  1. Just in case you are unaware, H2HH = Head to Head Helper
  2. Playing three games, two CMBN and one CMFI, all using H2HH v2.5.0 and Dropbox.
  3. The little square is actually the Head to Head icon. It's a symbol of an Allied and an Axis soldier. Not sure what the red and white background is.
  4. Here's something from the archives: (how many names do you recognize) http://www.battlefront.com/community/archive/index.php/t-11201.html
  5. Wikipedia: World War II The first fifty production M18 57 mm cannons and ammunition were rushed from the factories to the European Theater in March 1945. Further examples were subsequently sent to the Pacific Theater. The first combat the new cannon saw was with the U.S. Army's 17th Airborne Division near Essen, Germany. While impressed with the performance of the high explosive (HE) warhead, the M18's 57 mm HEAT round proved to be a disappointment, with only 63.5 mm (2.5-in.) of armor penetration at 90 degrees, compared with the older M1A1 Bazooka which had a nominal penetration of nearly 120 mm.
  6. Can a PIAT fire from inside a building?
  7. LoL Come on....snake eyes! And the unit goes berserk. Speaking of which, do units in CM2 ever go berserk? I know they did in CM1.
  8. Great article on how CM started up, thanks Lt. There's even a picture of a couple of young pups. Charles and Steve I wonder if they know there's a Mk3 sneaking up behind them. Actually, they're probably there to buy the thing. I'll bet there's some grey in that red beard nowadays.
  9. Send an email to GaJ. He'll set you up.
  10. I was just taking a trip in the wayback machine and found some interesting links. Battlefront 1999. First before you can play the game you'll need, for Windows: Windows 95/98 Pentium (P5) 166MHz w/3D card Pentium (P5) 200MHz w/o 3D card 32MB of RAM 50MB of Hard Disk Space (est.) CD ROM drive DirectX 6.0 compatible video card DirectX 6.0 compatible sound card 28.8 modem for multiplayer I remember these scenes blowing my socks off. And one of these guys even has a mustache. Wow! (There is information there that I miss in CM2) And there's snow! Although I couldn't find Waldo and I did spot the Panther hiding behind the trees. Here's the link to the Battlefront Archive (or should I say Big Time Software). http://web.archive.org/web/20000303205541/http://www.battlefront.com/index.html Some great names blasting from the past there. And this one: http://web.archive.org/web/20000304195452/http://combathq.thegamers.net/ (What did ever happen to Madmatt?)
  11. How do you post a picture other than the small attachment that "Manage Attachments" allows you?
  12. Ah, I got it. My problem was I was trying to delete objective squares while I had the "Show All" button pushed. You must click on the objective number. So when you open a canned map and go to terrain objectives, you must first click the "Obj 1" button before you can delete anything. And yes you just click on them again and they turn neutral. Thanks ASL.
  13. In creating a scenario I placed terrain objectives that I know want to change. How do I clear them?
  14. There is an excellent scenario organizer created by Mad Mike over at GaJ's Mods Warehouse. I download all scenarios and then sort them (and play them) using this tool. "Description: A tool that will create a sortable listing of all scenarios (btt files) in a given directory. The program will automatically read out parameters like battle size, date and time of day for the scenario, its duration, the weather etc. The resulting listing can then be sorted for these parameters. In version 0.2, a sortable listing for campaigns can be created as well. The tool will also extract the individual scenarios from a campaign, making them playable in CMBN independently of the campaign and even allowing for changes in the Scenario Editor. The campaign script is visualised in the generated campaign listing, providing an overview of the connections between battles in a campaign." 15. 56 last August Dave, I started the exact same way. I think I collected them all as they came out. D-Day, Anzio, Jutland, 1914, Waterloo, Africa Corps, Gettysburg, 1776 and as you say many others.....(did wonders for my Geography classes in school) then on to PanzerBlitz, Squad Leader and Advanced Squad Leader. Thank goodness for Battlefront (and computers), Squad Leaders' rule book was killing me. I've been around here since before the Alpha game came out. When that first Alpha scenario, (in the snow, crossing the frozen river) came out, well, the evolution of war gaming increased by an order of magnitude. Can't wait for Battlefront to come out with tabletop 3D war gaming
  16. What about the Allied use of gyro stabilizers to help them shoot on the move?
  17. What is the distance or radius that there are mines around the mine marker? (or does a mine marker represent one mine?) I'm not exactly sure how they work.
  18. Yep, that's what I figured as far as the setup goes but I wasn't sure if the German default was guided towards AI reaction in one direction. Thanks M1, look forward to starting the scenario.
  19. M1, (Possible Spoiler) - - - - - - - - - - I'm playing as the Germans in a PBEM. Under "Objectives" you give the two main ones and "Other Objective" but on the map I don't see any "Other Objective". Are the Germans supposed to know what the Other Objective is or is it one of the "unknown" type? Also the Other Objective gives a point value "xxx Each". Are there more than one? The tactical map doesn't show which direction the Allies will be attacking from and the Briefing doesn't describe it either. The obvious is from the North and perhaps North-West but the Axis setup zone doesn't cover all the South and South-West. Does that mean the Germans need to be prepared for an attack from these directions too? If not I would hate to freeze units in positions to block an attack from these directions that never materialize. Perhaps, of course, the intent was to keep the Germans guessing? If you feel you may give away a spoiler to the Allied side please felel free to email me at tramos1 "at" optonline "dot" net
  20. Yes patched and upgraded. And I've started a PBEM. Perhaps you need 2.0?
  21. I downloaded it also. It seemed to create an Amfreville folder within the Scenario folder. The Amfreville folder contained, along with the .btt, other information, pictures and such. I had to take the .btt file out of the Amfreville folder and drop it directly under the Scenario folder.
  22. Which enhancements gives a tank a greater degree of rate of fire and accuracy? Experience Motivation Fitness Leadership What would you consider good tweaks for a tank for a quick battle?
  23. Will do. (Well, maybe I can use it as an excuse to bail out when I'm getting my butt kicked. "Oooops lost the notes!")
