orwell
Odd and neat, but hardly worthy of being called creepy... till you swim next to it. But that's a little improbable.

John Kettler
I'm right here, and that's a trip! The SF creature comment is well taken, seeing as how it looks like some sort of living antenna array rather than an even remotely typical biological entity. IMO, this would be right at home in any number of role-playing games. They could call it the Tangler, and divers are its favorite food, though it finds their wrappers disgusting. Other Means
It doesn't creep me out. What do I win? What more could you want? Your mastery of the squidgeys of the depth knows no bounds. Women want you and men want to BE you. God bless you. And your organ.
Spanish Bombs
I don't see what the big deal is. We see 'elbowed' Squids on an almost daily basis at my house.

Michael Emrys
Tell me this doesn't creep you out. I decided in childhood that most things that live in the sea are either strangely beautiful or very, very weird and scary. Sometimes both. howardb
Makes me wonder what else is down there. We think we know, but every year there's new undiscovered species documented.

Regards, John Kettler Ok, I'm an idiot and I have to ask, what is a 'living antenna array?' Do you mean a system for an organism to monitor to interact and with environment such as a nervous system, or a nerve net, or sumfink similar? thanks!
Michael Emrys
Ok, I'm an idiot and I have to ask, what is a 'living antenna array?' Do you mean a system for an organism to monitor to interact and with environment such as a nervous system, or a nerve net, or sumfink similar? thanks! I read it this way: envision the antenna array on the mast of a typical modern naval ship, USN for instance. Now invert that and add an organic body onto what is now the top and the resemblance is there. Michael

GWDWD
Am I the only one who is not surprised that this was spotted close to Houston? Now I'll be half-expecting to wake up in the middle of the night for no apparent reason and sit up just enough for one to engulf my head and suck brain out of my nose. Or somefink.
