  1. John from Support got back to me and I simply had to run the activation .sh script (using Terminal ./Activate...) and enter each of the serials. Worked perfectly. Thanks Sgt, John and Battlefront crew.
  2. Great. I actually finally (after 7-1/2 years) got myself a new machine (i7 4.2GHz) that can do the games justice. Finally. (Setting it up has been a two day headache, but worth it ... Apple just works, my fanny.) I had basically not run the games in a year or two because of the serious lack of performance. Today, I bought and downloaded the 3+4 updates for CM:N and CN:I but also have a license for market Garden, Commonwealth Forces, and Gustav. Everything looks sweet on this new machine. However, when I updated the games they now (obviously) don't have the extra content showing ... so explain to this old guy, do I have to also buy the Big Update? Seems like I'll be paying twice for the main updates. Thanks.
  3. Wow. Compared to Macisle's screen shots, mine look like an early 1990s arcade game. Macisle, what sort of system are those taken from and what resolution?
  4. The Canadians will also swear a whole lot more than other units.
  5. I can't find the OSX version of APOS ... someone provide a link? *ducks with flame-proof suit on* Happy holidays, everyone.
  6. Never ASL, even though I'm a tactical-level grognard from the early 1970s. Never felt that complexity = reality. Combat Commander series in my current hex and chit fix (generates great narratives), although I am a die-hard and utterly rabid Up Front fan/player (a game I consider the finest wargame ever produced). The CM series is the finest WW2 tactical game of all time, I'd argue. Can't wait to finally get some Canadian action happening with the upcoming module; finally get some real men into CM's Normandy fray.
  7. Loved it until the 1.0.1 update busted it for me under Lion. Sigh.
  8. I have no idea why (certain) people complain. I'm on a Mac. 1.0.1 is broken now for me and reinstalling 1.0 wants my activation key again. So it's broken right now, so what? Phil's on it and will get it all fixed up shiny and it's a computer game after all, my life hasn't stopped because I can't play a game. Gives me a chance to read a book, get a game or two of Up Front! in and maybe Endeavor. To those complaining about it breaking under 1.0.1 and Lion. It'll get fixed, be patient people.
  9. That appears to be the same error I'm now getting Phil, btw.
  10. Awesome! My late father-in-law fought with the 8th, 2nd Polish Corps, 5th Kresowa Infantry Division and was awarded the Polish Cross of Valour for an act of individual valour and courage on the battlefield. I'm looking forward to actions set in that theatre and with those units. Great news.
  11. Working on a tiny one myself ... a small bridge capture scenario set south of St. Lo as the Yanks drive towards Vire, near the small village of Sainte-Marie-Laumont. But yard work and my kids sports schedules keep interfering with any major progress, not to mention full-time work.
  12. I should have also added that mine arrived in Waterloo, Ontario yesterday without any additional HST or other charges, and in perfect condition. It looks amazing and the first extra slot now holds the original ©2000 CMBO CD until all four expansions come out.
  13. Wow, really? Tell that to my dead Yanks who couldn't call in a mortar fire mission fast enough to neutralize the German threat that had suddenly formed up on my flank.
  14. I know they're there, but don't even see them anymore. Considering I play WeGo only, that's pretty significant UI statement. My mind blots them out entirely. I've never used them.
  15. Fantastic work! Makes the game look superb, can't thank you enough.
  16. My wife just called and told me I have a package waiting for me from Battlefront when I get home (Waterloo, Ontario). Made up for forgetting my swim googles today and having to skip my lunch hour laps. Is it time to leave work, yet?
  17. In the CMBN screen shot thread I posted a couple of pics (http://www.battlefront.com/community/showpost.php?p=1275354&postcount=206) from a recent tiny QB I started. I noticed the other screen shots surrounding and was struck by the difference between having shadows turned off (mine) vs. on (the screen shots Jose posted right under mine). My model/texture quality seems higher and therefore nicer at first glance, but then I am impressed with how much shadows add to the gameplay with the lower quality models/textures (jaggies evident). Given that shadows have a significant impact on my frame rates (iMac 27" i3 4GB RAM and mobile 5670 512MB video) I'm going to experiment with shadows on again and lower my model quality ... but wonder what other users are generally doing. So, community, assuming that you have a decent rig to play the game on, how many of you have chosen lower 3D quality for shadows on? Or how many play with shadows off to enhance visual model/texture quality? Call me "Curious in Waterloo".
  18. Fleeing in the face of a heavy US attack. Advancing under cover of smoke and supporting fire.
  19. This is good news for the rest of us in southern Ontario. It means they're making they're way past the postal hotel (major Canada Post sorting facility in Mississauga) ... hopefully arrive before the impending postal strike.
  20. Ditto. Love it, can't wait to see it in the Repo.
