The word 'revenue' is misleading. Gross revenue, net revenue? Profits above operating costs? Profits before subtracting operating costs? Profits not counting debt burden?

This is going to be very random, but last night I was watching a Korean pop music video that just released. It ends with someone driving to a secluded spot. Through the car windshield you can see a distant mountain ridgeline. Suddenly it dawned on me that's the same mountain that's in CMFI mainland Italy! Of all the random places in all the world that they could have filmed, they picked a mountain pass through the Apennines opposite our CMFI mountain! That really tickled me.
If you want to see the MV the title's at the bottom of the Youtube screenshot.

Antartica is Club Med if you compare it with Mars, How many colonies are there on Antartica? Even Australia to work in the arid regions you need a good AC 24/7 and top notch facilities for recreation.

My assumption is that the global pandemic had delayed Putin's original war plan by about a year. Putin had plotted his war-of-plunder in Ukraine under the assumption that *someone else* would be in the US presidency at the time, would have pulled the US out of NATO by then and would have publicly backed him in his war. We were in fact just a few locked doors and a few alert Capitol security guards away from that happening, judging by the growing list of January 6 sedition convictions. A common meme at the start of the war was that Putin had invaded Ukraine on a whim because Biden had publicly said 'unkind things' about him (I recall one Youtube video actually used accompanying CM game footage). You can't have it both ways. You can't blame Biden because he too forcefully warned of the coming war and also because he didn't oppose it enough.

BFC, for several years now, has only offered 'full' downloads. Which means if you purchase the basegame any extra modules, vehicle packs or scenario packs will be included but they're greyed out until you buy an access key. For CMRT this also includes getting access to fall, winter and spring timeframe and the Germany region.

About 'concerted air campaigns' and such, lets remember S300 AA missiles still exist and are the primary reason why neither side overflies the other's territory. Russia's air defenses five months ago weren't quite as attritted and depleted as they are now. The Ukraine air force attempting a 'bum's rush' against Russian positions in the spring would have likely halved their air arm in a matter of days.

I started to watch but it got implausible fast and I stopped maybe 1/3 of the way in.  That's not a trivial depth to work at for SCUBA divers who have to use mixed gases, and the idea that 6 people are going to do it from a 15 m sailboat stretches plausibility.  That the boat will then be left parked on a stand (apparently in isolation?) where it's pristine except for "traces" of explosives (but no other signs that it's been used for a significant SCUBA operation?) is an even bigger stretch.  I might see if I can find the Spiegel article outside a paywall later.  It's faster to read than to sit through video.

MikeyD got a reaction from dan/california in Fire suppression from small arms discussion
Suppression from fire can be related inversely to the experience of the soldier. In WWII NW Europe on the American side it was usually the green replacements who charged forward like John Wayne and as a result they took the bulk of the casualties. It was the core of veteran infantry who better knew when to keep their heads down, nestle behind a terrain feature and pick their shots carefully. Many decades ago I worked with an old former WWII jungle fighter. He had one anecdote about a platoon dug into foxholes on the front line on a dark night. At one point a silhouette of a Japanese soldier was spotted in the darkness going from foxhole to foxhole peering in to see if each was inhabited. The interesting thing was nobody shot him. Why? Because the G.I.s in the holes knew if they suddenly fired their weapon in the dead of night they'd spook everyone around them and attract a blizzard of blind fire from both sides. Taking the shot would have brought unwanted consequences so they let the guy pass by. A green soldier would've probably shot him.

For the sake of curiosity I took a look at that YouTube channel. It seems to be the same two video titles for the last 9 months.
    "Ukraine is about to collapse"
    "Russian Army destroys Ukrainian Army"
    "Ukraine is collapsing now"
    "Russian Army annihilates Ukrainan Forces"
    etc.
Sounds like the German Wochenschau from the 1940s, just replace Russian Army with Victorious Wehrmacht.
Truly, seems to be another Western guy like Scott Ritter who sold himself, body and soul, to Russian media.
Really not worth to check out.

I recall reading in a Vietnam war memoir (so long ago I forgot from where) that flak vests were despised for being a hazard. Wear them in hot sweaty jungle conditions and the vest fabric soon becomes a veritable petri dish of mold, grime and bacteria. Then, when you get shot, the fabric gets pulled into the body cavity, greatly increasing the chance of infection.
My own speculation on the subject, if the vest could only cause a rifle round to tumble without stopping it that would produce much more grievous wounds. This isn't the first time I've heard of soldiers preferring 'clean' uncomplicated wounds that are treatable.

Can you explain further how Russia can dictate terms and bring this war to an end?
Maybe we are missing something that you can explain?

Allegiately an aide to an AfD MP. Not really surprising as AfD is pretty Putin friendly and members of AfD have been visiting Moscow regularly.
It should be mentioned that they are not in power anywhere except some backwater county.
@Haiduk since you complained about "leftist" organizations, I think this should serve as a reminder that it is often the far right that supports Putin - AfD, Orban, Le Pen, Trump, ...

Reminds me the story that Brits now use the term 'plonk' for cheap wine because back in WWI British soldiers in France couldn't understand the French when they said 'vin blanc'.
