  1. Thanks. #&^% that! Get the game! It's the same old ^%$# that's been spoke a thousand times. There's Uncons that need killin' and Infidels that need that need jihading! Plus they just put out a patch. Mord.
  2. LOL. No. I mean't the "Kick your friend in the head and have a ball" line. Mord.
  3. Very nice, Bootie. I enjoyed it. It's amazing how much history is around us if we bother to look. GREAT job! Mord.
  4. Kick your friend in the head and have a ball! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LWCOqNHzM0k Let's keep it traditional! I hate Numetal! One song per post. Mord. P.S. You get a like if you can name the lyrics in the first line of this post without googling!
  5. Apparently the Photos app has replaced Movie Maker. I just did a cursory preview of it and it does contain what looks to be an easy to use text tool. You can right click a video and select "open with Photos" and it'll put you right in the editor. Worth a look I suppose. I didn't spend much time but it looks like it might be a watered down version of MM. The editor has tabs for adding speech and music, themes, etc. Here's a pic. I always assign Media Player as my default video viewer whenever I set up a new comp and apparently missed this (I believe it is the default on fresh Win installs). I actually ran into it a week or so ago by accident and didn't pay any attention. A search just now to see if I could find a download for the old MM brought up the info that Microsoft replaced it with "Photos". That sure screams "video editor" doesn't it? Not like they went out of their way to advertise this feature. LOL. I guess I owe Bill an apology...yeah, that ain't happenin'. Mord.
  6. They discontinued it with Win 10. Just like they screwed up Sound Recorder with Win 8. You know, creating a better user experience for the consumer. Mord.
  7. BTW. Great map, Mikey. When I first scrolled down the page I thought that was a blurry photograph of a real place that you were gonna tell us you used as a guide for making real life terrain. Mord
  8. That wasn't me. Ian hacked my Photoshop. Mord.
  9. Ha HA! "So, for anyone keeping count, that's a red dirt tile, with half a house in the action spot, a low wall, two trees, a shed, some brush, and an extra tall grass and weed tile bleeding into it." You can see some just to the right of the shed and in the background. I'll take me apology in triplicate! Mord. P.S. But what I did forget to add to the mix was the ground condition settings.
  10. I was over-sharing—had to dial it back. I have that rant at least twice a year in real life. I friggin' despise incompetence, especially when it's on purpose! A-H WTF?! I am screwed when I want to hear The Cars. Mord.
  11. Tint [sepia] Emphasize FilmPass ColorMatrix GaussianBlur Colourfulnes That's the base that I use. Try them and add or subtract as you see fit. But they are a good starting point. Plus Best/Best and AA on, in CM settings. Mord.
  12. Nope. It's basically a mod for when you have a lot of Uncons/Fighters in a scenario. Mord.
  13. You're welcome, George. Very happy to see all the people showing up in this thread who have either tried it for the first time or gave it another try because of the post. Mord.
  14. When'd you get back? Did you get the game? Mord.
  15. I am gonna do the same thing I did a few years back when this argument came up. Here's a pic. Now, I challenge anyone to tell me how the UI is supposed to explain this terrain in a simple picture or label that noobs (or anyone else for that matter) will completely understand. There's a HUGE difference between the terrain in CMX2 and CMX1. The combination possibilities are massive. So, for anyone keeping count, that's a red dirt tile, with half a house in the action spot, a low wall, two trees, a shed, some brush, and an extra tall grass and weed tile bleeding into it. There's no label that will fit. "Red dirt" doesn't cut it, there's a house and trees and a wall. "Red dirt with house" doesn't fit, there's trees and a wall. Nor does "red dirt with trees", etc. etc. Now multiply this ONE tile (with this particular combination of objects) by the twenty-three other ground tiles that could realistically replace "red dirt". That's twenty-four combinations just for this one picture. BUT that's only a one story house. That's only two trees. What about a two story house? What about three trees? Or one tree? Or bushes instead of trees? Or bushes instead of trees with a tall wall? See where I am going here? The only way it flies (without going crazy with descriptions) is if the tile is a completely plain version of itself; red dirt with nothing else, tall grass with nothing else. Other than that, WTF? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cBIUKPeq4Y0 Mordest Gump.
  16. SWEET work, Pete! Great job, buddy! Thanks! I wish BF would consider doing a pack of just flavor objects or adding them into a pack. They could do one modern and one WWII. Mord.
  17. Mattis and Ian got it right. I only made multiple versions because I figured people who may only own one (the horror!) or two titles wouldn't find the mod if it was only say, for BN or RT. Because I am an obsessive and completest freak, I may do a version for SF2 just because it'll probably drive me crazy if I don't. But really all that would be is a splash screen saying it's for SF2. And for future reference, all your generic sound files (shots, explosions, vehicles etc.), voices (as long as that nation is represented in the title), and bmps like explosions, smoke, fire, compass, etc. are interchangeable with all the titles. There are minor exceptions, such as an MG42 file working in SF2 but that's about it. Think of it this way, if it isn't specific to one country or time period or another, it'll most likely work in all the titles. Mord.
  18. Voodoo... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CgblXur8FiI Try replicating it in the editor, see if it was a one off or not. Mord.
  19. That's not too bad. Could've been worse. Well, regardless you got it working so that's all that matters. Mord.
  20. I've missed tons of threads, no big deal. Just thought it was funny you went down a rabbit hole. How long did you search around the net? Mord.
  21. LOL. You should have. It was right here. Mord.
  22. Far left, center of the pic's edge. Yeah, that's cool. I picked up on all those my first night with the game. I went into the editor and searched out all the vehicles to see what was added. If I remember correctly, the Syrian Reserves or Militia were also given technicals. I don't think that was in SF1. Also they added a new OpFor supply truck. And the old blue car got a paintjob. Btw. I reported this to Sburke but I wanted to mention it again, Syrians have no armor portraits at all, the US Army isn't using its armor portrait, and the Syrian Spies are using regular Combatant and Fighter portraits instead of their own spy portrait. Mord.
