scottie
Suspect this has been mused over and decided already but if not i suggest the follow jingle from the 101st attack on the SON Bridge: Especially the profanity at the end of course from your very own Elliott Gould (New York). ... CMSF tune was aweful IMO
Sergei
That's not bad, but for some reason Steve went with this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L6n4Y4daiPA Which is a shame, because this would have set the mood so much better:
MeatEtr
Steve has confirmed this will be the intro to CMBN.

Wodin
I just hope it isn't as annoying as CMSF music.....that was the first thing for me to mod...and it was to OFF.

scottie
Good Topic! I would love the opportunity to score the opening screens for CMBN. -Lon Kaiser i agree, lacking new info on the impending product at the moment so trying to keep things around here entertaining at least ... quiet day at work too ...
ZPB II
What? I thought the CMSF jingle was suberb! It reminded me a bit of the music for Desert Combat mod for Battlefield...I have a soft spot for this contemporary-ethnic fusion music. It really conveys the feeling of young men in a foreign country in an intricate fashion.
Gryphonne
I thought the music that was used for CMBN now (if that was actually the music that belonged to CMBN ) was quite nice It was definitely not annoying and fit the theme quite well

Gryphonne
Life is life? It's a favorite of surrendering troops. Blast, Didn't expect it to be that easy for you to find. Now look what I've done: breached the NDA here!

Sergei
I want some Marlene Dietrich.. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MO0lUXnAs-U&feature=related I think Wenn die Soldaten goes very well. Lili Marleen, on the other hand, is too slow for game music IMHO. When CMBN is released I will upload a music mod with the following hits: Splash music: Maurice Chevalier - Fleur de Paris (1944) (fans of The Longest Day might prefer some version of Beethoven's 5th, 1st movement like ) Loading music: AAR music: Ambient sounds are replaced by http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MReV9dkAVhY.

DaveyJJ
I am using this music in my upcoming iPad WW2 tactical combat game for the opening theme ... http://www.productiontrax.com/trackpage.php?id=107712 and for the menu music (just prior to battle starting) this one ... http://www.productiontrax.com/trackpage.php?id=60533 Thought the first, especially, evoked the heroic yet calm sense of battle I wanted as a theme.

MeatEtr
Speaking of music, Sam Hulik who did the Mass Effect series, is now doing Red Orchestra 2: Heroes of Stalingrad. Here's some samples of it, sounds great: http://samhulick.com/music-all/rohos I think this guy could make some great intro music for CMBN or any future CM release.
Paulverisor64
Personally I like the idea of music accompanyment from the sounds of the time from either side of the battlefield. I think that classical music might be less distracting but other sounds might come across just as good. I do think the songs from Marlene Dietrick would be a good choice, but if something like this was used it would be nice if there was a random play of other songs as well. Big band music might also be a good choice from the US side of the battlefield.

I happened to like it as well, perhaps because I've been deployed to the Middle East.
