Chad Harrison
NATO is great. Really enjoying it. Great work by everyone on that one. Planning on getting CMA this weekend. Hearing good things about that one too. But . . . Its been forever since we had a Normandy bone! 8 months since the last wave of screenshots. I cant tell you how many times I have looked at those handful of shots. I know this probably comes across as begging . . . well, thats exactly where many of us are I think. Modern was a nice distraction from WWII, but its time to go back home. Bone time? Thanks in advance Chad

Chops
Chad, Here is an oldie but goodie for you - enjoy! 11-16-2009 There are only two significant things left to code for Normandy. The rest is the normal pile of odds and ends, ranging from time consuming (scenarios and campaign) to the easy (2D weapons icons) and from the cool (vehicle textures) to the mundane (manual). The detail stuff takes a lot of time, but not 10 months Steve
panzermartin
I was told from a beta tester that there is a problem with the new water modelling. Keeps leaking all over the map.
Chad Harrison
Yeah, and when he posted that a year ago, I was so excited Combat Mission is pretty much the only game I play anymore. WWII is my favorite conflict. The Western Front is my favorite theatre. And the Normandy Campaign is my favorite campaign. So yeah, I am antsy to get this show on the road
scottie
sitting about waiting for CM:N too, painful it is I find getting my head into other projects helps , time flys by that way and i dont think about it so much. In this context the less CM:N news the better ...

phil stanbridge
Moving around every single soldier on the field of battle makes baby jesus cry. LOL You can 'group' them into squads, you just have the extra feature of micro management if you want it. Works for me!

It seemed to arcade like in many ways. Is there a little more meat on it? besides the eye candy.

Sergei
Moving around every single soldier on the field of battle makes baby jesus cry. Fortunately that's not what CMN is like. That just doesn't go far enough! Indeed, in CMN you will be controlling all the limbs of all your soldiers! Confused? Don't worry, Charles was kind enough to code a little demo to introduce the idea: http://www.foddy.net/Athletics.html
Chad Harrison
TOW? Sorry, just cant. Once you go CM, nothing else can satisfy that thirst for realistic, tactical gameplay. Nothing I am telling you. Speaking of which, I dont even know what to call CM:Normandy. It would atleast be nice to have an *official* name to dream about
