    I’d be happy to have expanded Italians (flesh out the Sicily ToE, Co-Belligerent, Fascists, Partisans) and Operation Dragoon follow Rome to Victory in CMFI.
    Of course since Canadians went from Italy to North-West Europe for the end of the war there’s no secret for what I want to see in CMFB...

    Hey Guys the ww2 is not finish at all and there is a lot to do before...
    I m not very agree with futurist and experimentals units...CM have to stay realiste like he do it perfectly untill now...I hope...

    And be very curious to see the "link between" all CMs modules and how BF will do it to finish the war...hope to see Remagen bridge... and some actions in France with FFi FFL and Partisans...

        • Spanish civilian war
        • Korea and also the famous 
        • Fulga Gap or let us taking the idea from JoMc67...with a conflict 
        • Usa Allied vs Russia with eventual rearmament from Germany this will be also very interresting and let us enjoy Patton idea.

    In the game perhaps New terrain pack like most of us would like like big factory...
    Including more floatings icons and fix somes bugs I know the patch in on the way...
        • One suprem Hq or command units icon.
        • Detached unit Scout  icon.
        • Perhaps created news icons to make differences between squads with roman number I II III or one two or three blacks points on icons squads something to see the differents squads...
    I think there are enough theatres that peoples would like to see, before starting to go to Mars...
        
    But please dont come with super Maus and others experiences tanks and vehicles... or super soldiers... let please the others games doing it...
    I love CMs for the reality details and I hope this will stay like this...

    Pretty sure that Iraq's CTS would take that allegation rather poorly.....Seeing as over half of them gave their lives to clear Fallujah, Ramadi & Mosul the hard way.

    I would love to see full H2H support for campaigns. Right now the best you can get is a campaign played hotseat multiplayer. In this day and age, having an actual person within easy distance to play games with seems to be very difficult.

    That is just not an accurate picture. In WW2 the crews will pop smoke and withdraw when hit. The trouble is they frequently do not survive that first hit. Couple that with the behaviour that delays said withdrawal if the crew are engaging their attacker. In the modern setting the lazer detection system triggers the withdrawal behaviour. That means tanks in the modern setting more often survive the first shot because they prevent it from happening.
    The crew behaviour is essentially the same but the tech means that more modern crews stay alive to be accused of panicking while more WW2 crews die in place to be accused of stoic bravery.
    I think ken pointed out the error there. Probably the biggest problem with at guns is the move animation means the gun flips around the crew instead of the crew moving the gun. That is a limitation that is not likely going away any time soon.

    On the Imgur page right click on the image and either copy its url or open in a new tab and get it from the address bar or on mobile long click on the image and open it on its own tab, depending on context and browser, then paste it in the message body.


    If the image appears while you edit it will work. If just the link appears then try something else.

    I'm surprised by some of the results too.
    If it was modeled in CM, my test probably wouldn't capture it as the target troops don't shoot back - the gunner doesn't get suppressed. Unless the effect you describe is suppression by their own fire?
    I've never fired a gun in my life, not to mention a HMG (and hopefully never will), so it's hard to imagine what it is like.

    1. Yeah, the 'Ammo Pool' is a little simplified in CM, but it will have to do...Also, and If I had it my way, 'Acquire Ammo' should not be used in a CM Scenario...Things like that should take place in between Scenarios of a Campaign.
    2. That's interesting for sure, and you would think by taking the extra MG from HT Mount, (and thus making it a 2x LMG, 9-man squad) would cost more...An oversight by BF ?

    Re ammo bearers IIRC they have to belong to the same formation - I think that means the same platoon.

    That all depends on your meaning of right It *is* how the game behaves though. It is a game abstraction that lets us not have to care about un-boxing, loading mags, creating belts and all that other boring stuff that soldiers do after they hurry up and while they are waiting.

    Right - I ran a few tests and it's exactly as you say, troops will only take one mag at a time from a friendly unit. The range for sharing seems to be about 2 squares on the map.
    It works differently for MG/bearer teams, MG's preferentially take ammo from the bearers if they can. This made me think that German HMG teams could work differently because they are also subdivided into A and B team (much like the U.S. MG/bearer pair, only both teams now have a MG). But they only share one belt at a time, like "normal" units.

    Hmm wait... does it mean that they won't take any ammo from their friends in the platoon until they run dry, and then only a few mags? That's not very useful,  once the two squads get separated again, or an ammo bearer team moves away from their MG, the unit is soon empty again.
    I understand there is an ammo levelling feature for vehicles that allows e.g. a tank platoon even out their ammo supply. I expected something similar for infantry.
