn't rig up some Sherman's with that kind of fork thingy . . .
  16. I feel that it's possible now to re-create Polder. Wet or "Mud" could suffice to represent low fields between raised embankments/roads. But perhaps you are right in that Polder requires it's own terrain type... I'm curious as to how "mud" will be added to the game (if at all). I recall that CMBB and CMAK had it as an option. Nothing visual was represented, but your vehicles would likely bog as soon as you went off the road (and even sometimes when ON the road). Looking forward to creating many battles with this game. Gpig
  17. Very Interesting. It really adds to the feel that each sub-element of a unit (and it's performance) matters. This can produce very believable results and outcomes. I assume a tank commander can still look behind, left and right . . . in opposition to whichever way the turret is pointed. Just like in CMSF? In WWII it may well be very difficult for a TC to see very much at all, eh? Cheers, Jon
  18. I was reading an account in Donald Grave's book "The South Albetas." During fighting around Bergen Op Zoom (Holland), a dazed trooper was retreating on foot after having his tank shot out from under him. He saw another tank with what looked like a driver struggling to escape from a front hatch. Once he got closer he realized it was internal munitions still cooking off inside, jostling the hatch. The driver long since dead. I can't even imagine some of the horrors these guys would have to face. The fear of ending up in the same boat. And going through it for a year solid (or longer for most).
  19. I'll see if I can put together a visit. Thanks for setting up a preview! Cheers, Gpig
  20. I've been testing out Storyline B(3), "Letters from Home." I like how the specified MG gunner is less responsive to movement orders (due to recent troubling news from the home front), but he takes out and reads his letter WAAAAaaaaay too often. At turn 15 of my recent PBEM, he takes out and reads that damn letter 6 times in one minute! Same animation, repetitive motion. Not too believable if you ask me. Especially for a paratrooper. Please fix or do somefink
  21. Man on the right: "I'm glad there is no windscreen in this kit. I ALWAYS get glue on the windscreen."
  22. I do. But I never used it after the FIRST time. Good way to get your men massacred, IMO.
