Here's screenshots #2 and 3. Maybe they'll eventually show up on an official screenshots site, maybe not. Late war M4A1 Sherman 76 and Pershing during some QB city fighting. Battling Jagdtigers

I had pulled a bunch of screenshots for the guys but I don't know which they're going to use. So I'll post a couple of my favorites here to whet your appetite.
First, a tank I lobbied hard to get into the game - uparmored Sherman! One of a number of late war M4A3E8s that went through a field modification program that literally doubled the bow armor (which is now thicker than the Jumbo's). They acted as substitute/additional Jumbos in field units.

When I first played Pershing in the Beta my response was 'Oh! We've bridged the gap between CM WWII and CM Cold War!"

This is a difference without a distinction. There's functionally no difference between having two reasonable-size games and one mega-game, except the people with no interest in summer 44 France would be compelled to purchase it at an inflated price. How much is the full CMBN bundle? $140? CMFB is $60. You're asking them to charge you $220 whether you want both games or not.

I recall an anecdote. At some point following operation Cobra Patton's advancing army lost contact with the Germans. So he turned to his subordinate and told him 'Take that jeep and drive down the road til someone shoots you, then report their location back to me', or words to that effect. Patton's troops didn't like him much because he tended to conduct his battles like a CM player. 😬

Playing CM requires a certain degree of fatalism. Bad things are going to happen, sometimes its going to be your fault, and oftentimes it was preventable. You just have to accept it.
My advice playing CM (though I haven't said it for awhile) is to play as though YOU are one of the soldiers on the ground. Would I stand up and walk across an open field into the teeth of un-suppressed mg fire? Heck no! Then don't expect your pixeltruppen to do it either.
CMSF2 is a snapshot of history, of a time and a (fictional) war where minimal Blue casualties are expected and a victory with a high body count is considered a grave political disaster. You often receive stiff penalties in-game for exceeding max allowed Blue casualties. You're supposed to feel bad about it. Compare it to CM Red Thunder where life is cheap.

Gotta hand it to Luakshenko, he's managed to not fall out of any hospital windows despite dragging his heels on active war support. I guess his excuse now is 'But you've already taken all of our warfighting stocks!' I assume the Belarus army would be down to five artillery shells total by now.

As someone who DOES basically think the border not being open is close to fascist, you're patently and categorically mischaracterizing the Dems and the state of the border. As someone who has regularly traveled back and forth across it, I haven't the slightest idea what you mean. There's so much law enforcement and much of Republican policy from trump and every previous deportation  happy administration is intact. Biden could put HIMARS and land mines on the border and Republicans would ask why he won't start a special military operation in Juarez.

"border security" is just a hoax to the public. The real reasons for blocking aid to Ukraine is the decline in the popularity of Biden and the Democrats. Democrats know full well that even after they agree to Republican demands for border security, Republicans will still block aid to Ukraine for new flimsy reasons. For example, Ukraine does not have a plan for victory, show us the plan. That's why Democrats are in no hurry to agree to demands for border security.

I'm not sure what you think you are achieving by presenting these background views from the "normal" ?  Ukrainian citizen point of view  ?   Encouraging the idea that  the support of the Ukrainians for this fightback against the Russians is in fact collapsing and  now everyone just wishes to be done with the thing and return to being Citizens of the Greater Russian Empire ? . In other times and other places   comments such as yours would be deemed material evidence of working with the Enemy ?

We might as well throw in Fascist Cuba at the time and the very-nearly-implemented 1933 Fascist coup against the US government by a fellow named Prescott Bush, while we're at it.
