  1. Right now I only have the two files in my dropboxes, mine and my opponents, but that's because I just deleted all the earlier files. This is my log as of this morning: Done. Tidying up dropbox... Done. --- Checking game status for Casa Nostra most recent incoming: 26, most recent outgoing: 27 Checking game file folder for Casa Nostra... checking for messages... most recent dropbox: 27 ... nothing to be done. Tidying up CMBN email folders... Done. Tidying up dropbox... 2. Yep, the dropbox. Incoming /outgoing works fine.
  3. I'm playing Fight at Vallebruca now as a matter of fact. It's early yet, the fifth or sixth minute, but it must be evenly matched because both my opponent and I think we have too few men.
  4. I'm three for three. Not that's a big hassle or anything to go in to the dropbox and delete files. Just thought I'd point it out. And let me point out too that if anybody is playing PBEM you really should be using H2HH. It makes life so much easier.
  5. GaJ, I'm running 1.5.4. I added CMFI but the games I play under the CMFI tab do not "Tidy" the DropBox although that option is checked. Is this fixed in 1.7 and where can I find it? Thanks.
  6. How do exit zones work? I'm playing a scenario where there is an Exit Zone. I move my troops to the green exit strip zone at the edge of the map, specifically the troops that say in the briefing to exit, but I can't give them orders to go off board. What's the trick here? I think I still have my head in CM1 where you give troops orders to move somewhere out in space.
  7. I've started the scenario Beyond the Belice and as the Allies reviewing the tactical map it says I should have 1x60mm mortar as support in the beginning but I can't find it anywhere either on or off the map. I haven't received my reinforcements yet and although the mortar support shows at the start and not at T plus 15 with the rest of the reinforcements, I suppose it's possible it will come with them. Really, I was just wondering if it's my machine, a typo or a bug.
  8. But in this case you know when you found the hidden objective be it a pilot or spy or tactical ground. In a scenario that has hidden objectives do you receive a message that you reached the objective or do you have to wait until the game is over to find out if you occupy the objective or not? If so, does this mean you need to leave leave a team of men at every point that could be a possible objective?
  9. Actually, that does sound a bit like the Army.
  10. I'm playing a scenario where, as the attacker, I have two hidden objectives I need to occupy to gain victory points. There's not much description in the manual about this so I thought I would bring it up here on the forum. Just to get it straight.... Somewhere on the map are two VL's that I can't see. I need to guess what the locations are such as high ground, cross roads, houses or exit area's. More or less I need to occupy all of the above locations and hope one of them is a VL? How do you guys handle hidden objectives?
  11. You know, you can be "nearby" a vehicle and get ammo from it. I wonder what distance is considered "nearby" From the manual: "Note: while soldiers automatically can share ammo without explicitly being ordered to (from nearby vehicles, or from nearby infantry units in their formation, as well as through buddy aid), the Acquire command gives you greater direct control."
  12. Thanks! I notice too American half-tracks often carry bazookas. I just started to acquire the ammunition out of a truck during the setup phase rather than wait until a unit is low or out of ammo and run it back to the truck to acquire more. The manual says units will share ammo if they are within a certain distance of each other. So why not grab what you can at the start? Any idea how much extra ammo becomes detrimental for a squad to carry?
  13. This may be a silly question but I just want to make sure. In a certain German truck I can acquire 7.92 and 9mm rounds. The 7.92mm work with rifles and MG's and the 9mm pistols and MP40's, correct? Are there ever any other ammunition you may find in a German truck such as 'fausts or grenades, that kind of thing?
  14. Spartan, if you're talking about H2HH not picking up the file check out this thread: http://www.battlefront.com/community/showthread.php?t=105590
  15. GaJ, I have H2HH 1.54. Is there a 1.6? If so where would I find it?
  16. I don't know if it's a bug but all my ammo bearers are in the same boat be it mortar, machine gun or cannon. Most of the time I end up using them as scouts. I figured it was a QB thing that they didn't carry ammo. I never created a scenario and was wondering if, in creating a scenario, you give or specify what load outs the bearers carry and that's why in a QB, since no one can specify load outs, they don't carry any extra ammo. And I thought I was the only one scratching my head about this. It would be nice, though, to get some explanation of this.
  17. I'm having the same problem only I have two men left.
  18. This is something odd I've seen once before but now has a new twist. I was wondering if anyone else has seen anything like this. I have a three man bazooka team. During one turn I give orders for them to quick move to a point 20 meters from their position, pause ten seconds, and quick move to a second position another 20 meters away. The bazooka man quick marches, nonstop, away from the two rifle men in the team and the gap widens between them to about 100 meters. I try to give new orders the next turn for the three of them to meet up somewhere in the middle about 50 meters from each. Again, the bazooka man keeps moving forward at a quick march until tired while the two rifle men in the team don't move at all. Now the gap between the riflemen and the bazooka man is some 250 meters. The bazooka man is on the other side of a hedge row from the two riflemen and a quick LOS check using the targeting tool shows I can see everywhere the two riflemen can see and everywhere the bazooka man can see on the other side of the hedge row too. Now comes the odd part. The next turn the two riflemen disappear. The icon is still floating above where they were the turn before but they can't be seen. They can be given orders. In fact any orders line originate from under the icon and nowhere near the bazooka man. I give orders for the invisible troops to move up some 20 meters and, sure enough, the icon above the invisible troops starts moving and the bazooka man decides to start moving towards the way point I just set. Odd.
  19. I'm playing "Warrior" experience.
  20. Sad to hear about the bug but happy it's not my machine. Thanks for the info.
  21. Anybody ever see this? When I click on a full squad and create an AT team the icon shows it's an infantry symbol, not panzershreck or bazooka, and the info box says it's a "Rifle" type team although it shows a two man, panzershreck and assistant, team in the middle info box. With the same squad I then split teams again, all rifles, but gives me a 'shreck or bazooka icon and tells me it's a "panzershreck" team while the other is infantry. It seems confused as to what's AT and what's infantry. Help?
  22. I sent a mortar platoon leader in to a truck and acquired 30 rounds of HE for the mortars. I ran the HQ back to within a few meters of two mortars who have only smoke rounds left. It's been two minutes and the HQ still has the HE rounds. Is there a way to give the HE rounds to the mortars, either one or share them with both?
