One quick note to add. If I understand correctly a battle does not need to be fought using CMBB and can automatically resolved. So if a battalion goes through an quadrant with a platoon that battle can be fought in whatever time it takes for a computer esolution to take place instead of a fulll blown CMBB battle. Of course when a battle is initiated you have no idea if your battalion is facing a platoon or 2 battalions. Perhaps there will be/can be some sort of auto auto battle where you don't even get the choice to fight or not the computer determines it isn't worth playing out. And maybe the platoon can have the option of hiding to avoid detection all together......oh my...I've gone off on a tangent didn't I?

I had only tried the desktop. Using the Start menu the regular "launch T72 demo" does the same thing BUT there is also a "safemode launch T72 demo" that works fine. Thank you very much, Matt!!!!!

It may just be me but....... Demo downloaded. Demo installed. I click to launch the demo and a window opens telling me about the features etc... And I can click to buy now or click to buy later. I click to buy later and nothing happens. I click to buy now and a browser opens to the web site ordering screen but the demo still doesn't launch. Am I doing something wrong?

Dear Joe, Perhaps you are correct on this one. I woke to to find a file this morning which is either CMAK that isn't the latest version OR CMBB and he didn't mention it the email. Either way I was on the fence about continuing after reading the WWF style rant in the email. Now that I think about I may continue just to receive more of them. Love, Elvis

Dear Folks, I recently wrote this in an email to someone I am PBEMing with who is becoming frustrated by the whining on the forum. I have read almost none of the whining because I have neither the time or patience for it: "I'm not letting the whining bother me a bit. And Steve and Company had to have expected it and I would be shocked if they are surprised. If you think about I would wager that a HUGE majority of people found out about CM and became interested in it FIRST because was a WWII tactical level game and second because it was a well done tactical level game. If you stipulate that my last comment is most likely true then it isn't hard to imagine a fairly large portion of people feeling almost betrayed (whether they are valid complaints or not is irrelevent) and in that group you're likely to find some very vocal people....Which seems to be what we're seeing." So my advise folks is to let the upset people be upset and just let it go in one ear and out the other. There is no need to try to "convert" them because by the time the game is released they will probably already have converted themselves. Love, Elvis P.S.
